We were here for a late lunch on a Saturday. It's a full house even it's late like 1:40pm. Guess it's a local favorite. I ordered their glass noodle stir fry with beef, and he got their lunch bento box. All good, nothing to complain. Their hot sauce tastes similar to the local Korean store at home. Love it.

Came after a long hike and this place hit the spot, couldn't tell if it was b/c we were starving or the food was just on point. The restaurant was small w/ limited seating, the service was good, our server although busy made sure to check on us multiple times, even the lady who looks to be the owner came out to ask about our day and to check if the food was tasting okay. Overall gave off a warm and welcoming vibe, the type you get from a mom and pop Korean restaurant. Mandu (5/5) - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Loved it. Soon tofu stew (5/5)- hearty, flavorful, had a good amount of tofu and meats Dak gangjung (3/5)- chewy and dry, the sauce was tasty tho. Lastly, the banchan here is delicious, they kept having to refill it b/c we kept finishing it LOL. Also, I love that they serve their entrees w/ purple yam rice instead of regular white rice.

While looking for food on Thanksgiving, my husband and I were able to stumbled upon this restaurant in Flagstaff around 8PM. They were offering a Thanksgiving special menu, and unfortunately, it was only that menu that they were offering for the evening. This made it hard to make a decision since every meal was $20 and you cannot really order sides of things. But really , $20 for all of the food that came in the meal, it was also a really great option and so much food! We ordered the Korean fried chicken and the Bibimbop, both which were really good. We also got some of the spicy pork which was yummy and spicy indeed! We were missing one of our sides, which was replaced with a larger side of just cucumbers... this was actually a blessing in disguise as those cucumbers were amazing! I would honestly order a side of those again! The interior of the restaurant is pretty small and when we went in, it was set up for a pick up , though I believe they usually have tables set up. The music selection was pretty good too, I was jamming while we were waiting for food to go. We got some peach juice , but they have other drinks that were not available that evening, such as smoothies. This is definitely a place I would return to when in Flagstaff!

Cute Korean restaurant in downtown Flagstaff. Employees here are super nice. We ordered the Dakgangjung (deep fried boneless chicken) with the soy garlic sauce, and spicy glazed on the side. Wish the chicken was crispier. Next time I'll get the spicy glazed sauce because I liked it more and was not as spicy as I expected. Their banchan is good, kimchi was yummy. Mandu was delicious--hot and super crispy with good filling.

    Bibimbap. Quality ingredients and presentation.

We headed up north to Flagstaff to escape the summer heat of Phoenix and enjoy some hiking, and decided to stop by Kokiyo after seeing it on TikTok. We tried the bibimbap and chicken katsu, both were absolutely delicious! The dishes tasted fresh and made with quality ingredients, and we loved the banchan as well. The owner was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great service and fantastic food, highly recommend!

This review is for take out, they were nice over the phone when taking our order. The place looks cute from the outside. They missed the mark with the food. I was looking forward to the beef bulgigi and the spicy pork. We did not like either of the dishes and didn't finish it. The beef was so dry, no sauce. The spicy pork was worse. We're visiting from Phoenix so I don't think we will be back. Maybe we caught them on a bad night.

Army men stew, tteokboki, kfc, chicken katzu, kimchi.

Most amazing authentic Korean cuisine. This is close as we could get for "Kbbq" here in town. The Army men stew is my favorite! They also have the freshest kimchi I ever tried!

I ordered kimchi soup, nakasaki udon and dakgangjung(fried chicken), the chicken doesn't taste like it at all since I was grown up near Ktown LA I know how authentic Korean chicken tastes like, this was more like orange chicken. Needs to be more fried crispy and sweet, it was rather salty. Soups were OK overall. Meanwhile the server guy was working alone, working hard and nice, heard him talking to next table help decide on order, he knew what he was delivering and very patient, he's a def keeper here!

The only Korean restaurant in Flagstaff, but they have all your basic Korean dishes. We tried Korean fried chicken assuming it was the whole chicken but it was only wings. However, it was still crispy and delicious. We also tried champong which had ton of seafood and lot of noodles. Army stew soup was single serving which included your usual suspects like ramen noodles, sausages, kimchi and tofu. It tasted more like kimchi stew. Spicy chicken soup was my favorite out of all dishes because the broth was best out of all of them. Nothing here is exceptional but satisfied our Korean food cravings. Service is excellent and price is on the high side, but don't blame them as there is no competition and business is good. Highly recommend if you have craving for Korean food in this area.

