First of all, we had a weird conversation to start. Then they said they would come out to see my…read moreweeds and give me estimate. We planned it for Thursday. They called me Thursday at 1:30 PM and asked if I wanted them to come out today. The girl who called sounded like she was 7 years old. I told them that I thought we had already established that they were coming out today. So we made an appointment for 2:30 PM. They did not show up until 3:00 PM. I watched them on my cameras, pull up in an unmarked vehicle, a regular sedan. I saw them move the car up in front of my house and then back up, like they were trying to view my backyard. They never got out of the car. I thought they were they were Amazon because I saw the Amazon delivery guy come while this was all taking place. As the Amazon guy was leaving, my phone rang and it was this company calling me to ask me if I was home. She said they didn't think I was home. How would they know that if they didn't come to the door to let me know they were there? They asked me to meet them outside. I met them outside and it was two women, which I felt was odd. While she pointed to the front lawn, she told me that if I want them to "mow my lawn" it would be $300, and if I wanted them to pull my weeds up, it would be $900. What? That's the most ridiculous price I've ever heard. Not to mention, she didn't say if this price was for both the front lawn and the back yard, which they never even asked to see, or just the front yard, but either way, I would not pay that ridiculous price. Obviously, they have little experience because you cannot "mow" my lawn. I don't have a lawn; my yard is rocks with grass and weeds that have grown around the yard. Maybe if they had gotten out of their car, they would've seen that. But again, as I said in the beginning of this review, we had a weird conversation and I had, at that time, informed them that I had rocks in my yard. I told them that that was way too expensive and I wasn't paying that. So they left. I would never hire these people.

The dishwasher refused to run right. My wife and I replaced the outlet, and that did exactly NOTHING. We try to troubleshoot what's happening, and I manage to blow the whole house breaker. I can't solve the small problem, and now I can't get the power on to the house! Wonderful! So, we go a night without power. Eat by candlelight and play games together on our phones rather than watch TV. The next morning, Chris answers the phone right away. Another 20 minutes and $140, and we are launched, happily back into the 21st Century. I asked for an explanation, and after laying the issue out 3 times, I think I get it. There's a tab on the outlet that must be broken off before it's installed in a situation like ours. Because we didn't, it overloaded the system and blew the breaker. Our specific main breaker switch is so sticky or unused that it took a surprisingly manly amount of force to get it to move, and as a dude who's broken a couple dozen things by torquing on 'em too hard, I'd been hesitant to apply the force required to actually flip the switch. Thank you, Chris, for your quick, cheerful, capable response. It's nice to have things working again the way they should.

Wow, I don't even know where to begin…read more I initially called David Electric for a quote to install some outlets and David asked if I would like one over the phone, or if I wanted a person to come out. I opted to have someone come out just so I can be clear on what I'm looking for. Prior to arrival I received a text that Sam was en route. Sam arrived on time, and looked at where I wanted the outlets and quickly provided me a quote. I went ahead and called back to accept the quote, and Sam was able to come out the next day. Sam and Dallas showed up on time and went straight to work. They were both hard working, respectful, personable, and extremely knowledgable. They installed 4 GFCI outlets and replaced another outlet in about 3 hours. I was very impressed because every time they wanted to move personal items on the countertop they would ask me first. Sam also noticed that I was working, so he would warn me when it was going to get loud, and asked if I would be in any meetings or if it was okay to shout out to me - I found this to be extremely considerate. I asked Sam a few questions about what he thinks I should and shouldn't consider, and he was very honest. He had valid reasons for what I should consider, and he bluntly told me he's not going to try to sell me on something I don't need. I really appreciated the transparency. You could definitely tell by the way Dallas and Sam treated not just me, but one another that they are both men of integrity and it was such a pleasure to have them come out. I would definitely call David Electric if I have any more electrical needs!

I've hired these guys a few times now. The last job I had them do was 4 years ago to run electrical…read morein my yard for a hot tub and at that time an above ground pool. They found some wire underground that they decided to tap into for the job and proceeded to run conduit along my wood fence (it was supposed to be along the house and NOT from underground) which was not what we had discussed as the plan for that job. I voiced my concern about how it was done and they came back out and did the job as it was originally planned to do. The whole time the job was being worked on, my windows were open and I could hear the apprentice complaining about having to dig and how the dirt was hard (I get manual labor isn't for everyone, be professional at least) but they "corrected" the work and that was the last I called on them. Fast forward a few years and we have more work being done in our yard only to discover the wire they ran underground to one of the outlets not only was bare once it was in soil (I was under the impression it was run with conduit underground), but also only buried about 4-5" deep in most places. Although Joe has always been nice when he has been here doing work, his staff comes off lazy and incompetent and the work they completed was a HUGE safety hazard we were unaware of. I don't think I'd ever hire these guys again.
