I went to the SOS Salon the Floating Tank. I'm all about new experiences and wanted to try the sensory deprivation water tank. They have a first time deal for new clients - $40 for an hour! I went in for my session and they explained how everything worked. If you are interested in some relaxation and meditation this may be for you. You shower, go in the tank for an hour, then shower again afterwards. The water is supersaturated with magnesium so you just lay back and easily float. For me personally, I did about 10 minutes of that and was not feeling it. Even with earplugs they provide, some water was getting in my ears, it was hard for me to relax my neck and I got some of the salty water in my eyes! Eek! I was a hot mess in short. They have a spray clean water inside so if you do get some of the salt water in your eyes you can spray it out. After 10 minutes though, I couldn't rest my mind and was making a mental list of things I needed to get done & was sad I couldn't write them down. Ha! It was truly an interesting experience but it's not really for me. Your hair will get completely drenched so either be prepared for that or schedule a blow out right after. You're in a salon after all and that's exactly what I did! The blowout was just $20 for a basic one and they shampooed all the salt out of my hair. This salon is really gorgeous, friendly staff and if float therapy is something you want to try, I'd have no reservations giving it a go!

Oh my! What can I say about Lola & Hope. They are so good at what they do. They are such hard workers and have good techniques and styles. They both have the best customer service skills and are willing to help anyone in need, including walk-in's. I've been seeing Lola for about 3yrs now, I've seen Hope a few times as well. My hair means the world to me, im very particular and picky about who touches it. Especially when it comes to dye and cuts. The products that are used at SOS are natural and of high star quality. My hair feels and looks healthy and shines. I've always gotten compliments on the styles. Prices are fair and plastic is accepted. I'm allowed to bring my puppy in, since she is well trained & behaves well with others. So if you have the time, and need a great hair style or color this weekend. Or perhaps you need to just soak your soreness/ aches away in their Pods. Then you have to contact these ladies to get in and enjoy the experience and treatment you deserve. Your welcome.

If Hope is behind, she washes my hair and puts a deep conditioner in my hair to stay in for a few minutes at no extra cost.

Time for a round of I like, I wish, I wonder! I had no idea what float therapy was before Yelp…read moreintroduced me to this business. I did some research to find that you go into 10" deep water that has 1000+ lbs of epsom salts in it. It's anti-gravity, so you float without effort. It's meant to be meditative, relieve anxiety, and assist in pain relief and improved sleep. You can float in a swimsuit or your birthday one (which helps increase the goal of sensory deprivation, as the swimsuit can take on a temperature different than your skin and the water temp). I like... the privacy of the rooms where you get your own float pod, shower (for before and after), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels. The water temp is supposed to be 94F to match the temp of your skin, but at times, it felt a little cooler than that. Options in the pod to change the color of the light to any color of the rainbow, or shut it off completely, which I tried for the back half of my float! It did take a while to find the light switch at the end of the session, LOL. Option also to close the pod doors or leave them ajar. I closed mine after a few minutes. The prep room is available for use after you're done floating and showering. I used the hair dryer and leave in conditioner. The complimentary amenities are so nice, including hair ties, Q tips, deodorant, and individually wrapped brushes/combs! Afterwards, I had some ginger tea and tried out the oxygen room, where I got to sample the lavender orange one. I could have fallen asleep in there! I wish... I didn't bump into the sides of the pod as much as I did, LOL. I'm not even that tall. Can't imagine someone 6' or taller fitting into this, but I was told the pods are 7', and a former Bears player who's 6'9" made due. I wonder... how the long lasting benefits of float therapy can help me. It's supposed to lead to a good night's sleep, so I'm looking forward to that! I met Murphy upon my first arrival to True Rest. He was very pleasant and has owned the spa with his sister for the past 1.5 years. I spent over 2 hours there, and it was very relaxing! Felt like I was transported to another world. Next time, I'll be sure to spend a little time in the Oasis Room afterwards to journal or color in the adult coloring books. Can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

After learning more about the parasympathetic nervous system, I came across sensory deprivation floating as something to try - enter Float Sixty. Honestly, I was skeptical at first - would I be paying a lot of money to float in a big tub with the lights off and earplugs in? Would I even be able to relax, and for a whole hour? Well, I'm here on Yelp to tell you it was a wonderful and soothing experience. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed and (since it was my first time floating) everything was explained thoroughly. I had float suite 2, which has its own shower and comes equipped with essentials like ear plugs. I ended up wearing a bathing suit and didn't feel it impeded my experience - it actually helped me feel more comfortable. Part of the time I was able to relax and float in silence, and the rest of the time I played relaxing tones/music from my phone which I really enjoyed but do not recommend bringing the phone into the chamber since it will accumulate salt. I wish there was an ambient light option and speaker option in the chamber to customize the experience but I understand that defeats the sensory deprivation idea. After the session, there are other rooms to relax in, and a vanity table with toiletries and a hair dryer. Unfortunately almost all of the hair products were empty so that was a bummer. There's also water and tea available after your session, and the tea was actually quite delicious. I would definitely recommend Float Sixty and will definitely be back for another session.

The staff immediately greeted me with genuine hospitality and made sure I felt comfortable and informed about everything before starting. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which makes it easy to relax the second you walk through the door. Everything looks high-quality and organized, and it's obvious they put a lot of effort into creating a premium experience. The cryotherapy session was amazing. It was my first time trying it, and the staff explained the whole process clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The equipment looked top tier and the whole experience felt safe and professionally handled. Afterward I genuinely felt refreshed, energized, and like my body had hit a reset button. What really stood out to me though was the level of customer service. The team here goes above and beyond to make sure every person has a great experience. They answered all my questions, took their time with me, and made the whole visit feel personalized rather than rushed. If you're thinking about trying cryotherapy or a float spa, I would 100% recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in the area and easily one of the best wellness experiences I've had. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

So we decided to try the couples one. Right now they only have one chamber but from my understanding they are in the process of obtaining another one. But honestly, it doesn't matter. Alex is like the nicest person you'll ever meet and makes sure you're extremely comfortable with the process as well as the atmosphere. Upstairs has a private bathroom and another device I haven't tried yet but intend to. The chamber fits two people more than comfortably. This may sound stupid (because the entire point is sensory deprivation) but after my first experience, I just wanted a very dim light (when they say 'pitch black' that is not an exaggeration). They do have them but you don't have to use them. They also have meditation music if you want it but don't have to. The showers are much nicer than the last place I went to. I loved it so much! I thought my husband was just doing this just to check a box but he actually said he wants to do it again. That surprised me. If I had a fancy job-thing I'd do this often. The only recommendation I have is stickers on the shower dispensers saying 'shampoo' and 'body wash'. Granted, Alex told me what they were but I forgot. :) I also never realized this little hidden 'downtown' area existed. it seems like all of the small business are there for each other as they advertise for one another. I think that is baller (yes, I'm 45 and still use the word 'baller'...and what?) We hit up the coffee shop that apparently has a concert venue upstairs. I wish they had a website but still, this is way more valuable real estate than I would have ever imagined.
