This is the first time I have been to this Schlotzsky's. Every person was so very nice and the place was one of the cleanest restaurants in town. I am very impressed and will most likely come back frequently. read more

The food was great The service was the best I've ever had! It wasn't packed but the inside was welcoming read more

While the food here is great the service is almost always terrible. During our visit today while two of the girls working left to "go drink" Raylee was the only worker actually doing her job. If this business had more workers like her I guarantee there would be nothing but 5 star reviews. read more

I wish I could give it a zero star the food was bland no flavor in the sandwich, there was so much ham in the deluxe and only a pinch of lettuce and one tomato it tastes like 3 day old ham and turkey everything was disgusting we literally threw the food back out on the plate so nasty, don't eat here a waste of money! read more

The older woman that works at the front, has got to be one of the more unpleasant people I have been around! Everytime I have been in there she is very short and makes you feel very unwelcome! On the contrary the guy that brings out the food is so happy everytime I have been in there, always has a smile on his face! I'm glad at least he seems to like his job and makes sure the customers are greeted nicely and taken care of! read more

I called just to let whoever needed to know that my girlfriend and I got food poisoning yesterday, and I was hung up on. It happens! I really wasn't mad at all. I just wanted to let somebody know so that nobody else got sick. I didn't yell or act like a jerk--I was actually laughing because I thought it was kind of funny and I didn't want some poor service worker to think I was calling to yell or blame them for something they can't control. Just a quick PSA for anybody looking for a schlotzky's: eat at the other one in town. This one doesn't give a damn about your health. read more

The food was solid you can never go wrong with a good schlotzskys sandwich, I got the #1 meal which was great. The price was a bit much at around 15 dollars after tax that's my only complaint and you get a tiny little bag of chips so I just wouldn't recommend turning it into a meal. The service was fast nice guy at the front. The ambiance of the restaurant was decent but it's not really a eat in store more of a takeout store, cause it's pretty small nothing special. read more

Food was decent for the price. I don't mind going if other people want to go, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. Service was not the greatest and seating tends to be difficult for groups over 4. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. Horribly rude staff and always get my order wrong. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. The Cinnabon ordered was given stone cold, so I asked if it could be warmed. The disgruntled, clearly annoyed employee proceeded to drop the Cinnabon into the microwave and kick the door closed with his foot. When our sandwiches arrived, one of the two had the clipping of a plastic package inside of it. Terrible service, and a shame to the standard I expected based on other Schlotzsky's that I've been to. Avoid this establishment. If you're dying for a Schlotzsky's sandwich, take the time to drive across town to avoid this one. It's not worth it. read more

I was introduced to this store when I was at Covenant. And yes a lot of people you see there are from Covenant. This place is a great sandwich store, the only thing I don't like is, that they don't have sandwiches early in the morning. So when you want too grab one for later the morning you won't find them there. Over all this place is great to have a sandwich for lunch or dinner. read more

Schlotzsky's - the outside of a restaurant - Sandwiches Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

See all

Ever since they renovated, and expanded the dining area six fold, I eat lunch here once a week or so. The menu is pretty basic consisting mostly of various sandwiches with a couple pizzas sprinkled in the mix. They usually have two or three specials on new sandwiches posted inside the door and I usually try one of the new ones. Its hard to mess up a sandwich and Schlotzsky's is always good. Parking here can be terrible since it is in the hospital district and sometimes the lone can stretch to the door. I don't have any tips on the parking but the line usually moves pretty quick. read more

Schlotzsky's - Sandwiches Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

The Schlotzskys in Lubbock are owned by two franchises. The one on 82nd and just west of Milwaukee Ave is like the ones downstate. Excellent service, correct portions of meat on the sandwiches. The others in Lubbock, like this one, the franchise owner cheats on meat portions. I am not sure how this franchise owner is allowed to continue to drive this brand into the ground. read more

I went because it was the only thing on the way. I asked the man at the register how big or good their salads were. He said "pretty big" so I decided to buy it for $9. What I got was a joke. All iceberg lettuce and almost no chicken. Please avoid this place. It's not good at all! read more

They call this Pastrami? Nasty, Nasty and more Nasty . Meat was cut thick and leather like , the roll I cant even begain to describe

Great food and fast service, friendly staff and pretty good size portions. I grew up with Schlotzsky's then moved away found one where I live but it closed. So glad this is still here...home is where Schlotzsky's is at read more

I grew up in DFW and absolutely LOVE Schlotzsky's. Every location I've been to in DFW has been excellent. That's not to say they get the order right every single time or the food is always perfect, but my experiences at each different location I've been to there have been overall fantastic. But then there's this Schlotzsky's in Lubbock, which is a different story entirely. I've had lunch there I believe 5 times now, spaced out over a period of a year---and that's only because I keep returning and hoping my experience will be better. But it never is. I have no complaints about the food. I always order The Original and I'm always satisfied with what I get. Unfortunately, my problem is with the staff. I haven't been to an establishment in my life where the employees look as miserable as they do here. The ladies who take my order never smile---not to me or anyone else I've seen; they seem a bit impatient, particularly with customization; and they sometimes deliberately and blatantly ignore requests (for instance, the lady just looked at me and said "what else?" after I politely asked for extra mustard on the sandwich, without even adding it to the order; sure enough, I didn't get it). Even the employees who aren't rude just seem miserable. The lady who has brought me my order each time is honestly very nice---but she's seemed unhappy there as well. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant is oppressively miserable, which makes it an unpleasant ordering and dining experience. I'm very, very easily walking distance from where I attend school on the far southwestern part of the Tech campus, and more days than not, I leave to get lunch and study at a restaurant for a few hours. As much as I love Schlotzsky's and as much as I crave it sometimes, I almost never go there, because I can almost never talk myself into voluntarily walking into a place where I know I'm going to have an unpleasant experience, even if the food is delicious. I don't know what is going on with this location, but I sincerely hope the morale changes there---not only for the customers' sake, but for the employees. I couldn't imagine what it's like to work here. read more

