Hours posted on Yelp say 8:30 so when you walk at almost 8:00 and are told they closed at 7:30 next time we come in the cashier tells us the close in 15 minutes is extremely unwelcoming when we left at 7:45 you open sign in the window still turned on. Poor business practice read more

I went here recently, because a local was raving about it. And I was completely disgusted with how the food loooked on the buffet and how it tastes. I wouldn't recommend anyone under 65 to go there. read more

This was one of the best salad bars that I have been to in years. I found the food to be relatively fresh, and tasteful. The reason why I have it only three stars, is because of the lack of sanitation. Half of the dishes were poorly washed and still had food on both the plates and silverware. You are able to find clean dishes, you just might have to go through a few dishes first. So besides the lack of thorough dish washing, this souper salad was a good place to eat and had lots to choose from. read more

Our 1st experience was definitely a winning experience!!! Our Church provided a clergy appreciation gift card for us. What a treat indeed!!!

I really enjoy this place. While the service may be hit or miss, I have always seen fresh items on the salad bar. The only complaint I see is the soup area- gets kind of gross looking after its been sitting there all day. May need to change out containers periodically throughout the day to maintain cleanliness. They do have a good selection of hot items. Be sure to look for a coupon before going into the restaurant online. You'll save yourself a little bit! read more

Great place! I've eaten here twice now since I moved here. The salad bar is wonderful - very fresh and diverse ingredients. The soups are delicious; I've tried Mama Mia chicken, Tuscan tomato, vegetable beef, and Santa Fe chicken, and all were very tasty. The taco bar is very good. The staff is friendly and attentive, and with a senior discount the meal was so inexpensive I couldn't believe it. read more

Been going here for years. This is my wifes favorite place that meets her health diet requirements and what makes her happy makes me happy.

VERY UPSET! The food and service was great however we got coupons online for a discount that was valid until 3/13 and it was 3/11. Once waiting in the line to pay before entering, we were told that the boss had decided not to use that coupon anymore and they could give us a dollar off each adult. It was nice to have a compensation but not acceptable to falsely advertise. After having driven there and planned to eat on a certain budget then denied, I would definitely not recommend this place just because basically conned us into thinking one thing and delivered another, there are other buffet places I will be trying instead. read more

First off, exceptional staff all the way around. However, I found the food inferior to other Souper Salad locations I have visited in other cities. Probably would not eat here again even for salad. read more

I really enjoyed eating here with my family. My two year old ate free which was wonderful since there is a variety to chose from that she was able to pick and choose, and she ate plate after plate of finger foods, and pizza. The food was fresh and the staff was friendly. When they ran out of whip cream for the desert section, I let someone know and within seconds someone came out of the kitchen and refilled it. It was very enjoyable experience and we will be dinning here again. read more

Worst Souper Salad ever! Food is sub par, they do not accept the company promos, and half the staff are incompetent. I understand this is a franchise location, but if your not going to accept my corporate coupons do not display the corporate promotions information on every single table. The back of the staff does try their hardest to please. Which was the only breath of fresh air here. read more

This is definitely an enjoyable place for some healthier eating. The salad bar has an extensive selection and is well-maintained during the day. The soup selection is very good, and all are delightful. Even the unexpected items such as the potatoes or pizza are serviceable. Overall, you get a good selection for the price. The staff is friendly but could stand to be slightly more attentive. read more

This is a buffet-style soup and salad bar. The food is okay, but bring your own drinks! I am not kidding. When you pre-pay for the buffet, you order your drinks at the counter. I have been there twice lately and I was almost finished eating before they delivered my drink. If you bring a companion, bring an extra bottle of water for her/him. Also learn the Heimlech Maneuver in case you see a patron choking on food for lack of a drink. read more

