Nice selection of different foods. Cooked well and delicious. Very friendly staff with a clean dinning area. I can't think of a time I have been here and someone wasn't mopping the floors. read more

We've eaten here for lunch for years, thought we would try breakfast. We ordered 2 Florentine Quiche, 2 Galette's and 2 coffees. Quiche was adequate, could have been warmer. The Galette was a cold hard potato cake, don't give it a fancy name when it's not fancy! Very disappointed, I would bet my life both items came frozen from Sysco. I only gave 3 stars because we have never had a bad experience before. We will stick to lunch here for $37.61 before tip. read more

This location is becoming a new favorite. I like going here for a light lunch or coffee and dessert. The service is usually friendly and fast. The restaurant is kept clean. The ingredients seem fresh. I have learned that I don't like the sandwiches very much, but I really enjoy the soups, salads, and desserts. read more

I placed an online order December 19th for pecan tarts and scheduled a pickup December 24th at 10:15. They called to tell me that they sold out. They had plenty of time to prepare the order but instead dropped the ball. I was taking these to a Christmas party for family and friends. I was told they would refund my money like they were doing me a favor. Maybe you need to call Stella's and talk to Billy, Will, and Jeff to consult on how to run a restaurant and catering business. They saved me because they know what they are doing. I still have no refund. Tony D. Brown read more

Family went for lunch one day, around 11am and ordered the Florentine quiche. Very disappointed because even though it was early in the day and rush had not begun, the quiche was not hot and was rubbery. Like it had been under warmer too long. I love this place. Have eaten at La Madeleine for well over 30 years, way before they came to Lubbock, but just very disappointed in quality of food nowadays. One good point is that their Almond Croissants never disappoint! Always so good!! read more

Sadly the last few times we've ate here have been less than satisfactory. I ordered the French onion soup and received a crouton and few pieces of shredded cheese with burned soup in our delivery. This used to be one of our favorite lunch spots but the quality has declined rapidly. read more

Excellent service. Such kind staff. We come here once a week and love it. My daughters favorite.

La Madeleine is my ultimate go to pick for lunch. The good news is I finally tried their salmon and it's delicious. The bad news is they switched to Pepsi and the only drink I would remotely drink is Dr. Pepper which is already out of order. I still plan on eating their delicious food but maybe not as often now. read more

I ordered through Amazon Grubhub. The bread was horrible (like dry thick sourdough, basically eating thick flour). The salad had rotten pieces in it and was very small (like a side salad), though I was charged $16 bucks for that. If you order from here, go into the restaurant to make sure they serve you fresh food and decent sized portions. read more

Very disappointed-hours of operation open until 9:00 pm. Arrived at 7:15 pm and was told we would have to wait 30 for chicken friand.

Four of us gathered for Easter lunch at la Madeleine. It was quiet yet busy and the food was wonderful from brunch to lunch and desserts. Friendly, courteous staff welcomed us. read more

Something out of the ordinary. Get a snack or get a meal. I've never been disappointed. It's a nice atmosphere, music isn't over powering. Decor is tasteful and fits with type of food. The only problem is the pastries.... I always want one of each!!! We come here from Amarillo to eat! It's our Balentine brunch tradition. read more

Not sure what has happened but the quality has definitely declined. I usually order the trio with salad, quiche and soup. The last few times the quiche was not fully cooked, the salad was swimming in dressing and the soup was cold. The specialty coffee machine has been broken for months. Where is the owner? When a place says they stay open until 9, they shouldn't close things down before then. As a long time waitress growing up, it would have been great to walk out the door when closing time hit- but that is when we stopped serving- not before- and then we could finish our close out. What's with these places stopping service before closing time? Put different hours in your door, please if you are going to close early. The food tonight was pretty good tonight with crisp green beans, tender chicken and hot and delicious rice pilaf. The restaurant said they were out of butter for the bread which was little odd they couldn't round any up from the kitchen in a bakery and restaurant, but OK- it was healthier without it. However, I was drinking iced tea in a to-go cup to grab some extra on the way out. They close at 9 and as we arrived at 8:15 we didn't dawdle or take our time and were ready to leave at 8:45- not 8:50, 8:55 or 9- and regardless, if they didn't close until 9 and we were still in the restaurant drinking tea - why is it they felt compelled to pick up the only tea in the place and throw it out without saying anything to us?? I have had this happen before at another place and find it incredibly rude. When I asked if they still had the tea- the answer wasn't I'm sorry even, but no- we already threw that out. Alrighty then - if you all are so worried about closing before closing time that you can't even offer a refill of tea to your customers who are drinking tea, so you can get those containers to the dishwasher, you don't have my business anymore- and I am a frequent visitor. Show some kind of care for your customers- we even tipped you before we had our meal- and I don't even know why since all you did was bring our plates and never check on us again- and couldn't be bothered to ask us for a refill before you threw out our drinks. Shame on you all! read more

Good food and bakery was delicious! We had the tomato soup. Macaroons and the brownie.

