But the outages continued. Jamison has been our go-to electrician, but we were unable to get them out over this past year because they were booked weeks in advance. However, this week they were available. They didn't just send one guy out. They sent a crew. They were here for hours on day one, trying to find what had been causing the illusive glitch. They tweaked some areas vulnerable to water, and fixed a compromised switch, but admitted that they'd found no decisive "smoking gun." But they didn't give up. Day two they were back at it. Time for surgery on our courtyard floor. After hours of digging, probing, thinking, and moving things around, there came, through the wind and the cold, this jubilant and authoritative declaration: "We found it! Here's your problem right here!" And there it was... an underground conduit that had been lanced in two; shriveled from arcing and who knows what. I haven't even mentioned the attitude, friendliness, and approachability of each of these workers. You can tell when people really care. And the price was HALF of that which had been quoted by another vendor. If you have an electrical issue, be of good cheer. Hope is only a personable phone call away. Just call as soon as you can.

He was new on Yelp and didn't have any reviews yet, but I was very pleased with his customer service and competitive rates, so I decided to proceed with his services. I requested to be called 30 min before arrival, and he did. He arrived timely and geared up with all kinds of gadgets to get the job done quickly and efficiently. I needed two outlets installed under my kitchen sink, one operated by a switch for the garbage disposal, and the other one needed to always have power so I could connect my dishwasher to it. Right away, he noticed that some of the outlets in the kitchen weren't up to code since the electrician who installed them forgot to wire them correctly. They were all supposed to be GFI protected and they weren't. He quickly fixed that by connecting them all to a single GFI outlet, saving me a lot of money, and keeping my family safe. Since the kitchen outlets weren't properly wired, I thought the bathroom ones might not be either. So I asked him if he could please check the other GFI outlets in the house to make sure that they were properly installed, and we found that they weren't. My yard outlets weren't protected, the bathroom ones, the garage... a huge mess. Thankfully, with his 20+ years of experience, he simply opened up a couple of receptacles, wired them properly, and done! Everything was working perfectly, safely, and up to code. AV Electric was nearby and stopped by to check how much energy we were getting to further assess if SCE had to fix it. He fixed what I couldn't figure out how to fix.
