I really like it here. It has an easygoing yet professional vibe. Everyone is very friendly, and Patty, who cares for my hair, is very knowledgeable, thorough, and nice. She listens to my needs whether color, cut, or other hair care areas, and does a great job delivering. During covid Jadore took extreme ongoing measures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the business. Everyone wore masks (the correct way) and observed social distancing. What else, I have purchased and used their hair care products and they are very good. I actually had bought the brand in Cali and this was the first place I saw it for sale in midwest. This is the best salon for highlights, color, cut, and a blowout. Ella and both Pattys are all extremely skilled. I always get compliments on my hair. My hair is thick, long, and curly which is usually a recipe for disaster at other salons. I always walk out with the most amazing blowout aka no frizz. I did not have a good experience here. The woman who cut my hair, did not listen to me at all. I was in the process of growing out an undercut hairstyle, so my sides were shaved and the top was long almost to my chin. I just want to get the top cut in the back and on the sides to help blend my hair, and get some layers in it. When I was explaining to her where I parted my hair when it wasn't all flipped over to one side, she took out her clippers and started to SHAVE that side of my hair that was long! I had to stop her in the middle of it. I had no words. So then she had to go much shorter than I wanted to in the back to try and make it look somewhat ok. She left the back of my hair a mess and was uneven. This woman butchered my hair and I've had to go somewhere else to have them fix it. Not good, I would not recommend this place. read more

Absolutely horrible! They don't listen to want you want. If you show them a picture of want you want they will ruin it. They seemed nice but I don't think they care about their clients. My 1st time experience was surprising. I went in for a retouch and basically to fix my hair since it was like a rainbow. Patty took care of me and she did a fabulous job. She is super nice and professional I have no complaints of. I do have tons of hair and it is super long. She did a great job. I am aware of the longer the more money but I was extremely shocked when it came down to paying. Patty asked Ela and to my surprise ela charged me $495.00 for what? I was in shock yes Patty was awesome I am at least very happy with the outcome but the price. I've never paid more than 190 for my hair. I stopped by the following day kind of get a reason why I paid that much and I was told by Ela that they used a lot of toner and bleach on my hair. Still did not answer my question. I did not even get a cut, I can only imagine how much would I have paid for the cut included. Ela did end up giving me a conditioner and shampoo she said it was worth $60. But it still does not compensate the almost $500 dollars I paid for the services. I felt like she was taking advantage of me and that she was being very greedy. I think I will take my ass back to Gallery of hair. Upset because I really loved Patty's work too bad she has a greedy boss. read more

I had an appointment today for a haircut and treatment at 4:30 I walked in with my 7 year old little girl and canceled my treatment that would've taken 30 mins to an hour including shampoo and and styling to add my daughter for a trim. 2 women were open and available including the lady for my appt., but were talking amongst each other before they would answer me if they would accept my daughter as a walk in. They made me wait for a response to the point where it was an awkward moment so I asked again. Still I'm waiting and when I ask again she tells me we can take you but not your daughter as she looks at my daughter like a racist bitch. We are Puerto Rican and it was soo obvious they didn't want to take care of me. I canceled my appointment and will never go back to this salon. My fine, thin hair badly needed styling & a perm I showed Patty a couple of pictures showing the general style I hoped for. She did a really super job and I'm delighted with the result. I came to J'Adore Hair Studio because of my sister's stellar recommendation of our hair stylist, Little Paty! I'm always one to go thru Yelp for reviews on any business, review, but not really contribute. But like I said before, this is long overdue. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you've known these awesome stylists since forever! They always offer refreshments and great advice for hair treatment going forward. I've brought some pretty crazy request to Paty and she's always kind and gives me professional advice in terms of color and cut! I feel like I can talk about anything, and she's got such a positive attitude and a great sense of humor! She always remembers the little details, which means ALOT to any customer! They used to be at the Brickyard location, but they have moved to a brand new and beautiful new location on Harlem. I love the new colors, new lighting, you feel so pampered! To be honest, if they moved anywhere else, I would make the time to go, because the service is impeccable! I love this new location and it was very easy to find parking!
