So a week and a half ago on 11/19/2020, I woke up in the morning to a knock on my door from a kind stranger alerting me that water was gushing down my roof from my solar panels for the pool! I immediately ran to the back to see a huge rush of water coming down in my backyard. Once we shut the water pump off, we contacted the company to alert them that we had an emergency and it needed to be fixed iimedietlybas this was unacceptable. Why is there this huge leak in a system that was installed in August of this year? Andrew, a salesman from the company contacted me and informed me that they ONLY do house calls on Fridays and that there were 10 people ahead of my issue so it wouldn't be fixed for a while. 1 of which, had a leak as bad as mine and they were still waiting to be seen. I asked what II was suppose to do in the meantime and was told to just shut off my pump till they could get to it. He told me he would call me back once he figured things out on when a technician would come to my home. The day went on and I didn't hear back so I wrote this review and then all of a sudden I got a call that Andrew was coming out to speak to me. I told him that it was already late so he should wait until tomorrow but he insisted he was coming over to turn off the water heater. He came over at 630pm, and showed up very agitated because he saw the yelp review and was upset that I had posted something when he said, "I'll call you back" and I didn't wait for him. He asked me to delete the review until the problem was fixed. I agreed in the meantime. He proceeded to turn the water heater off and then told me that the reason there was a leak was because we didn't turn off the heater for the winter so a piece had broken off because it got 30+ below in my area. (For reference, I checked the weather app for 10 days previous and it never got below 45 on the coldest days). No one ever told me that I would need to be turning off the heater completely at some point. When I had the panels installed, the company should have made me aware on how to maintain the product considering it cost over 8000$. Eventually when the technician was able to come out, he told me that the piece breaking had nothing to do with the temperate drop. He told me that the piece broke because of the pressure and he needed to actually place a bigger replacement on it. Luckily the technician fixed the problem for me and let me know what the actual issue was. Still ultimately very disappointed..

I just got my first electric bill and it was a credit of -$139.00 so I am thrilled that the solar is saving us money. John is great . I can call him anytime with questions and he was always available. They also put in solar pool heating which keeps my pool warm. We would definitely recommend them

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

I hired AWS Solar to install solar panels on my home In May 2026. They completed the job a few…read moreweeks later. They did a very good jod. I am pleased. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

The 4th year production shows improvement over the 3rd year as I kept the panels clean. However,…read moreit's still about 4.8% below the minimum guaranteed production (accounting 0.25% maximum annual panel degradation). It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

Buyers beware. If you're considering doing business with this company, I strongly recommend reading…read morethe contract very carefully and getting clarification on every single term before signing anything. I was presented with a contract involving a 25-year commitment, and after reviewing it, I had a long list of questions because I found information that appeared to be missing, unclear, or contradictory. These were not minor questions, they were important details that could affect us financially over the life of the agreement. I sent my questions directly to Levon Juni, Vice President of the company, expecting that someone in leadership would take the time to address them. His response was that he didn't have time to answer all of my questions. That response was extremely concerning to me. When you are asking a customer to commit to a 25-year agreement, I believe there should be transparency and enough time to explain the terms and address reasonable questions before expecting someone to sign. My advice to anyone considering this company: slow down, read everything, ask questions, and don't feel pressured to sign until you completely understand what you're agreeing to. If something in the contract is unclear or contradictory, get it explained in writing before moving forward. For me, the lack of clarity and the unwillingness to fully address my questions were major red flags. A 25-year commitment is a serious financial decision, and homeowners deserve clear answers before signing on the dotted line.

Absolutely excellent system with flawless performance. So for design and installation we give Vibe 5 stars and I would still give the new Vibe installation 5 stars still today. Richard Vermulien and Mike the Installer did top notch work. Well fall of 2025 we had some intense winds (we are in a very high wind area) and ONE of the 25 panels got a bit loose. It took a few weeks to get Mike out to do service but he added more clamps and UFO screws to hold the rogue panel down before that one rogue panel could complete it's escape. So 5 star installation AND 5 star service is what this review is all about. Vibe has been the total package. They gave us a wonderful system that has performed in extreme weather and when that extreme weather caused a panel to get loose, they came and clamped it back down at 0 cost. Would I buy from Vibe again? Yes, absolutely. You can see the video of our wind turbine furling in sustained 45mph winds with gusts to 60mph as well as a photo of some intense winds as well. The winds here are no joke (which is quite rather why we have the wind turbine in the first place). The roof is standing seam metal roof with clamps to hold the array down. Vibe delivered a perfect system and has taken amazing care of us. We generate 40kWh to 60kWh from solar alone on sunny days depending on season. The REC solar system has generated over 65MWh to date. The system has not yet paid for itself, but is saving us about $5,000 per year in electricity so it will within a few years.
