Service review 3 year post-installation. We had a 10kWh (25 panel at 400w each panel) Vibe Solar REC AlphaPure system installed in 2022. Absolutely excellent system with flawless performance. So for design and installation we give Vibe 5 stars and I would still give the new Vibe installation 5 stars still today. Richard Vermulien and Mike the Installer did top notch work. Well fall of 2025 we had some intense winds (we are in a very high wind area) and ONE of the 25 panels got a bit loose. It took a few weeks to get Mike out to do service but he added more clamps and UFO screws to hold the rogue panel down before that one rogue panel could complete it's escape. So 5 star installation AND 5 star service is what this review is all about. Vibe has been the total package. They gave us a wonderful system that has performed in extreme weather and when that extreme weather caused a panel to get loose, they came and clamped it back down at 0 cost. Would I buy from Vibe again? Yes, absolutely. You can see the video of our wind turbine furling in sustained 45mph winds with gusts to 60mph as well as a photo of some intense winds as well. The winds here are no joke (which is quite rather why we have the wind turbine in the first place). The roof is standing seam metal roof with clamps to hold the array down. Vibe delivered a perfect system and has taken amazing care of us. We generate 40kWh to 60kWh from solar alone on sunny days depending on season. The REC solar system has generated over 65MWh to date. The system has not yet paid for itself, but is saving us about $5,000 per year in electricity so it will within a few years. read more

I chose Vibe Solar as they are a locally veteren owned company that does not use sub contractors. From start to finish Vibe was professional yet friendly, with great communication regarding all aspects of the installation. Rick even helped navigate my HOA requirements for approval. Since the system went live in 2023 I have paid zero to SoCal Edison as the solar system supplies all needs. Vibe was there post haste when a panel stopped responding due to a cabling malfunction and had it up and running under warrenty. I highly recommend Vibe Solar and value that they are not a nationwide reseller that sub contracts installation to a low bidder. All Vibe personnel are company employees which is a very good thing. Broken promises, months of delays, and hundreds in extra charges -- avoid Vibe Solar. If you're considering Vibe Solar, please read this before signing anything. My experience with this company has been nothing short of exhausting. The project started back in 2024, and after an initial proposal they simply disappeared for months. They resurfaced in December, when I had to cancel because my daughter was weeks from being born -- a delay caused entirely by their lack of communication. We restarted the project in 2025, and again it took them from May until July just to send a final proposal. They scheduled the installation and promised repeatedly that my system would be up and running as soon as the install was complete. This promise was important because I already had an existing Sunrun system, and Vibe disconnected it to route power to new Tesla batteries. Installation was July 17th. My solar didn't start producing again until mid-November. That's three full months of zero solar production in the middle of summer -- months when solar production is highest. My electric bill jumped from $300/month to nearly $1,000/month, on top of the $320/month loan for the new panels and batteries. All of this because Vibe Solar made promises without understanding the legal requirements for my system. The reason for the 3-month delay? Vibe never submitted the required application for the meter collar -- a component that only my utility (SDGE) is authorized to install. They spent months blaming SDGE, but when I personally dug into the issue, I discovered: * SDGE does have a vendor support line * Vibe Solar never called it * Vibe never submitted the application for the collar in the first place In other words, the entire delay was caused by Vibe failing to do the most basic part of their job. Even worse, the salesperson had been promising reimbursement since July, acknowledging the issue and repeatedly saying he was "working on it." After MONTHS of this, today they finally came back with an offer of $250 -- a number so insulting it almost feels like a joke. That doesn't even cover one week of the extra bills their negligence caused. They offer $1,500 per referral to new customers, but when they are the ones who cause months of financial damage, they think $250 is "fair." It's unbelievable. Their message even tries to shift responsibility away from themselves, claiming they "could not have known" about the collar requirement -- which is ironic, because THEY are the supposed experts. Not me. They made the promises. They disconnected my functioning system. They failed to file the required paperwork. And then they left me paying quadruple electric bills for months. To be clear: They promised the system would run after installation They disconnected my old working solar They failed to submit paperwork They failed to follow up with SDGE They caused three months of massive electric bills They offered only $250 after months of excuses They have shown zero real accountability I cannot recommend Vibe Solar to anyone. Their communication, project management, and follow-through were consistently unreliable at every stage, and the financial impact on my household was real and significant. Our DWP bill kept going up and up. Then we installed a hot tub and our bill became absolutely ridiculous. We had looked into solar in the past but it didn't seem like the utilities played nice, so we never seriously pursued it. Jumping back in to investigate, we