John to the rescue! Our bathroom tub's handle cartridge failed which meant water was uncontrollably flowing. We researched how to fix it ourselves and for a minute there thought we could DIY this solution. Thankfully (after a trip to Lowe's plumbing section) we came to our senses, consulted yelp, and called John Horn. To our relief he was available to help us and within an hour of calling on a Saturday afternoon he showed up and took care of the cartridge! We were actually twice as glad we called in a pro because he said lots of calls he gets are people who try to fix this problem on their own and end up causing more damage to their pipes. Horn Plumbing is great! John Horn took my call even when he was out of town for the weekend. I told him our sewer pipes were draining slow and needed cleaning, he said to call back on Monday and he would come by. I called first thing Monday morning and John was at my house within the hour, he services our sewer pipes under the house and all the way out to the street. I had a PVC rupture at my home so I called these guys to help fix the problem. Two young reps showed up and got to work, but the end result was mediocre at best. I called the owner the very next day and requested the job be re-done. The owner, John, came out and after some re-work got it done to my satisfaction, but his smug attitude made the whole experience very unpleasant. I have used John the plumber many years old and was very satisfied with the work. I believe it was John himself that fixed my clogged sink. He was very professional and curteous and educational that I appreciated so much that I kept my receipt with his info in case I needed his service in the future. Fast forward years later I needed a.plumber once again for a clogged sink and bathtub in o e of my bathrooms. I won't mention the his full name even though I wish too I'll just state his name started with the letter M. Not right away but soon after I started to ask him questions he either didn't answer or or other times was very smug and one time laughed at me for the question I asked. I wanted to ask him to leave but u really wanted my bathtub unclogged. So I convinced myself maybe he was having a bad day. He k ew that both the sink and bathtub were clogged. After he unclogged the tub he said he was done. I asked him if the sink was also unclogged. He didn't even check it I had to run the water in the sink to show him. Again I just kept telling myself " he's having a bad day." I left him to work on the sink. 25 min later he tells me it is now unclogged. I thanked him offered his some cold water and paid the bill. I was shocked to see that there's was water on the floor around the sink and bathtub. Again I told myself he is having a.bad day so I mopped up the water. I don't know why I didn't open the cabinet of the sink he had been working on. 24 hrs later I decided to take a bath. The inside base of all my cabinets have either shelving paper or as in the bathroom a hand towel to protect the wood base. The base of this cabinet is a very nice Chantilly lace wood laminate. After I took my bath i.opened the cabinet and was shocked to see that the hand towel protecting the base was almost saturated with water. I had a eyeshadow/blush case in it's own case that had water damage and the decorative paper was peeling off the cardboard. I lifted the hand towel and the base of the cabinet was already starting to turn in to black mold. The bottom of the towel was covered in black mold. I live in Mojave,Ca. It's the summer and we r having heatwaves and humidity and.my house is equipt with a swamp cooler. All ingredients for black mold. I don't know if they r suppose to clean up the water that is left behind and if not at least they should relate that there is a wet hand towel in a closed cabinet or maybe it's our job too keep tabs on everything they r doing so things like this don't happen. As I mentioned before John himself has been out here once before and he was very professional. But I didn't luck out this time. I bleached the heck out of the base of the cabinet. I will have to watch and make sure it doesn't come back. I don't think it is John's fault. He can't be everywhere. I'm sure he taught him very well how to do.plumbing but once there on there own it's a different matter. I wasn't t going to share this.persons name but I changed my mind. His name is Marcus he is of mixed race or African American. Has tattoos .is about 5'6 a little on the heavy side. If he shows up at your door please be beware. read more

John has come to my rescue twice by now. First I had a sewage pipe that was filled up with roots from my palm tree. The sewage came running out of my shower and bath tub. The second time I woke up in the morning and my house was flooded - a slab leak. Both were devastating experiences. But John made sure the necessary repairs were done. He worked with me in any way possible to meet the demands of the insurance, to allow me to have at least a piece of normality remain in my live and he also educated me about the process so that I felt a little less helpless in all that devastation. Our sink clogged up last night and water started spraying out of the pipes underneath. We saw the reviews and decided to give them a shot. They put us down for their first appointment this morning. John Horn came on time and got everything fixed and running. We had pipes installed very strangely and he got it all fixed and installed correctly. What can I say? John and Luke are the perfect plumbers. I called John for an estimate on a drain leak we had under our tiled concrete porch floor. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and stated that it was a maximum quote for the work he anticipated (you can't know what you'll find until you uncover the problem). Well, the work wasn't as straight forward as originally thought; they performed work well beyond the original scope of work. Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a bill that was lower than John's estimate! John Horn Plumbing literally saved my home today and thousands in unnecessary repairs. A competitor could not unclog my sewer and set an appointment to come tear out my walls to fix "faulty plumbing". My gut said, "NO WAY". I was referred to John by a friend and gave him an early call, since the demo was to begin that morning, and explained my situation and my dire need of a professional who knew his stuff before the other "plumber" arrived. He was at my front door in 45 mins!! It was an extra difficult job, but John NEVER gave up once! He found the clog and worked it until, 5 hours later, it was removed!! Not a single hole cut in any wall! He kept a positive, upbeat outlook even when it looked questionable. This is a man and a company you can TRUST!! From here on out John is our plumber! We had a sewage drain, where all our toilets were flooding our bathrooms. We called about 9:30pm and John tried to assist us instead of coming out, but as it turned out he had to come to the house.