I am a huge fan. Born in Austin in 1969. Schlotsky's has always been a family tradition. Never had a bad experience or a bad sandwich until today at the 19th location in Lubbock. The person who took my order today was incredibly rude and dismissive. The sandwich (medium original, should be very easy) was sub par at best. Both employees I interacted with acted as if I was an inconvenience. Will never go back there and am guessing this location will close soon as it should. Beyond disappointed. read more

While I have always enjoyed Schlotzsky's, I have to score them down due to a bad customer service experience. I ordered online, but when I arrived, the staff was unaware of my order. It was on a printer on the office. I observed the staff having a food fight in the kitchen. When my sandwiches were done, one was the wrong size, and an employee argued with me and even tried to convince me that's not what I ordered, despite my receipt and order confirmation showing I was correct. They did correct the order by giving me a second sandwich of the smaller size, but it was still an unnecessary hassle. Overall, I like and recommend the food. The sandwiches are decent. The price is fair. The chips are incredible. The soup is good. The Cinnabons are delicious. There is just a significant drop-off in service for the past couple of years. read more

Lunchtime rush was handled quickly. My sandwich was made correctly and was hot and fresh. Service was friendly and the tables were being bussed almost as quickly as folks were leaving! Parking lot stinks, but you can't have it all! Will be back! read more

I usually love Schlotzsky's and I go to the one on Milwaukee and 82nd all the time. Today I was over by campus and decided to stop at the one on 19th street. The people are extremely rude and both of our pizzas came out cold and soggy. Also I paid for extra avocado, and it came out with maybe 4 pieces so I said " I'm sorry I paid for extra avocado" and the employee replied " that is extra" and walked off. I never have problems with the Schlotzsky's on Milwaukee and 82nd, but the one on 19th street do not go to. read more

The food is really good. The staff needs help. They are rude and inconsiderate. Never smile, never say thanks, never greet you, don't apologize when they make mistakes, which they do, they all must HATE their jobs. The most unhappy people. It must be a requirement to work here. THE ENTIRE STAFF NEEDS TO TAKE LESSONS FROM CHICK-FIL-A, MANAGER INCLUDED, ON POLITENESS AND FRIENDLINESS. If this place did not have a built in customer base due to the hospital, it would definitely be hurting for business, due to the atmosphere because of the employee's attitudes. I come here only because it is next to Covenant. read more

Sandwich assembly sloppy. Allow me to explain: after a 10 minute drive, the bread was so wet with oil that the sandwich literally slipped out of my hand like a bar of soap, ruined my suit, and fell on the floor. Happy TGIFriday! I will not be back. read more

The first time I came here I was thinking, "man what a funny name for a business!" Then after I got my food I said "whoa! This is one serious sandwich!" read more

Came in to order a couple of sandwiches and was looking for a clean table to sit down and wait for my to go order. Passed on first four tables as they were dirty. Napkins and empty Sweet & Low packets on the floor. Two of the kitchen staff walked pass the dirty tables and trash on the floor twice. read more

It's good food and the staff is friendly, it's just not usually a place I think about going. They do have pizza as well and Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. The parking lot isn't the biggest though, it's a shopping center with several other businesses. read more

Their fountain drink diet cole has the prefect combination of cola, water and CO2 :)

Ordered our food, it took 30 minutes to get TWO sandwiches, they blamed it on their special they had. Yet people who ordered AFTER us got served BEFORE us!! Two if you're going to run a special, have more than enough employees to make the sandwiches not ONE! This has got to be the WORST location in Lubbock!! They always seem to have issues. Maybe they need a new manager. read more

The good is great and reasonably priced. Theo sourdough bread is exceptional. Definitely recommend this place if you want a quick and tasty meal. read more

Usually love this place. Today, not so much. Waited in line for almost 10 minutes, counter people not in much of a hurry. When my order arrived, it was wrong. Not the sandwich I ordered at all. My usual is the Original, never order anything different, never. I was brought a Turkey. I'm sure it's delicious but I wanted the Original. Told the server who brought my order that it was wrong, no reply. Just turned and walked away, delivered another order to the table next to me. Took the order to the counter and asked for a new sandwich. When it arrived it was Delicious. Shame I had to wolf it down as my break was over. read more

Ordered small sandwich w chips n drink. Was only customer at the time. Sandwich was made n ready but girl wouldn't take time to just hand it to me because she was busy filling drink machine with ice. First thought she didn't notice sandwich was done but. Customers don't come first here. Especially after they get their money. read more

I downloaded Yelp just to write this review. Don't go if you're in a hurry, I've never spent less than 15 minutes there just ordering a sandwich or flatbread for myself. The food is good, but the people working there are intimidatingly awkward and mostly not very nice. Upsetting because they do have great lunch choices, but just not a good experience. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but the staff at this place was hilariously incompetent. I was staying in a hotel nearby and didn't have a car, so ended up eating here 3 times in one week. Not only did they get my order wrong every time - which was pretty impressive - but they also got wrong the orders of people in front of me in line at least twice. My expectations were already low, and they were met. Also - expensive! Don't eat here unless you are stranded like I was. read more