found that the federal credit was ending December 31, 2025 as part of the Big Beautiful Bill. Since this was August, the clock was ticking loudly. We had to act fast and find a company that could move swiftly. After searching and vetting multiple companies and settling on purchasing rather than leasing, we settled on Vibe Solar with Rick Vermeulen as our salesperson; we couldn't be happier. The 25-panel design went through multiple iterations and Rick patiently guided us through the process. Financing was also a big part of it and patience and thorough explanations were continued here as well. We needed a new roof as part of this project and so finding a firm that had a strong reputation for both roofing and solar was key. The roofing crew did a great job and were very detail oriented. Then the solar crew came and in one day had the entire system installed and tested. There was a bit of nail biting as it took some time for DWP to give us the go ahead to turn it all on but once they did, all looked to be functioning perfectly as shown in the Enlighten app. The best thing is, we were able to flip it on in early December, more than making the federal deadline. We oversized the system and are only a few months in, but the output seems to be aligning with expectations. We are hoping the federal credit gets processed smoothly through our tax return, so fingers crossed. Best decision I ever made for my house! Vibe Solar absolutely crushed it. My SCE bill used to be a nightmare every summer, but six years later I'm still basically at $0 most months (even running my swamp cooler non-stop for this desert cooling). When I searched everywhere fo the best components in Solar PV equipment, I was clear on what i thought best for my home. Having been a contractor for 50 yrs. I have a good idea of what is important in building products. I then searched Solar Contractors in my 100 mile radius for one that offered the best. Vibe solar used and installed every one of my choice. When I investigated Vibe Solar I was very impressed by the team, vehicles being organized and skill set of installers. I then got 2 other quotes, both were the "big boys" in the industry. One was much more $, and the sales guy worried me. The other qoute was for equipment that was inferior to my choices and were not accessable directly by phone nor accessable in person at the shop. I was promised a low electric bill(still paying the same) that solar credit can be applied to my loan(never was) and that I could transfer my loan easily if I sold my house. Now in the process of selling my house I am told they may not grant the approval to the buyer and I must pay around $20k just to consider if they want to transfer it or not. This has been the worst experience with a solar company. My solar was installed March 2025. After installation they were supposed to get interconnection or permission to operate (PTO) with my electric company, SCE. To this day, I still do not have PTO, my system is not generating any energy and I now have both my previous electric bill and now a monthly bill for my solar loan. Every time I inquired about the PTO I would get lies about SCE being behind on applications, then told they didn't know how to correctly fill out the application. After almost a year of back and forth, I have finally reached out to the CSLB (contractors state licensing board) who have now escalated it to the investigation department and I have also been in contact with a lawyer who is ready to litigate after CSLB does their investigation. I was given the owners number who I called and left messages with many times who refused to return my call. Vibe has the absolute worst customer service, gave me the runaround over and over and did not deliver what they promised. Do not use Vibe Solar. read more

Hey fellow solar and future solar owners, I just wanted to share my review with vibe solar. I'm a bit detailed and nerdy with numbers so please excuse me lol. I had solar installed in Sept19, and wanted to wait till summer to finally write this when these bills hit! Just as reference, I have appx a 2000sq ft home with my wife and kids home the majority of the time currently, and keep the house at about 76 degrees. Last year my sce June bill was 120 bucks, And I just received my June bill for this year, appx 32 dollars! 10 dollars in mandatory service charges which it all that I paid Edison this month., and 22 dollars charges in consumption charges. That's a 110 dollar savings!! Let me explain, cause I didn't fully understand until I was actually switched over to solar and billed. The 10 dollar monthly fee is a mandatory fee to stay connected to edison due every month. The generation/consumption charges I received in a nutshell is because I went over 218kWH. I produced 575 kWH from solar. I used a total of 790 kWh but solar covered 575 this particular month That's where the the 218kWH number came from. Now these charges are tracked monthly but due every 12 months Now Alan and I designed my system to be appx iirc 110% offset of my electrical usage. So when the cooler months come I will have excess kWH which will cover my extra usage this hotter months and zero out my 12 month usage charges. A tad confusing if your new to this but Alan Truex is the man at vibe Solar and great at explaining this! I will attach photos in the posts below! Initially I requested a quote for a Tesla solar roof. Vibe came out to my home and their salesman Rick instantly quoted me a BS ballpark number of 150,000$ for a 1500 sq. foot home without taking measurements or inspecting my attic space to see if I needed new wood sheathing. Of course I was astonished of the price because my buddy got his for 78,000$ on a bigger home. In conclusion, I declined the offer and he immediately gave me a quote from Vibe for a 70,000$.
