Chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts on toasted croissant
    Alice J.

Take out only. Everything is fresh and homemade. Three sizes of soup are available and the mini was plenty for me. The croissant was packed full of delicious filling and was enough for two to share. Very friendly and helpful staff. They offer samples if you are unsure of your choice. Will definitely be going back!

So much so, they have been craving it and cannot find another place that tastes the same. I ordered their two fish taco special which was different than any other fish taco I've had, but very good! We also tried their corn and shrimp chowder which was amaaaaaazing! My son ordered the hurricane drink and said it was strong but very tasty. This place seemed like a little gem to the locals. Their customers seem very happy to be there and the guys running it are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend coming in if you're in the area. They have something for everyone. Their food and service was phenomenal!

Four stars for the food... five stars for Scott…read more We wandered into Tiki Grill and ordered the Pittsburgh Burger, because honestly, who can resist a burger stacked high with fries and coleslaw? It's basically a sandwich that looked at a side order and said, "Hop on, we're going together." Then Scott, the owner, came by. Turns out he's a former white-tablecloth restaurant guy who decided to bring his culinary wizardry to a laid-back grill. And you can feel it immediately. The guy doesn't just run the place, he hosts it. Now let's talk surprises. The hidden gem of the night was the ratatouille. Yes... ratatouille. At a grill known for burgers. And it was the best ratatouille I've had in 25 years. Somewhere in Provence a French grandmother just nodded approvingly. The onion rings? Fried perfection. Crispy, golden, and exactly what onion rings aspire to be when they grow up. The burgers themselves were a bit overcooked for my taste, which is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five. But Scott's presence at the restaurant more than made up for it. The guy genuinely cares about his guests, checks in, chats, and makes the whole place feel welcoming. So here's the official scorecard: Food: Four Stars Onion rings: 5 Stars Ratatouille: 5 Stars Scott just being Scott: 6 stars (if Yelp allowed) Bottom line: go for the onion rings, stay for the ratatouille, and enjoy meeting Scott. Some restaurants have good food. This one has good people, and that's a recipe worth returning for.

The restaurant itself was clean and had a stylish modern-meets-vintage vibe that made the atmosphere feel both cozy and upscale. Their cocktail menu was especially unique. I ordered the Vendetta Ride, and it was easily one of my favorite drinks of the night: light, slightly sweet, and finished with just the right kick. I absolutely loved it. The menu features creative contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on sharing plates, which made the experience even more fun. We ordered two appetizers, two mains, and a dessert, and overall everything was excellent. My only critique would be the Duck Taquitos. The duck flavor was not there, and the mesquite mole sauce leaned too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, every dish impressed us. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a great dining experience. I would highly recommend this spot if you're in Flagstaff!

I don't know if chef changes the menus often BUT we had the fattoush salad, the bread board, cabbage, fideo with the venison sausage, and the chicken thighs and for dessert, we had the parsley and the apricot gelato. Yes, it sounds strange, parsley gelato but holy moly, it is probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. It is savory and sweet, so if you like really sweet desserts, it might not be your favorite but it is definitely unique and delicious. Everything was incredible. My only critique is that everything is a shareable and there's no way to serve each item, which is easily fixed with a serving spoon so, not really a critique. 11/10 food Service was great. Attentive without smothering me. Ambiance was good too. Not too crowded. Noise level was good. Go. You will not regret it.

If you're planning on breakfast for dinner, you'll need to adjust your expectations. That said, the dinner more than made up for it. I ordered the ribeye and had them top it with a couple of over-easy eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly--exactly the temperature I requested--and was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The runny yolks made an already excellent steak even better. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy choice whether you're a local or just passing through Flagstaff. Northern Pines has clearly earned its reputation for quality comfort food. Even though the all-day breakfast is a thing of the past, the dinner menu stands on its own. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Flagstaff.