Took my family of five boys and got out for under $40 tip included!!! $7.50 for adults, $5 for children 7-11, $3.50 for children 3-7 and children 2 and under are free which is a great deal because my 2 year old out ate us all. So many options for even my pickiest eaters. I had a wonderful fresh salad and if things were empty they were soon refilled. I had a baked potato that was small but perfectly cooked and super hot. My kids enjoyed the tacos and mac and cheese and of course the blueberry and gingerbread muffins. They went back for seconds and came home quite full and begging to go there again tomorrow. My husband is not really a salad lover but had soup (there were 5 different kinds), cornbread, potato, pizza and spaghetti. Really a wonderful option for a family. Beverages did cost extra but waters were free and the tea was very good. They have redecorated since I was last here and is so much nicer. Very clean, our waitress was exceptional and sweet. We got a lot for our money and were very pleased. Finish My Review read more

The food was good but the customer service was atrocious. I seriously wanted to "mom talk" the server and say "spit out your gum". It took over 10 minutes to get drinks, they were extremely slow to refill, and the server seriously said nothing except "what can I get you to drink?" The WHOLE time. No, "thanks" "can I get you anything else", NOTHING. She did hand me a card that says she appreciates tips. I am big on tipping, my sister is in the service industry, but this is the first time I resented it. Its a buffet! The only thing you are getting me is a drink, and you took 10 minutes to get it! Nonetheless, it says if you don't have cash the server will put it on your debit card for you. I think about not tipping (probably the 2nd time in my life) and so I time it. After 10 minutes of sitting there, with no drink and my debit card on the table, I get up to go. I still sort of feel bad about not tipping (those darn southern manners) so I hunt her down. It takes another 5 minutes to get cash. I gave her $1 and I'm done. read more

If your going for soup & salad- Go to Jason's deli. The chicken noodle soup was awful. How do you screw that up! The Italian dressing tasted off, & the ingredients weren't very fresh.. Disappointed. read more

There's no way to politely say this, but eating here was a great disappointment. There is no fresh in anything that is served, from a can or from a bag. The wait staff was much to busy talking amongst each other or goofing off in general to fill any part of the buffet much less people's drinks. TL;DR: bad food that costs way to much, stay far away. read more

This is usually a good place to stop but today we had multiple issues which was very disappointing. Had to wait to be helped at front as no one was there for several minutes. Then several items were empty or stale or old looking. Talked to a server to see if we could see a manager but non available at that time. Prices have gone up and food quality has gone down. Not happy with this visit. read more

Always delicious. The service here is always very attentive and friendly which you don't find much at buffets. Great selection and always fresh. Love this place. read more

haven't been here in a long time a ,new owner/manager?, greeted us very friendly as we walked in. The place was clean. You pay then eat. The salad bar was fresh the premade apple walnut salad is delicious. Also a wierd take on alfreado with corn in it was surprisingly good. Our waitress was friendly and on the ball. The salad/soups were good and the build your own strawberry shortcakes and free icecream top it all off. read more

Great service and friendly! I have been here several times and enjoyed each of my visits. Clean, neat and well organized dining room.

Screw the soup or salad, it's all about the pizza, tacos and soft serve ice cream! Don't get me wrong the soup and salad are good but I tend to hit up this "healthy" eatery for its not so healthy options! read more

2 stars is pretty accurate. It's a great concept and they have a few other options to consider. However the freshness of the options and choices could use some extra help. Just because you add some seasoning to something doesn't make it better or great. Check your shaker and use better ingredients. read more

People were very friendly, and the soup was delicious. Most of all the salad bar was huge. I consider this place to be like a buffet for appetizers from The Olive Garden. read more

There was hair in the food serving stations. The food was of low quality. It was not worth the price I paid. Don't eat here the salad dressing tastes like shit. Don't come here. I will never go back ever read more

I would not recommend this place at all. The salad bar was ok, a lot of variety but the hot bar was a complete mess. I had to keep asking my server if they can refill the bread and the soups multiple times. What's the point in getting a baked potato if all the topping are gonna be empty. There are plenty of restaurants in Lubbock that you can get a awesome salad and extras for that price. My family and I will not be returning. Our visit was on 2/22/2019 at lunch time! read more

