I thought I'd give him a chance and ask him to submit a bid along with other contractors. After a week of not hearing from him I messaged him and kindly asked that he submit his bid so I could consider him for the job. His wife responded by saying we don't know what we are getting into. They seem very defensive. It is normal and recommended practice for you to get multiple bids on your work, they seemed offended by it. I responded that I meant no offense and never heard back. They are unprofessional. If you search for the reviews marked as "useful" on yelp, you'll see they all say they are incredibly rude. You can read the rest of the reviews and notice that the attitude problem makes John and Sherly a pain to work with. If you want to be treated with respect, stay away!
