I usually don't write reviews, but I have made several orders at two different firehouse subs in Lubbock, and it does not matter which one it is, but they will always forget something on my mobile orders. Its usually something harmless like an extra pickle or the olives and because I didn't pay extra for it, I just kind of let it slide. But this last time I ordered a bottle of hot sauces on top of my order, and again, they forgot the extra pickles and the $8 bottle of hot sauce I paid for. I even double checked and asked the person there if everything was in it and she said yes. But everything was not. I went back in after checking and they gave me my extra pickles and the bottle of hot sauce after I explained what happened. Their service was always good, but I would always check your order after leaving any of the locations in this town. They tend to be negligent when it comes to making sure everything is as ordered. read more

I normally try to avoid "chain places" when traveling. One exception to that is Firehouse Subs....as they really do a great job with consistently nailing it. This one is no different. In fact, as I pulled into the parking lot, the place lived up to it's name, literally. Lubbock Fire Department had just picked up their order, yes, driving the fire truck. Been to a lot of Firehouse Subs...never saw actual firefighters picking up/eating there. NICE! Top that off, one of Lubbock's Finest showed up for his lunch too, so police and fire departments eat here. Gotta be good right? Ordered a medium Pepperoni Meatball sub on white. My only "issue" was they didn't wrap the sandwich in their paper inside the to to container. The sandwich itself was awesome. Service matched that and the rest of the staff was very quick and friendly. If/when I'm back in the area, definitely another stop in! Parking was easy in their lot. Could be tight if they are busy, as well as the business behind them. read more

Ordered a make your own with deli mustard, pepper Jack cheese, olive, cucumber, pickle, sautéed onions and peppers, and banana peppers. I think I just got a sandwich with olives and pickle? Light sprinkle of onion and a weird tiny blob in one spot of cheese that tasted like Swiss cheese. No mustard, no banana pepper. Had a good experience at another firehouse in Lubbock so if I do go back it would be to the other location. read more

I was feeling a little adventurous today and tried something new. My usual is the hook and ladder (I think it's the #1) and it's always been good but something was telling me to venture out a little bit. After some scouring the menu I decided on the meatball sandwich on wheat bread. HOLY COW! The sandwich was great and I will definitely order it again in the near future. The sandwich, chips, and a large drink put me back $8.50 so it's not terribly expensive. The inside was pretty crowded but we didn't wait more than a minute or two for our food to be brought to us. The outside tables were about 1/2 full we were leaving and there was a constant stream of people getting food to go. I know it shouldn't bother me, but the only thing I dislike about Firehouse is the way every person behind the counter yells 'Welcome to Firehouse' every time the door opens. The staff was very friendly when trying to decide on what to order but hearing 'Welcome to Firehouse' every 30 seconds the whole time you're eating gets old really quick. I'm ok if a person behind the counter does the head nod and says 'hey man, how's it going' but when seven people yell at me it comes across as being shallow and disingenuous. I'll definitely head outside next time I'm here in order to avoid the nuisance. read more

I travel all the time. When I was driving to the Holiday Inn Express in Lubbock this afternoon, I was so excited to see a Firehouse Sub shop so close. It made my afternoon after my drive in. Dinner is served!!! This was by far the WORST sandwich I ever had a Firehouse and ranks upon the worst sandwiches ever. I came in around 7. I love the Italian with no mustard or mayo. The bread was wheat. From the first bite, this was as dry as any sandwich ever. It consisted of old wheat bread, tons and tons of lettuce and some meat. The meat didn't taste like what normally comes on the Italian. I asked for extra cheese and maybe it was there, but I couldn't taste it. I tasted lettuce and stale bread. I ended up picking off stuff from the stale bread. You couldn't eat it. There was zero dressing on the sandwich making is Sahara Desert dry. I try to give the benefit of the doubt in these Covid times. But there were 4 people behind the counter so it wasn't due to understaffing. You guys better get your act together. You can't represent Firehouse serving sandwiches like I got. For your records my order number was 20073. read more

Maybe because I don't live in Lubbock and we have serious sandwiches in DC?!? It's good. But, I'm not sure it was a 4- or 5-star $10 lunch. I got the Italian, double meat on a wheat bun. I couldn't figure out what was sweet on the sandwich. (It was grossing me out). Turns out one of the meats was sweet and no hot peppers on the Italian. Really? Unsweetened ice tea was good. Service was good. Variety of hot sauce was good. The soda fountain machine was mind-boggling (is this a TX thing?) I asked to get people's drinks just to play with the machine (I don't really drink soda - that shit will kill you). I'd go back, but I wouldn't go out of the way. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but after the third trip to this place I can't go any longer. The wait is WAY too long to get a simple sub. The quality is below average and the last sub I got was drenched in mayo and was so sloppy, it took maybe ten napkins. I was not good anyway. The cleanliness was pretty good and the staff was friendly but the cashier messed up our order in two different ways. Three times is enough for me. Good bye and back to Subway. read more

Great sandwich!! Stopped in on our way home to Amarillo and got 4 sandwiches, and they were great!! Both of our kids ate there whole meal(witch never happens) and my wife enjoyed here(she hates most sandwich shops.) I would recommend this place to any one looking for a good sandwich at a great price. There was even a Tech game going on across the street and the staff was very nice to stop watching and help us. If you're craving s meatball sub, this is the place to go. Their meatballs fill up the whole sandwich. They're tasty and moist. The Provolone is perfectly melted. Go with their suggestion of sweet and spicy, which gives it a nice twist. The bread if fresh and crispy. Their cherry limeade is very refreshing. And don't forget their homemade cookies. read more

The sandwiches are good but it's before 11am and I'm the only customer, yes they have a catering order but I honestly felt like it took way too long to make my order. Been here many times and usually get the meatball sandwich. Yum. Other things I have tried are all good. I like the cookies over chips. Don't like the Coke machine. All flavors are off. The tea is good. Staff are always friendly. FS gives a lot of money to fire departments. Pretty cool. Sometimes you leave smelling like food as the exhaust seems a little weak. read more

Customer service was, hands down, the absolute best! I believe it was the manager who helped with my order. I placed an online and order and paid for it prior, walked in ten minutes later, with a packed house, picked up my two subs and had the manger greet me very pleasantly and even opened the door for me since my hands were full!