Food is always good. Never any problems with quality. Issue is always delivery. Last order half the meal was left at restaurant (door dashers fault probably). The two orders before that there was at least one item left out ( not sore dashers fault). We will definitely continue to eat here but we will either pick it up (and check order) ourselves or eat in. We door dash a lot it it just seems for some reason this restaurant and door dash don't work together well. read more

I loved this place the first two times I had it. Me and my boyfriend would get this place at least once a week, and every time was disappointing. Whether it's pick up or delivery something always goes wrong. A couple good employees but most of the time I feel like I'm annoying the workers when I need help. My favorite was the turkey and Brie sandwich, but the last 4 times I've ordered it it's been legit a toasted baguette (lucky if it's not burnt) and turkey. If I get lucky I'd get a sliver of Brie. No goat cheese either, which is what this sandwich comes with!! Every order has something missing, literally!! EVERY TIME WE'VE ORDERED we have had at least one item missing. We've been hopeful of change but see it's only getting worse. Food is lazily put together, don't waste your money. Tonight was the last straw. I just really WANTED TO ENJOY A SIMPLE MEAL. read more

I normally would highly recommend this place as it's such a great spot with very fresh ingredients and always a great experience.. But today I ordered my meal online to pick up. I ordered the Pesto Pasta with shrimp, tomato soup, and the lemon blueberry danish. The pesto pasta was missing ingredients and just looked like it was thrown together. It literally looked like a microwave meal I can buy at the grocery store.. This is NOT how it would be served if I ordered and ate the the restaurant so I don't understand why picking up the same order would be any different.. The soup and danish were great but I'm so disappointed with my main dish. read more

Nasty dirty! Staff standing around very disinterested. No hello, no how are you, no thank you, items out of stock... Literally every table top was dirty. Every one. 2 stars because the sandwich I ordered that the side I wanted was out of stock was good. It was not busy at all. Maybe everyone was just having a bad day, or Covid, or the supply chain, or global warming... I don't know. read more

Second time here--I was super impressed the first time with a seasonal turkey and cranberry sandwich (the cranberry mayo was more savory than sweet, and it worked really, really well with the smokey turkey). Second time I got a French dip sandwich with the cream of mushroom soup. The soup is fantastic, and I will be craving it later--creamy, earthy, and a bit salty. The French dip was good, not the best: the au jus was a little watery, and I think that's what kept everything from being stellar. Still, the ambiance is nice (rustic French country) if you can deal with the hard wooden chairs, and they offer free reliable internet here, so I can get some work done when I come here. La Madeleine is certainly a preferable option to what Panera has become, and I will be back, no question! If you just come for the pastries, I'd give it a five star. They have some really, really good desserts. Probably the best you're going to get in Lubbock. The bakeries in Lubbock are--let's face it--lackluster. This is a good option if you want a buttery croissant or something like that. They also have a nice selection of tarts and cakes. read more

I had the salad sampler...it was perfect for this 100+ degree day! The food is fresh. The staff is very helpful. Sonia was great!! I like they have bread you can have. Always a great place! They have breakfast available all day and the coffee is incredible. The French menu selections are incredible. But, a visit is not really complete without stopping by the pastry counter. I have never had a dessert here that wasn't outstanding. Stopped into tonight for coffee and dessert (had pumpkin pie) and learned they now serve Mimosas. That's pretty cool and made a great place even better. read more

This is my go to breakfast/brunch spot. They have a great breakfast/brunch menu that any group can be happy with. Their wine selection is basic, but good. My only complaint would be the service. I came to this place a couple days ago and it has some delicious food and desserts, I was a little skeptical at first about a French restaurant in Lubbock. Not skeptical anymore, our server Robert Garcia was the best he had such an amazing attitude and was so helpful and patient. The only thing that was a little off was the manager, she seemed a little mean to her employees. But again delicious food and desserts. 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more

just now This weekend I had had the stomach flu and finally got over it I wanted potato soup. I came to La Madeline for my soup and a drink. Which was delicious . However, as I was going to get a refill on my drink I was passing one of the Managers, Sonya she was coming towards me with trays in both hands I was already in the door way, trying to get by when she started squeezing by, she never said excuse me, pardon me, or anything. I almost fell trying to get out of her way. Management is supposed to be kind , not rude. And she by-passed the table she was serving. I could have understand if they had been busy but we came by after 1:00 pm Sunday. The Sunday rush had already cleared out. read more
