I wanted to have two hose bibs replaced. Called them at 4PM, they came out at 5:45 PM, and the job was done by 6:30 PM. This wasn't a rush job for me, so I was surprised they came by that quickly. The job was done competently and correctly. The replacement bibs were good quality. The cost was about the same as other plumbers estimated, but they weren't cheap either. Asked the owner Jeramie to fix a garbage disposal at my rental house. He gave a quote of $505 and I said wow how much is the disposal? He said $250 so I figured I was grow heavy duty one. When all said and done he said the total was $430. I was happy for the discount but then asked the tenant for a picture of the disposal. It was a cheap $100 one from lowes or home depot. I didn't say anything to him yet. Then asking for receipt he took over a week to get me. Send the receipt stating he installed a 1/2 hp disposal which is what I thought I was getting. I called On Call Plumbing because we shut off the water supply to our house but water was still dribbling out of all the exposed angle valves where our faucets used to be (our house is being renovated) and leaking onto the floor. Called for a possible slab leak after having two other plumbers come by for a free estimate. Based on reviews, On Call had the equipment needed to detect a slab leak. A few weeks ago, I had my main line backed up. The first plumber came out, and said my line had tree roots. He cleared the line but didn't solve the root problem, so five days later, the line was backed up again, and I had a plumbing emergency with human waste spilling onto my patio at night on a weekend. Last month in mid November we had a sudden water heater incident in our garage. Our 50 gallon whirlpool water plastic heater drain valve failed and popped out of the tank. Thereby draining all of the water and silt out of the tank into our garage splashing onto both of our cars. This was our third water heater in 33 years. On Sunday, May 14, 2023, my hot water suddenly went cold and so I checked the hot water heater. No leaks, but attempts to relight the pilot failed and instead produced a Status Light Code anomaly with a remedy from the operator manual: "Replace gas control valve," a $145 part. However, with the combination part procurement, lack of tools, and inexperience, I decided to contact On Call Plumbing and Jeremy and son came out next day. Because the part replacement suggested a new gas burner replacement as well, a repair would now require two parts. With that, plus my hot water heater also being out of warranty, we negotiated a new heater. They then removed the old heater and later returned with a new one, installed it, and also soldered a new copper pressure relief valve extension to an external pipe. My elderly mother had a toilet that wouldn't flush. She had contacted a plumber who said he'd come out "next week", and for a non-flushing toilet, that's just not good enough. We had an emergency water leak (more like a literal geyser) take place at the meter box outside the garage door at our townhome unit.