It's Soup or Soup here, guys. The only thing good besides the soup was the ice cream. We bought our meals and proceeded to get our food and when we tried to sit down there were no tables available... We were halfway through dessert before our waitress even introduced herself and asked what we were drinking. The salad was soggy, the dressing was questionable, the bacon was fake. We also witnessed a child drop two containers of spoons on the floor, and put them back for people to use; all while no one said anything. Yuck, and I'm still hungry, what a waste of $16 bucks. read more

This is my first time here and I love it!! Its ingenious!! Lol OK so maybe that's taking it too far....mayB. The people are so nice and quick to serve. I never ran out of sweet tea( side note Sweet tea here is really good and that in its self is hard to find) our plates were cleared away as soon as we were finished w them and we even came during lunch hr! I will definitely be coming here regularly. Its clean and the soups r hot and really tasty! read more

My review is for my experience today. While eating with my granddaughter there was a couple with a service dog. They were leaving and the service dog was attacked by a dog that jumped out of its pickup. The couple brought the dog in and the soupersalad staff took care of the distraught woman and her service dog. The guy took off with his dog before a license plate could be wrote down. Thankfully the dog was alright and I want to commend the staff for stepping up. read more

This is about the poorest Soup & Salad location I've tried. They don't even have potato salad on the buffet. Over-priced for the quality and selection. read more

I love their soups and salads! The food has always been fresh, excellent quality, and the soups are my favorite in town. They have a Creamy Lemon Chicken soup that I would like to buy buckets of for home. Their menu does rotate, but it is always up-to-date on the website. Staff is always friendly and readily available. GREAT place! read more

One of the few Souper Salads still remaining, this is the best one I've been to. The owner is incredibly friendly and conscientious. The evening/weekend manager is too. Every once in awhile they get overwhelmed by the crowds and the servers are hit and miss, but if you like a good salad bar it's hard to beat Souper Salad. I hope you like Christian music, because that's all they play. read more

I have been coming to this location for years and love it !!! I have the option of grabbing something healthy and quick for lunch or dinner. Very friendly staff and tasty food !! read more

Went with my family on a Saturday it was awful. Tables full of dirty plates, and they were out of everything but the salads . I even ordered chicken that took 15 min and it was burnt. I usually love this place so I came back on Tuesday and when I spoke to the manager about the service on Saturday he merely said "we had a lot going on".that really made me feel unsure of how this trip would be. By the way everything was great .I recommend going weekdays at 11am. read more

We walked in and had to wait for someone to come to the front to take our money, after about 7 minutes some unpleasant young lady came to the front. Then we went to get our plates and after searching for a clean plate in the stack of 50 + plates we found a couple. That was the 2nd sign that we should have walked out. The salad bar was ok, definitely nothing special. The plates by the pizza were the same as the salad bar plates, multiple dirty, dirty plates. We sat down to eat and in my salad was a black thread, my husband also found a white string in his salad. Hot food awful!!!! The hostess was standing around with a drink, talking to servers. Poorly managed establishment! read more

I went in with friends for lunch. The cashier was friendly. The salad was great. I didn't try the pizza or soup. It was very busy at the time we went. Our waitress came once to bring water for us. But I had to go find her to refill the water. She wasn't very attentive. I wouldn't say they were all like that because the waitress a few tables away was seen more often. read more

On Sunday, 09/18/16, my wife, daughter and I ate at the Souper Salads in Lubbock, TX. The moment we entered the restaurant I could tell this place was well ran. The atmosphere was delightful. The place was clean and the restrooms were not only clean but smelled clean. The food and service was great. We live in New Braunfels, Tx. We have to travel to either Austin or San Antonio to eat at a Souper Salads. There are not many left since they are closing stores. Maybe if they operated more like the Lubbock store they could stay in business! read more
