Classic Turkey sandwich with a "lettuce wrap" (was a mess, just picked off the two pieces of turkey and was done)
    Hillary B.

This place gets 4 stars for freshness, but it definitely lacks some. For a sandwich shop, they offer no gluten free options, which is really disappointing. Also, the "lettuce wrap" that they offer is not a wrap at all (check out the picture- that was $5 by the way). The side salad was super fresh, so that was a plus. The fruit cup was good, but definitely lacked the freshness that the salad had. Overall, I don't know if I would return being that I need gluten-free and it's pricey for what you receive.

It hurts my heart that this place only has 3 stars right now! I love love love love this place. Best sandwiches in Lubbock for sure! It has a very fun small town feel on the inside. There are lots of cute jams, gifts, and country things sprinkled throughout the restaurant. The menu is huge, with lots of amazing options, making it very hard to choose. My husband gets something different every time and loves it. What do I do? Every time: Croissant, oven roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, provolone, and last but not least, JALAPENO RANCH! They toast the sandwich perfectly every visit. It never fails. I think they are starting to recognize me from my order. I don't love sweets, but I hear people rave about their home made treats. Another plus is the fact that they have meals to go for singles or families and Raider meats, steaks from the agricultural department on Texas Tech Campus.

As you may notice from most of reviews I give out a lot of 5 stars however this is due to the fact that I mainly rate establishments that are worth it. I want people to know where to find good quality places not just mediocre 3 star joints. This is why I am giving this restaurant a 5 star rating. The building itself has a great country lifestyle feel to it which I enjoyed. I ordered a Green Chile Pork Melt sandwich and was a little worried when I ordered it, due to the fact that I live in New Mexico. I was pleasantly surprised as this sandwich had just the right amount of chile on it. Overall I would say I was pleased with the price for a sandwich, bag of chips, and a drink. I will definitely be back next time I am in town to try more.

The Reuben was a little small but made up for it with great meat and flavors. And you can't beat the ham sandwich.

Really amazing food and gift selection. My go-to for a family/friend gift that offers an amazing savory feel-good selection.

Prices could be better. The sandwiches we ordered were great tasting. Service needs to be improved. Expect a wait on your sandwich.

The fresh food and warm atmosphere is trumped by the poorly trained staff and sub-par customer service.

The space itself is adorable--think industrial loft vibes with exposed brick, warm wood accents, and that cozy, slightly artsy feel you get from an old brick building repurposed just right. It's the kind of place that feels calm and intimate, especially tucked into a quieter downtown pocket that gives off small-city charm in the best way. I ordered a loose-leaf green tea (I won't even attempt to pronounce the name), brewed French-press style, and it was so good--earthy, smooth, and surprisingly reminiscent of crispy rice mixed with green tea. Warm, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. My husband went with an Americano, which was solid and well-balanced. They do offer food and small bites, but what really stood out was how community-forward the space feels. There's local artwork displayed throughout the café, all available for purchase, along with curated retail items like tallow products, cool tees, and other thoughtful little finds you don't usually see in a coffee shop. Between the cozy industrial atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong support of local artists and makers, Nashville Cafe feels less like a quick coffee stop and more like a place you actually want to linger. A really sweet spot downtown--quiet, creative, and full of character.

I preferred the iced vanilla latte a lot more because it had better balance of sweet and coffee. The mocha was fine but just didn't have a lot of flavor. I studied for a while and it was a good environment! Parking is a little odd, there's street parking located around the place.

They have a few tables inside and outside, we sat inside. There was one individual working for orders and they were a delight. Very friendly and patient as we weren't sure what to get. Coffee was tasty, and we went with the southwestern omelet, French toast, 1 blueberry pancake and breakfast plate with ham. Highly recommended to order the hash browns well done (1 plate and 1 did not) and wished I had done the well done ones. Next time. The food was great and everything came out hot. As they are a make to order kitchen, patience is key for greatness. We also ordered a few of the fried pies to go....so the verdict is still out on those. I doubt they won't be delicious based on the meal. Great place to checkout if in the area.

You have to go behind the counter and into the kitchen where the food is being prepared. I didn't mind because that's what everyone else was doing. I liked walking past the tables and seeing all the dishes other people got. The food looked really good, especially the blueberry pancakes. My granddaughter got French toast, one egg and sausage. The rest of us got breakfast burritos. I got a side of ham for my dog, Baxter. Our burritos were delicious and huge. Baxter liked his large serving of ham and was disappointed when he finished. I had a bite of ham and I can affirm it was delicious. My only complaint about the menu is that they don't offer a choice of bread with the breakfasts. The traditional egg and meat and omelette breakfasts all come with toast. You can get pancakes or biscuits but that's in a different section. You can always order something from the biscuit or pancake section and add a side of eggs and or meat. This is a unique restaurant and well worth checking out.
