Last year in the Phoenix New Times I saw an ad for Sound Image, and being that we just ordered a CarPlay system for our 2010 Toyota Tundra, we needed someone with experience to install it. I called Audio Express and got a quote, but they didn't sound very confident. Then I called Sound Image and spoke with Will and that changed everything for me. He was friendly, knowledgable, and had that old school "I got you" vibe. Almost a year later, still holding onto the advertisement, I called again and told them I was coming in for the install on my husband's truck (birthday surprise). I got there right when they opened - First Come First Served 10am. I brought in the system, they verified the price, and within 15 minutes my truck was back there. I had my little guy with me, but he was entertained by the free arcade games, and convo with Jon. Couple hours later my truck was done and the CarPlay System was looking clean in our truck! I got a 12 inch sub w amplifier installed in my truck by these guys. Not coming back here. These dudes usually drink beer while installing systems into cars and the guy who installed my system tapped into my transmission fuse which caused my truck to accelerate on its own. Almost caused a bad car accident had to disconnect the system so the truck would stop accelerating. When I went back to the business to explain what happened, the guy I was talking to started throwing his hands in the air dramatically saying that wouldn't happen here and was very irritated and had someone else talk to me. This guy was understanding of the situation and apologized. Everyone else just couldn't believe that it happened there and wouldn't say anything. I'm glad I got it fixed but tapping into someone's transmission fuse should never happen. Don't trust guys who drink on the job to do installation work on your vehicle read more

I do my own electronic installs and when im not up for the task i trust and use Sound Image for my installs... they get the job done in and out.. basic 1 way alarm took them 1hr and did excellent on the install. Terrible service, would not come again. Ive had two radios installed by them, both had an affliction of some sort. On The first one, they bypassed my factory amplifier and threw another $100 on the price tag without even properly explaining what an amp bypass is. The second time I had a radio installed by them they tried to charge me extra money for something they already had to do in the service anyways. These people make up prices and don't have any chart that they actually follow. No itemization on the receipts, simply a written price that is subject to change even after they give you that price. They acted as if they didn't want to inspect my radio when the speakers started to having a static problem and pretty much were telling me there's nothing they could do before they even checked. When installing my backup camera they did not remove the old one and claimed that they COULDNT remove it. There is a way they simply didn't want to. They placed the new backup camera next to the old one and it looked horrendous. Not only that but they completely failed to hide the wires. Visible wires were left in the vehicle and I had to make another trip back for them to properly hide the wires. The ONLY reason I came to this place is because most other audio installers nearby are booked out however it's worth it to just wait for a quality installer. TLDR: Do not waste your time here. If you want a quality install, go somewhere else. read more

I bought a dual din Kenwood from Amazon, took it to them to install into my 2004 Escalade. They had all the parts to make it look fantastic, they even had the parts to make my steering wheel controls and integrated Bose amp work. They even installed a backup cam for way less than I expected. The whole job was done for less that I expected and way quicker than I expected. They did a VERY good job. read more

I have been coming Sound Image for a few years now with different high end cars; Bmw, Mercedes, Volvo etc that have stock radios that I wanted upgraded and to include subwoofers added for my musical enjoyment. Every time I have gone to this place they always have the dash kits I need for my car, that other places have to order or cant seem to get. They also get the job done in record time with a smile and stellar work. I recently took my Mercedes C230 to another place only because I couldn't get to this place only to have them bust my air vent trying to get the radio out and then not be able to get my radio out, and sent me on my way telling me that my vent was already busted, which it wasn't. I took my car to Sound Image when I was able to get a ride and not only did they have the dash kit I needed, but they installed my radio, rewired my car and FIXED the busted vent that the other place broke. I highly recommend this place above anywhere else you could possibly go to in the Phoenix area. All, of the people here from the young owners to the guys that are doing the work in the garage deserve some accolades because all work is not equal and they take great pride in their work and honestly do the best work I have had done. Bottom line, if you want your car hooked up with the best sound and equipment and reasonably priced. Bring your car here you will not be disappointed!!! Absolutely no good!! The salesman that helped me wanted to sell me a $120 car alarm for for $375 plus a $60 install. I bought some over priced Kickers for my car doors and now my switches and buttons on my doors won't work and/or fell into the doors itself. They also crudely installed some 6×9's using only two screws on each speaker from the bottom which makes them rattle and shake causing the wires to disconnect constantly! Hello. Descent place and descent selection. Install was horrible for door speakers. Already having issues with the speakers so I am taking them back. I would not recommend them for install. Like i said descent stuff but as far as knowing what there doing they have no clue. Also install bay was a dump so was the install work.
