Took 2 things there. 1 was repaired and seem to be working fine. My TV however, they couldn't repair. Said they couldn't find the part. Got the TV home and found that they had put a crack in the TV. It's not Jeff. It's his worker. I can't remember that guy's name. But that's who you need to look out for. Jeff closed, but that guy is working someplace and destroying people's electronics. Seems they suffered from what many people suffer from - an inability to tell the truth and take ownership. It's good that he's closed. But it's because he couldn't find good help. read more

This guy is the worst Paid to have my soundcraftsman amplifier checked out, and after 6 months and 20 phone calls he says he can't find what is wrong, come get it and no return on money. Took my car CD player and a cassette player to Jeff's last August for repair. It took at least two weeks to get both repairs done as the person was on vacation or out of town. Both items were repaired but was only a temporary fix. Both need to be repaired again. If you are seeking a full and complete fix I might not recommend this shop. 0 star review. I've contact this shop 3 times now to confirm open hours (supposedly until 4:30p). I called at 2:30 today to confirm I'd be coming in around 4 (give or take with traffic) to drop off my radio. Upon arriving at 4:16 there's a closed sign on the door no one answering phones or to be found. Most upsetting thing is another gentleman arrived at the same time as me stating he had just been in touch with the shop as well & that they would be open. The volume on my radio was missing I simply asked. Can you guys still get it? They wouldn't answer my question unless I brought the radio in and paid 40 bucks which seems like a scam. How hard is it to find out if the parts even available but I said OK What's your address but I was looking for a pen And wouldn't give me the address again and then hung up on me because they didn't want to give me the address again. Rude and unprofessional. I can only imagine the kind of work they perform reading the other reviews I'm glad I didn't do business with them as other places that you can send off to that are professional. This place is an absolute joke, not sure how they stay in business. I called to make an appointment to bring my truck in to have them look at the Alpine 5 channel amplifier. They said they don't have an installer anymore they can't afford the insurance, so I'd have to take the amplifier out myself and bring it in. Okay...I did and waited five weeks. Gave them a call and they said they didn't have the Alpine speaker adapters, they're super expensive on Ebay, so could they have one of mine. Two weeks later - mind you I have ZERO music, podcasts or anything in my truck without the amplifier - they said it's ready $130. I reinstalled the amplifier and it's not fixed, doing the exact same thing. I brought it back and told them it's not fixed. Any decent person knowing they did not fix the friggin' problem would have moved me to the front of the line. Nah, they had it SIX MORE WEEKS. Nothing. All told, THREE FRICKIN MONTHS $130 and my amplifier is still not fixed. read more

Brought my Marantz 2252B receiver in, I did not know what the problem was but seemed one of the channels was out. They said it would take 2 weeks to get back to with an estimate. Exactly 2 weeks later they called and let me know what they needed to do to fix the problem and what the cost would be. It cost less than half of what I thought it would be. I picked up the unit plugged it in and it works like a charm. Great service! I highly recommend. read more

After getting no information and out of desperation for a unique situation I took time off work to drive here from maricopa only to be treated extremely rudely. I had a problem with my system, we scheduled an appt for him to look at and fix it, something happened on his end and we ended up having to reschedule for the next day He came out right on time, advised me I'd be better off just buying a used amp off Craig's List vs him fixing it which would cost more. He felt badly about the previous day's missed appt and didn't charge me. I was more than willing to pay for his time; stuff happens. But he insisted. Good guy and I'd use him again. read more

They are exactly what the name says. Professional. I have an older Carver amp from late 1980s. I was having an issue with volume cutting in and out. Love my system and decided to repair. When checking online for repair service the only places that popped up where in the state of Washington. I would have to pay shipping and prepay return as well as boxing up to send. ( not cheap). Plus the cost of repair. Love my amp but not willing to pay more to fix than it was worth. Moved to the Phoenix area and decided to check places locally. Jeff's said of course on the Carver brand. Took about 1 week. Well worth the wait. Very very responsible $25. To Inspect what problem could be. Called to let me know the cost to fix. I approved. Was ready for pickup in less than 2 hours. Sean from Unique Car Audio referred me to this shop in Phoenix and found that they found the radio issue I was having is a common problem for 2012-2014 Ford Focuses (Foci) and I dealt with Frank, who I think deals with OEM stuff. Frank said this would be a 3 week thing and cost around $250. He would uninstall the radio parts, send to the manufacturer, they would fix, he'd get it back, and then reinstall. I would still be able to use my car and maybe some of the controls won't be working on the radio panel, but that shouldn't affect the performance, drivability or safety of the car. I told him now the radio is working, but he said when it no longer works, I can bring it in. Since it's not a critical feature to the real things I need for my car, I'll wait until this truly goes out completely before spending the money. Funny how Ford doesn't even know for its own cars their own radio systems they put in the cars they manufacture. Frank was very easy to talk with, explained things to me in a way I could understand. Will be back and hopefully the whole experience will be as pleasant as getting help from them this initial time. I'm certainly glad that Frank didn't say to me, "Oh, there could be a million things that could be the cause of the failure." read more

I had brought in my Kenwood kr v 7050 for a repair. When on the unit would give off an audible clicking sound. On the first click it power down the 2nd click would turn on. Being a construction electrical engineer myself I knew it needed to be checked out beyond its on/off switch, like protection circuit or something triggering the protection circuit. It started as in frequent. I thought it might be associated with an overheating inside. Jeff's replaced the on/off power switch after 7 months it started again. It originally cost me $100.00 to replace switch. No other service was performed. I would not claim these guys to be technicians to look beyond the switch. I could have ordered another switch and soldered it in. I don't believe they have enough diagnostic experience. read more

I had really poor experience with Jeff. Like few other mentioned very poor customer service skills. I have asked for repair quote and followed up few times. I did not get any reply. Finally I was blocked and all my calls went to voicemail. Who would block your customer. I would have paid the diagnosis fee. Simple reply to my email would have really solved this issue. Extremely slow turnaround time for repairs. Had my amplifier sent for repair. Took nearly 2 months to get it back.

