If I could give Thisoma 10 stars I would. I've been going to her for YEARS! Once you find a great hair stylist that looks at their work as art you need to stick with them. Thisoma tells it how it is, she doesn't sugar coat what you need done. She doesn't mind putting in extra work if something doesn't look quite right. She is very precise and I am so happy with my results. Usually I get an all around blonder look with a tiny bit darker undertones to match my roots which is a dirty blonde. I've let my hair grow out for about a year because I love the Khloe kardashian Ombre look. So I KNEW it was time to come in and get it all blended. It looks beautiful. It's not TOO much of a difference from my previous hair, but it's exactly what I was looking for!!! I am so thankful to have such a great hair stylist and I would never go anywhere else!!! I've never let just anyone do my eye brows befor, I been going to the same lady for 16 years, but one day I was ready to go out an was running late, needless to say I had no time to go all the way to her and get them done. So I decided to walk in and give T'SOMA a try.. I was very nervous at first and explained to her that I've never let anyone else do my brows, but was running late. Not only did T'SOMA MAKE me feel very comfortable, but did an awesome job on my eye brows.. Now I'm a life time customer and recommend all my family and friends to check her out.. I bought a groupon for keratin treatment. I emailed at first and with no response i called the salon. After a few tries i finally got through. She scheduled me for 2 weeks from the day i was calling and said she was going on vacation and i understand so i was fine with that. So after work i rushed to pick up my son and head to the salon , early... with 8 minutes to spare and guess what? Lights were turned off and it was close. How inconvenient and a big waste of my time. Nobody was there. I shouldve known because when i called she took my name but didnt even bother taking my phone number down which proves poor customer service. I called at 3:45 today, I asked if they took walk-ins, I would have left then and waited my turn patiently. I was told that I should make an appointment, which is what I did. My appointment was at 5. I showed up 5 minutes early and was told to wait a few minutes. There was a woman with foil in her hair, I thought okay this is going to be about 10 minutes, the wash and blow dry. Nope 25 minutes later, I am still waiting. I have gotten hair cuts in less time, with a wash! I was TOLD to make an appointment, but when I got there for the appointment I made, I was asked to wait. I left 20 minutes after my appointment time. She was still working on the woman with the foil's hair. She was also chatting up her buddy who came in for plans after work. My time did not matter at all. I want to try to contribute to small businesses but when someone disrespects my time, I just can't! read more

I have thick wavy/curly hair (I'm Mexican) and it's long, too. I'm very picky about keeping it as long as possible and I understand that dead ends do exist. Tsoma does a great job cutting my hair along with the layers in my hair. It's not easy to find someone who can cut thick wavy/curly and make it look good with layers. Not so good experience. I did keratin, but honestly dont think stylist put enough keratin in my hair during procedure to last even till first wash. I dont have thick and curly, rather fine and straight hair and have been doing keratin mostly for the frizze for years now. Never had worst experience! After my first wash my hair was almost exactly how it was before the treatment. Frizzy. The next day I call the salon to ask if they can redo the treatment since what they did made no difference to my hair. And then it started. She tried to push responsibility everywhere instead of agreeing that something must of go wrong. She was blaming shampoo. ( I especially purchased the Global keratin shampoo recommended by her). Then she asked me if I styled or ironed my hair after wash. Seriously? If I need to style or iron my hair then I dont need keratin treatment. The only reason Im getting it, its so I dont need to style my hair each time I wash! Overall very disappointing experience! Be aware! It might happen to you! read more

I purchased a Keratin treatment $99.00 groupon gift cert for my daughter, when she called to make the appointment she was informed that she may have to pay additional money depending on the length and density of her hair. On appointment day Tsoma ran her fingers through her hair and told her that it would be another $65.00 because she has very thick hair. Tsoma asked if that was okay. Well for a full time student, barely working part time hours it really isn't okay, but she really wanted to get her hair done. Tsoma worked quickly and did a great job! My daughter will go back as she really liked Tsoma and they established a set price for future visits, but I think that Tsoma should probably rethink the price of her groupon offers. It's a new business, so it's a learning experience. read more

Love this salon! Location is very good, parking is never a problem, and Thisoma is knowledgeable about hair. She gives excellent haircuts, and her salon is nicely designed. I became allergic to PPD (chemical in most hair dyes), after years of coloring my own hair. Thisoma solved my dilemma; she used a permanent color without chemicals that cause allergic reactions. I don't know if i should give her a 1 or a 2. I would give her a 2 for being honest with me about her expertise. I called T'soma hair salon to make an appointment for the Keratin. She requested that I don't go through Groupon and go through her. That's fine with me. I ask her if she has done Black women's hair before and would be comfortable doing it. For some reason, I had a feeling that she wouldn't be able to do it because I usually don't ask. She claims she has done Black hair before and to come on in. I made my appointment. It takes me a little over an hour to get there. I took two busses and arrived there as the salon opened. I go in and she takes a look at my hair. She all but insults it. Stating she did do black hair before but it was finer and the curls weren't as loose. She then asked if I ever received Keratin before and were other stylists ok with working on my hair. Not something you should say to a client. She tells me she is not comfortable with working with my hair. I didn't want someone who had reservations about doing my hair to touch it so I got up and left. She apologized but I am hesitant to accept it. I think she didn't want to dedicate the time to do the Keratin for $99. I think she might have dedicated the time if I was paying full price. Two, if you are a hairdresser then you should know how to work on different hair textures. All my Keratins that I received before was done by Caucasian women and they didn't have a problem doing it. Three, it's not a good idea to insult your client's hair. Though I was slightly annoyed that I made a two hour trip to this salon and back, I found a fantastic hairdresser who took me the same day at Evolution Hair Salon. She did the job in under two hours and styled it without charging me extra. Definitely recommend that salon over this one. Plus, it's a lot closer and train/bus friendly unlike T'soma's location which is really far. read more
