We had 3 reputable companies/electricians out to the house over the past year to troubleshoot our garage power circuit and solve the mystery of why the breaker switch was tripping for no apparent reason. But the outages continued. Jamison has been our go-to electrician, but we were unable to get them out over this past year because they were booked weeks in advance. However, this week they were available. They didn't just send one guy out. They sent a crew. They were here for hours on day one, trying to find what had been causing the illusive glitch. They tweaked some areas vulnerable to water, and fixed a compromised switch, but admitted that they'd found no decisive "smoking gun." But they didn't give up. Day two they were back at it. Time for surgery on our courtyard floor. After hours of digging, probing, thinking, and moving things around, there came, through the wind and the cold, this jubilant and authoritative declaration: "We found it! Here's your problem right here!" And there it was... an underground conduit that had been lanced in two; shriveled from arcing and who knows what. I haven't even mentioned the attitude, friendliness, and approachability of each of these workers. You can tell when people really care. And the price was HALF of that which had been quoted by another vendor. If you have an electrical issue, be of good cheer. Hope is only a personable phone call away. I called Matt Jamison on a Sunday intending to leaving a voicemail and he picked up so imagine my happiness that I was able to get ahold of someone on a weekend! I described the work I needed performed (several outlets replaced, a couple circuits fixed, a 240 plug converted to 110 and some kitchen lighting removed) and he quoted me about $450. I don't know pricing but I agreed. I let him know I commute for work and thus could we lock in a specific date for work, we agreed on Wednesday but he would let me know what time. I then texted him pictures of what I needed done to assist with his job and make it easier. On Monday I filed for the day off with work, I would not be paid but that was fine I needed this work done. By Wednesday morning I had not heard from Matt Jamison at all so I texted him asking what time he would be coming by. He texted me back saying he was on a tough panel job, and could come out Friday instead! What?! We both agreed on a date, and he not only cancelled on me (and I lost a days worth of pay, thanks!!!) but didn't even have the professionalism to call me to say he couldn't make it? Wow! I will NEVER use this guy for electric, what sort of business treats a new customer like that? Matt Jamison does... He never showed up and never called. I called Matt Jamison Electric to come over and replace my ceiling fan. The electrical in the light component blew some kind of circuit. I decided to get a new one. All the electricians are extremely busy nowadays but he took the time out of his busy schedule to fit me in. He arrived on time, very courteous, respectful, kind, Knowledgeable, just an all-around really great fella. He got right to work and changed my ceiling fan quickly, he paid close attention to detail and picked up all of the remains, from the original ceiling fan and all of the trash from the new one. And disposed of it properly. Left my house in the same shape he found it. Clean very clean. I would definitely recommend him to anyone, and I will definitely call him again. The electricity in my house went off on Sunday, Mother's Day. It eventually went back on and I re-set the clocks in my kitchen. I did not realize until it got dark that the outlets in my bathrooms and the ceiling fan in my office had no power. In a panic, I called Jamison -- on Mother's Day evening! I expected to get a voicemail, but Matt answered the phone. He was very patient and kind. He was booked on Monday, but he did come to my house later in the day. He is very thorough and began checking at the source: electrical panel. He then narrowed the problem down to one breaker. He showed me how to reset the GFI button. He also tested all the outlets that were affected and gave advice about "loads" on a breaker, etc. In summary, Matt is exceedingly kind, thorough, efficient, knowledgeable, customer friendly, and most of all -- trustworthy. They took great care in protecting my pool table and floor around the job covering everything in plastic. Matt Tribbey of Jamison Electric was hired to install a secondary electrical panel in our home for a new spa/pool. This also required digging a trench along the side of our house and across our backyard. He gave us a fair price, was there when he said he would be, was very professional, and was very patient. His work could not be completed until our concrete contractor was ready to pour and unfortunately for Matt he had to wait through our hiring, firing, re-hiring (2nd chance) and re-firing of the concrete contractor. Before calling Jamison Electric, I had two electricians cancel service appointments. During the estimate phase, I told Matt about how disappointed I was with the cancellations. I remarked, "I guess if a larger "big ticket" comes along they drop the smaller job. I guess that's the nature of the business for any contractor," Matt said something that really impressed me, "Big or small I treat my customers the same." My job was under $500. It required two motion sensor lights, boxes, and direct electrical connections. He told me he was busy, but would call in a week. Yesterday he called, and today he did the job in about 2 hours.
