Jorge knows what he's doing, you can tell he has a fundamental understanding of the trade and just knows how things work and can easily explain what he needs to do. I know that sounds like a basic thing you'd expect from any electrician, but this is just not the case and you can quickly tell that Jorge's knowledge is well above others. After fixing the existing issues from the previous electrician, I had Jorge upgrade my main panel to 200 amps. Another great job by Jorge, he did such a good job that the LADWP electricians that came out to connect the power to the pole said "the electrician did a great job and made our jobs easier". That's not an easy compliment to get, just speaks to Jorge's skill level. He is very trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone. Every time I called Jorge after the project was done, he answered or called me back in a reasonable amount of time, he supports his customers after the project as well.

There was a small issue with the Tesla charger installation (which we only realized months later when the car was finally delivered) which Maine Electric came and fixed immediately. Strong work ethic and they show up on time when they say they will. I was shocked how quickly their crew works, they finished what seemed to me like a pretty big job in only one day. What a pleasant surprise, because it's usually the other way around. And special bonus, they were very mindful about cutting my drywall carefully so I could re-use the cut-out sections. It saved me time and money when my handyman came to patch the walls. After Positively Electric finished the big jobs and my place, kitchen installers showed up at my place a few days later to install new cabinets. Turns out I needed to move an outlet a few inches for the cabinets to work. I called Tony, the owner of Positively Electric, asking him in desperation if they could come out within the hour. Yes! I was so relieved. Their speedy response allowed my move ahead with the kitchen install, instead of a costly rescheduling. I really appreciate the Pos Elec team, nice guys too. I've hired these guys a few times now. The last job I had them do was 4 years ago to run electrical…read morein my yard for a hot tub and at that time an above ground pool. They found some wire underground that they decided to tap into for the job and proceeded to run conduit along my wood fence (it was supposed to be along the house and NOT from underground) which was not what we had discussed as the plan for that job. I voiced my concern about how it was done and they came back out and did the job as it was originally planned to do. The whole time the job was being worked on, my windows were open and I could hear the apprentice complaining about having to dig and how the dirt was hard (I get manual labor isn't for everyone, be professional at least) but they "corrected" the work and that was the last I called on them. Fast forward a few years and we have more work being done in our yard only to discover the wire they ran underground to one of the outlets not only was bare once it was in soil (I was under the impression it was run with conduit underground), but also only buried about 4-5" deep in most places. Although Joe has always been nice when he has been here doing work, his staff comes off lazy and incompetent and the work they completed was a HUGE safety hazard we were unaware of. I don't think I'd ever hire these guys again.

We ALSO lost power in the Living Room, Staircase, Upstairs Loft, and OUR Master Bedroom (1/2 of it), Bathroom as well. Upon checking the breakers, I noticed there was NOTHING out of place or tripped, so I was puzzled. Going through Angi's List didn't help us much as the handyman there were a bit pricey. We contacted a family Real Estate member, and asked them if they knew of anyone that might be able to help us out. They stated that they did, passed along the business name and told us to call them as they had given them a notice we'd be calling. We called up Israelectric, and were able to get an Estimate for the power problem after the technician came over to inspect the possible cause(s). We received a very acceptable quote and decided to have them do the work. There were a couple of additional electrical type tasks needed as well. ALL of the work was done in a very timely, professional, quality manner. The technician was VERY helpful, explained everything needing to be done, and as they went along to keep us in the loop. The dishwasher refused to run right. My wife and I replaced the outlet, and that did exactly NOTHING. We try to troubleshoot what's happening, and I manage to blow the whole house breaker. I can't solve the small problem, and now I can't get the power on to the house! Wonderful! So, we go a night without power. Eat by candlelight and play games together on our phones rather than watch TV. The next morning, Chris answers the phone right away. Another 20 minutes and $140, and we are launched, happily back into the 21st Century. I asked for an explanation, and after laying the issue out 3 times, I think I get it. There's a tab on the outlet that must be broken off before it's installed in a situation like ours. Because we didn't, it overloaded the system and blew the breaker. Our specific main breaker switch is so sticky or unused that it took a surprisingly manly amount of force to get it to move, and as a dude who's broken a couple dozen things by torquing on 'em too hard, I'd been hesitant to apply the force required to actually flip the switch. Thank you, Chris, for your quick, cheerful, capable response. It's nice to have things working again the way they should.
