While the food here is great the service is almost always terrible. During our visit today while two of the girls working left to "go drink" Raylee was the only worker actually doing her job. The older woman that works at the front, has got to be one of the more unpleasant people I have been around! Everytime I have been in there she is very short and makes you feel very unwelcome! I called just to let whoever needed to know that my girlfriend and I got food poisoning yesterday, and I was hung up on. It happens! I really wasn't mad at all. I just wanted to let somebody know so that nobody else got sick. I didn't yell or act like a jerk--I was actually laughing because I thought it was kind of funny and I didn't want some poor service worker to think I was calling to yell or blame them for something they can't control. The food was solid you can never go wrong with a good schlotzskys sandwich, I got the #1 meal which was great. The price was a bit much at around 15 dollars after tax that's my only complaint and you get a tiny little bag of chips so I just wouldn't recommend turning it into a meal. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. The Cinnabon ordered was given stone cold, so I asked if it could be warmed. The disgruntled, clearly annoyed employee proceeded to drop the Cinnabon into the microwave and kick the door closed with his foot. When our sandwiches arrived, one of the two had the clipping of a plastic package inside of it. Terrible service, and a shame to the standard I expected based on other Schlotzsky's that I've been to. Avoid this establishment. If you're dying for a Schlotzsky's sandwich, take the time to drive across town to avoid this one. It's not worth it. read more

I was introduced to this store when I was at Covenant. And yes a lot of people you see there are from Covenant. This place is a great sandwich store, the only thing I don't like is, that they don't have sandwiches early in the morning. So when you want too grab one for later the morning you won't find them there. Over all this place is great to have a sandwich for lunch or dinner. read more

Ever since they renovated, and expanded the dining area six fold, I eat lunch here once a week or so. The menu is pretty basic consisting mostly of various sandwiches with a couple pizzas sprinkled in the mix. They usually have two or three specials on new sandwiches posted inside the door and I usually try one of the new ones. Its hard to mess up a sandwich and Schlotzsky's is always good. Parking here can be terrible since it is in the hospital district and sometimes the lone can stretch to the door. I don't have any tips on the parking but the line usually moves pretty quick. read more

The others in Lubbock, like this one, the franchise owner cheats on meat portions. I am not sure how this franchise owner is allowed to continue to drive this brand into the ground. read more

I grew up in DFW and absolutely LOVE Schlotzsky's. Every location I've been to in DFW has been excellent. That's not to say they get the order right every single time or the food is always perfect, but my experiences at each different location I've been to there have been overall fantastic. But then there's this Schlotzsky's in Lubbock, which is a different story entirely. I've had lunch there I believe 5 times now, spaced out over a period of a year---and that's only because I keep returning and hoping my experience will be better. But it never is. I have no complaints about the food. I always order The Original and I'm always satisfied with what I get. Unfortunately, my problem is with the staff. I haven't been to an establishment in my life where the employees look as miserable as they do here. The ladies who take my order never smile---not to me or anyone else I've seen; they seem a bit impatient, particularly with customization; and they sometimes deliberately and blatantly ignore requests (for instance, the lady just looked at me and said "what else?" after I politely asked for extra mustard on the sandwich, without even adding it to the order; sure enough, I didn't get it). Even the employees who aren't rude just seem miserable. The lady who has brought me my order each time is honestly very nice---but she's seemed unhappy there as well. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is oppressively miserable, which makes it an unpleasant ordering and dining experience. I'm very, very easily walking distance from where I attend school on the far southwestern part of the Tech campus, and more days than not, I leave to get lunch and study at a restaurant for a few hours. As much as I love Schlotzsky's and as much as I crave it sometimes, I almost never go there, because I can almost never talk myself into voluntarily walking into a place where I know I'm going to have an unpleasant experience, even if the food is delicious. I don't know what is going on with this location, but I sincerely hope the morale changes there---not only for the customers' sake, but for the employees. I am a huge fan. Born in Austin in 1969. Schlotsky's has always been a family tradition. Never had a bad experience or a bad sandwich until today at the 19th location in Lubbock. The person who took my order today was incredibly rude and dismissive. The sandwich (medium original, should be very easy) was sub par at best. Both employees I interacted with acted as if I was an inconvenience. Will never go back there and am guessing this location will close soon as it should. Beyond disappointed. read more

While I have always enjoyed Schlotzsky's, I have to score them down due to a bad customer service experience. I ordered online, but when I arrived, the staff was unaware of my order. It was on a printer on the office. I observed the staff having a food fight in the kitchen. When my sandwiches were done, one was the wrong size, and an employee argued with me and even tried to convince me that's not what I ordered, despite my receipt and order confirmation showing I was correct. They did correct the order by giving me a second sandwich of the smaller size, but it was still an unnecessary hassle. Overall, I like and recommend the food. The sandwiches are decent. The price is fair. The chips are incredible. The soup is good. The Cinnabons are delicious. There is just a significant drop-off in service for the past couple of years. read more

The people are extremely rude and both of our pizzas came out cold and soggy. Never smile, never say thanks, never greet you, don't apologize when they make mistakes, which they do, they all must HATE their jobs. The most unhappy people. It must be a requirement to work here. Usually love this place. Today, not so much. Waited in line for almost 10 minutes, counter people not in much of a hurry. When my order arrived, it was wrong. Not the sandwich I ordered at all. My usual is the Original, never order anything different, never. I was brought a Turkey. I'm sure it's delicious but I wanted the Original. Told the server who brought my order that it was wrong, no reply. Just turned and walked away, delivered another order to the table next to me.
