I shopped around with several solar companies before reaching out to Solar Shoppers. I was referred by a friend and could not have been happier with the decision. I first spoke with Levon on August 10th and informed him of exactly what I was looking for. Levon designed the exact system I was looking for and was available day and night to answer all of the questions we had regarding changes and updates to the system. Levon was extremely knowledgeable on the entire process and emailed us during every step of the process. Our system was installed on September 7th and would have been earlier if it wasn't for us delaying the project being out of town and not getting the documents back to Levon sooner. Overall even with the delays the system was installed less than 30 days after contacting Levon. The install was very smooth and the foreman for the install project explained the entire process that morning and what the next steps would be. Again everything that was explained was exactly how the process went to the very last detail. The solar inspection from the city was on September 16th and we received PTO on September 20th. Our system has been operating for almost two months now I don't have one complaint about except I wish I would've call Levon at Solar Shoppers from the beginning. Buyers beware. If you're considering doing business with this company, I strongly recommend reading the contract very carefully and getting clarification on every single term before signing anything. I was presented with a contract involving a 25-year commitment, and after reviewing it, I had a long list of questions because I found information that appeared to be missing, unclear, or contradictory. These were not minor questions, they were important details that could affect us financially over the life of the agreement. I sent my questions directly to Levon Juni, Vice President of the company, expecting that someone in leadership would take the time to address them. His response was that he didn't have time to answer all of my questions. That response was extremely concerning to me. When you are asking a customer to commit to a 25-year agreement, I believe there should be transparency and enough time to explain the terms and address reasonable questions before expecting someone to sign. My advice to anyone considering this company: slow down, read everything, ask questions, and don't feel pressured to sign until you completely understand what you're agreeing to. If something in the contract is unclear or contradictory, get it explained in writing before moving forward. For me, the lack of clarity and the unwillingness to fully address my questions were major red flags. I believe in a company that puts their customer first and I'm glad I chose Solar Shoppers because that's how I felt dealing business with them. No wonder they're AV's best. Took them 4 days to install the solar panels and less than a week for the inspection. They're very fast and reliable. Others will take a month to 3 months. Anyways, I was looking to add solar panels in my existing system since our current system doesn't produce enough to cover our whole electricity bill now that we have electric vehicle. I asked a quote from 5 local solar companies and Solar Shoppers stood out among them. Others made me feel that they don't wanna have business with me and some took their time to respond to my quote request. Here's a brief experience of my solar installation experience with Solar Shoppers: 1. Initial Quote - I filled out the form in their website and Vanessa was quick to respond. I wasn't available for a phone call at that time so I told her to just email me the initial information she needed in order for them to properly quote me. I'm glad they were not just giving me a quote without knowing my needs & goals because some companies won't even bother to ask you and just straight up give you a quote which doesn't really in line with your needs. 2. Phone Call/Quote/Follow up - Levon gave me a detailed quote in a nice pdf presentation file. He also answered all my questions with regards to financing, installation & inspection which I found it really helpful. He was very patient with me and I'm glad he was able to honor the cash rebate. He kept me up to date with everything. All the documents provided can be e-signed which is great since I prefer it than keeping papers. 3. Financing - I was given options for financing and chose the best one for me. They will provide you with best financing options with no downpayment. The loan application was all done online and was approved right away. 4. Installation - Vanessa called me to schedule the installation and that the installers will arrive between 7am-9am. The installers arrived on time and they were very nice and accommodating. So it took a day to install 19 panels. Tod and his team worked very hard even though it was scourging hot. I even asked them if they need some water but they already have a cooler containing bottles of water. I'm glad to know that the company is taking good care of their employees as well. 5. Inspection - They will be the one who will schedule the inspection for you. They also take care of the permits & SCE NEM application. The inspection got approved right away. Alex was present and took good care of it. 6. Monitoring - There's an app which you can monitor your energy production. It's free and has good reviews in the app store. Very user friendly and straight forward. Now that my system has been installed and city already approved it, I'm just waiting for pto (permission to operate) from sce and I'm all set. I can't complain good price and great customer service. I highly recommend them. I had them install my solar panels on August 12th of 2020, and I finally got on the grid January 1st 2021. Which wasn't their fauit, it was Edison's. Last year in October my inverter went out and Solar Shoppers took care of it. No questions asked. Levon Juni's daughter took very good care of me. Bought our system outright 3 years ago. Installation was quick and easy, they did a great job and I have not paid an electric bill since. Last week my app showed a 40% reduction in power, and even though I own my system and Solar Shoppers doesn't have any responsibility to my system, Shawn sent a tech (Zeke) on a Saturday to check my system. He checked it out ran updates and couldn't find anything wrong, but we couldn't get tech support from the monitoring company till Monday. So Levon came on Monday and found that the system was working prefect it was the monitoring system that was out and is being worked on. I shopped around for a good year before I made a solar purchase for my home and this summer it felt like my electric bill went up to almost double. We have zero complaints about Solar Shoppers and highly recommend them to anyone looking to install solar. First off, out of 5 different companies we received quotes and they were the lowest when calculating cost/kwh and in our judgement had the best, non-pressure, sales pitch and evaluation of our needs. Levon came by within a day or two of asking for a quote, evaluated our energy bill and factored in the future delivery of a Tesla with our expected daily driving. The system has almost been active for two months now and it is providing enough electricity to cover our consumption (with the Tesla as well). I found him personable, and completely understanding when we told him we were receiving other quotes as well. The installation itself was quick, effortless, and able to start nearly immediately. We notified them we were taking their offer on a Thursday evening and installation started the next Monday and was complete by the end of the week including having all the inspections complete with no effort required of us. Some other companies were quoting 30-90 days as a start date. As I noted before the system is working perfectly, our last electric bill was six dollars and it pretty much rained/snowed half the month so it's exceeding expectations. read more

I contacted these folks a long while back for solar and was told that they could get me into a system for a price that would double my monthly against edison. They looked over my bill and the system they wanted to build was double the cost I pay. I passed happily and talked to a few bigger not local companies. The funny thing is each other company told me point blank that going solar made no financial sense at the amount of power I used. After reading responses from this company to folks who had issues, i am 300% glad I didn't give them my business. I don't think a ceo needs to personally attack anyone and should be more aware of how damaging to the company image his personal attacks in a public forum are. I'm a little late writing this but just wanted to say the other 1 star reviews are just and anyone considering this company should consider this. If you're spending $20000 plus do you really want to be stuck dealing with a company that will publicly attack a consumer instead of just sucking it up and fixing the issue, and how good is a warranty if the company wont fix the problem. Guess with them the saying should "let's destroy our reputation as long as we look like we're right. Who cares who we offend or attack" instead of the good Ole customers always right. read more