They had my receiver over a month and did nothing but a "factory reset." I had to keep calling them to get the status every time. Painfully slow! If you have warranty work it will be less frustrating to ship it to a real repair center. read more

I called around to find a professional who could remove a stuck dvd (and possibly repair) a dvd player installed in the headrest of my 2010 Cadillac SRX (entotainment system). I was referred to Jeff's by Jon C. at Pro Guard. I am 100% satisfied by the work done to remove the stuck disc and restore it's eject function for a fraction of the costs of a replacement dvd player, if there was a replacement, for this synced up dvd. The work was completed within a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend Jeff's Professional Audio. THANK YOU for a job well done! read more

Like others have said, I first went to Audio Express in Scottsdale first(shout out to those guys too) for my broke-ass 2006 Ford Explorer 6 cd changer/ radio which was then just a radio cause all 6 cd's were stuck and wouldn't play or come out. First thing he says is you need to go see Jeff's place on 19th ave. So I did and couldn't believe how quickly he removed the entire unit, told me a week or so and he would call with an estimate first. All True!! It's now fixed like new with a warranty too! And a great price considering the cost of a totally new unit. Do yourself a favor and check them out!!! read more

They had my receiver for over 2 months. I had to make contact with them as they never called me. Ended up not repairing my receiver as they were "stumped" as to why it was broken. If this was the only audio repair place in the state, I would ship my product to another state. Never again. read more

I took my Pioneer receiver in for repair. It was brand new and the HDMI and sub-woofer output did not work. I had had it in to Dynatronics previously and they didn't fix either issue, but kept telling me that they did. Jeff's was able to get the HDMI operational, but the sub-woofer still did not work. I took it back a second time and they assured me that the sub-woofer output was working properly. It still doesn't work. They take no pride in their work at all. The unit is now 9 months old and still not working. I'm very disappointed in both Pioneer and their repair facilities. I don't know where to go to get this fixed. read more

I bought a expensive restored 1960s Grundig Weltklang 3012 car radio on eBay Germany. When I installed the radio, no sound came out of the speakers. It would have cost $100 to mail the radio back to Germany for repairs and have it sent back, and even then, the seller did not seem interested in repairing it, but rather, wanted to substitute a less expensive radio, and I would still have had to pay for shipping. I contacted many different vintage radio repair shops in the USA. Even the ones that restored vintage German car radios would not touch it, and the shops that repaired Grundig radios would not touch it because it was a car radio. It seemed that no one in the USA was willing to take a look at it. I even visited many different vintage electronics repair shops in Phoenix like Dyna-Tronics, and no one was willing to look at it, but several of the shops recommended Jeff's Professional Audio. I brought the radio by, and they repaired it the next day for $80. I was amazed that not only was this shop willing to look at it, but they actually repaired it! And in short time! read more

HORRIBLE! They literally told me to FU** OFF because they didn't fix my equipment properly. I brought in my Pioneer CDJ 1000 to get it repaired. They called me a week later saying it was ready, so I picked it up and brought it to my DJ gig. When I plugged it in, I realized that it wasn't fixed at all. I called them and told them it wasn't fixed and they said to bring it in and they will go over it again. When I bring it in I make sure to describe in great detail EXACTLY what is wrong. They call back a week later saying they can't see anything wrong with it. After describing once again exactly what is wrong with it, they say it has to be the pitch slider. They say they will get it repaired. I get a call 2 weeks later saying it is fixed. I go in to pick it up, but this time I ask to test it before leaving. The front desk guy plugs it in and It still had the exact same problem. He goes to tell the repair guy in the back that it isn't fixed and I hear him say (quite loudly) "Are you kidding me... Tell him to FU** OFF!" Needless to say, I will definitely NEVER go back to this place. If you want your equipment repaired properly and don't like to be told to F*** OFF, then find somewhere else. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! I brought my car there to have the touchscreen repaired. I was told it would take approximately 40 mins. 2.5 hrs and 4 failed attempts later I was advised my touch screen was finally working. Within an hour my car radio died, the battery light came on and all of the lights on my dashboard came on. The steering wheel locked up and I could barely pull off the highway. I pulled over and turned off my car. Went to restart with push button and the car would not restart. I called Jeff's shop and advised what happened and they immediately denied any wrong doing. I had to tow my car to a repair shop and the repair man said there was a strong burning electrical wiring smell under my hood and the battery caps were removed. I explained the type of work that was just performed by Jeff's Professional Audio and the repairman explained the wiring must have not been connected properly. In the end Jeff's Professional Audio burned out my alternator and battery. On top of that the touch screen has a horrible "rainbow" glare across the screen and now glitches anytime you change the screen options. When I called to talk with the owner he was hollering at me and VERY rude over the phone. I've never worked with such an unprofessional business such as this. Save your money and look elsewhere. read more