The outside of the restaurant... JK, this was a from my Seoul trip

Stopped at at Kokiyo tonight for dinner in Flagstaff and this Korean restaurant is spot on! The service was outstanding from Emilay. She was very knowledgeable about all the items and a wonderful host. The spicy sauces were delicious. I tried both the teriyaki as well as the spicy chicken sauces. Everything is homemade and absolutely delicious. For a second, I thought I was actually in Seoul, ROK and Hongik University again I had the beef Bulgogi and it was delicious. I could not eat the entire thing and had to take leftovers so the portions were good as well.

Service was great the F&B Supervisor was terrific and Pearl our teppanyaki chef was fantastic. New York Steak, Lobster and Shrimp were all spot on. Veggie and fried rice good also. Reasonable prices, limited wait time, great service and friendly staff make this a great place to check out. They also have a sushi bar which we didn't try but heard good things. I will say the bill is confusing with an added gratuity, tax etc. We actually waned to leave a bigger gratuity but was too difficult to figure out after a few cocktails.

When we had tried to make a reservation for our party of 10 over open table it refused to let us book it. So we tried 8 since our youngest two in the group are little toddlers that barely eat. So we figured they could sit on our laps and eat off our plates. So when we had got to Sakura a bit early from the North Pole experience tonight my stepdad had mentioned that we were actually a party of 10. When I tell you the attitude and sass from this woman came off me personally if our whole party wasn't starving I would have left. Because the way she acted was as though thy had a full house and there was just no way having a party of 10 is unacceptable. Fast forward to 32+ min later we were seated and the whole start to finish took over 2 hours. I'm so grateful our server and chef were absolutely wonderful. Super polite and respectful how most people should be working in customer service unlike the hosts up front. The server and chefs were the real starts of the show tonight. And of course after our wonderful meals upon exiting there was absolutely no kind of "have a good night" or thanks for dining with us or anything of the sort. If the owner or management ever read these they def need to consider hiring new hostesses that are pleasant and not so rude.

After days of eating mostly American or Mexican food, we were really craving sushi. Because of…read morethat, we decided to try this place, especially since they offered not only sushi but also some teppanyaki dishes. We started with the Vegetable Yaki Soba, which was pretty good overall. However, I wished there had been more variety in the vegetables. It felt a bit too heavy on bell peppers, which I personally do not like. I then ordered salmon sushi and yellowtail sushi. The menu was not very clear about whether these would be rolls or nigiri. Since the menu on their website did not mention nigiri anywhere, I assumed they would be rolls. Unfortunately, they ended up being nigiri pieces instead. While they were still delicious, it wasn't what I was expecting, which was disappointing. We also tried several rolls. The AAC Roll, which includes avocado, asparagus, and cucumber, was pretty good and something I really liked, although the avocado flavor was very dominant. The Oshinko Roll, made with Japanese-style pickled radish, was just okay. The Sweet Potato Roll turned out to be very delicious. It wasn't just plain sweet potato on the inside; it was made with tempura-style sweet potato, which made a big difference. Lastly, we ordered the Hibachi Steak, which came with a salad and egg fried rice. I loved it, especially because the sauce on the steak had a really good balance of savory and sweetness. The egg fried rice was also very good, although it was a bit on the oily side. We placed our order online and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when we arrived, the staff gave off a strong "we forgot about this order" vibe, and we ended up waiting twice as long more. What bothered me most was that the staff didn't acknowledge that the order had been forgotten and didn't apologize. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I would have appreciated it if they had owned it and apologized. That experience left a slightly sour impression of this place for us.

Busting, friendly vibe, lots of families, students, people on date night. Service was attentive and congenial. The BF went for a veggie chow mein with extra veggies, and I thought I ordered the drunken noodles (Pad Kee Mao) with chicken and extra veggies too. Ended up with Pad See Ew but it was so delicious that I didn't care. Word to the wise: they really don't hold back on the spice! They say that 10 is "Thai Spice" level and 2 is medium . The BF spends half his time in Issan province in NE Thailand, where the Issan Salad is too hot for many Thai people, and he travels around Thailand too. He orders Thai spice there and can totally handle it. So after much discussion with the server, he went with 7, and I went with 4. The 7 absolutely defeated him. He had to leave everything but the veggies and then order plain white rice to soothe the palate. The 4 was plenty hot enough even for him. It was right at the edge of my comfort level. But the flavors were soooo good. Perfect blend of salty, sweet basil, a little tart lime-ness, and deep umami from fish sauce in my noodles. Couldn't taste the BF's, I could only taste fire. But the staff was so nice and they laughed so good-naturedly at my BF's spice suffering, I really can't dock them for the fiery noodles. Prices were reasonable, portions were ample. Cute little place in a cute neighborhood near the historic railway station. Good place for an after-dinner stroll.
