I always go to Kim and never disappoints. she does an amazing job! All tools used are very clean and sterile.

Best no chip manicure I've ever had! Been going consistently for a few months now, Jenny is amazing!

Really long lasting no-chip with lots of choices. They have a large display with magnetic polish and other designs. Been coming here for years and had many different technicians and they have all been good but I especially like Kim. read more

I am a long time customer and will go to the grave being one. Jenny is my nail tech and the owner at Windy City Nails. This is the only place I'll go. She is so attentive and talented in her work. Every time I have come in for my nails ( I'm massive fan of bold colors/designs), she is ready to take on my next idea. Jenny is very sweet and genuinely gives you the space to sit silently or engage in conversation. The rest of the staff there are long time employees, and truly the sweetest of the bunch. They have many loyal clients along side myself. Bruce, the other owner, is also so kind! I typically spend $40-$60 dollars for fill ins/design/polish/work. It varies on what I want done and with good reason! I also get pedicures every now and then which varies from $30-$40. The quality service I receive reflects the pricing more than fairly! read more

I have been getting my nails done here for about 2 months & have always had great results. I love that they are open later, since I pretty much always come in at 6:30pm. They do great work & have also repaired my nails a few times when some have cracked (I pick at them). The prices are pretty good as well, $40 for a gel polish, acrylic nail fill ($3 up charge for coffin). read more

I am a long time customer and have always been treated great when coming in, especially if I am late or last minute. I typically go to to Tammy as she is always so kind, does a great job and pays attention to detail. She also does designs. Today I needed to come in and was nervous as she is out of town and Kimberly took me with no problem and did GREAT! She even came up with the design herself and I was so impressed. She was also very caring and took her time despite closing. I will say they are the best to go to in the area, especially for their hours. I have never felt rushed ever, no matter how busy and that's something I always want. read more

Friendly staff, always accommodating, good variety of colors. I'm only giving them 3 stars however, because its a crapshoot whether or not you will walk out with a good no-chip manicure. I just got one today and the acrylic had obviously gone over my nail and onto the side of my nail/skin area. Having had this happened before, and knowing this usually means that water will get underneath and peel earlier than expected, i mentioned it to the younger lady while checking out. She immediately told me she would fix it and she did! I also go here often since its close by and convenient. read more

Love love looove this place! They are EXTREMELY attentive. They provide punch cards for discounts, and water on the house! Went there for my first time with my 6yo sister. They took so much care of her, got her a mani and pedi and they added little flower decals on her nails without me asking. 2nd time I take her to get her nails done and she prefers this than the previous place. For myself, I got the most beautiful set done. I have gotten tons of compliments on my nails. The best part is that they glow in the dark!!! Going on 2 weeks and my nails still look great, still getting compliments. Going back soon! read more

Second visit to Windy City and will not return. Nail Tech was not welcoming, and I felt she would rather be somewhere else. I get she may have been having a bad day but give a little. She didn't introduce herself and this is concerning, considering I could have been a potential long-term client. The polish I chose seemed to be a bit thick and in hindsight I should have requested she thin it or if they had one, open a new bottle. In the end I wore flipflops that had a thick toe piece. She polished with them on, and the toe piece ended up smudging both big toes. Guess she didn't realize but maybe she should have thought about it. I'm not a nail tech and it never crossed my mind. Next pedicure I will not wear them. When she was called to fix both she acted put out. All in all, a very unpleasant experience, both nail tech and pedicure. read more

I have been going to Windy City Nails for about 2 years now. They are wonderful. Clean, friendly, never short of colors and (this is my favorite) they have a delicate touch. They don't miss a beat and are very reasonably priced. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend Windy City Nails. Another Plus- They're fast. read more

They're inconsistent and aren't creative and skilled enough for every nail style. Customer service is mid. I've been going to them for over a year out of familiarity and because I usually did basic styles which wasn't always great work but once I started asking for more creative styles that's when things got worse. One time I came with a pic of what I wanted (blue French tip low almond shape - nothing complex) the stylist said she could do it then half way through after she'd filed my name and laid the powder, she tells me she can't and made up reasons that didn't put her at fault. I'm done. read more

I am really really really picky about my nails, I live in Naperville but I come all the way over here because they do such a great job. Tina is awesome, social, nice, and does exactly what you ask her to do, which I find to be a struggle usually when I get my nails done so it's great to have somebody to actually listen to what you want. I came here with my Son to get our nails done for the Pride parade next weekend and I showed them a few picture with the pride colors all the people in there were like oh no we can't do that but then for a similar picture I showed them they said ok pic the colors and then proceeded to tell me that they were going to charge me 30 dollars more because of the multiple colors are u fricken kidding me ur basically drawing a line of each damn color, this place is price gouging, I'm never coming here again these people don't even know what they're doing anyway read more

I'm making this review as I got out the shower this morning and realized that the man who did my nails did not cut my cuticles really makes the manicure look so ugly. I don't have much experience in getting my nails done so that definitely screwed me over in not realizing how important it is to make sure the cuticles are cut and to take time to color since some edges were sloppy by him rushing it as I can tell. I will go to another place to get these re done because I can't start my week like that, not a very good use of 63 dollars and tip. Everyone else seemed really nice and probably does a better quality job. read more

Let me start off with saying the people that run this nail salon and work at this nail salon are the nicest people I've encountered at a nail salon. They're kind, attentive and funny! I got a full set of acrylics with designs and it was only $33 which is a great price. I showed him a picture of the nails I wanted and he recreated them pretty dang good ! He paid attention to details not only on the designs but the nails themselves. My only complaint is that it's only been 2 days and they are already starting to show wear.. I do not have a job that would speed up the process of wear. I'm a little concerned they won't be in the best shape for my vacation in a few days. read more

They did a fantastic job on mine and my daughters nails. They were also very kind and fast.

This is my second review for Windy City Nails. My nails are not even a week old & they are already lifting & cracking. I would HIGHLY recommend not going here. Not only do they mislead you in their prices, but their work is absolutely horrible. I have never had nails like this before & I have been getting my nails done for a very long time. I have even traveled 6 hours to Lee Nails in Iowa for a beautiful set of gel nails that lasted WEEKS before any sign of lifting. When you ask for thick, curved nails & get ignored not once but twice & walk out with nails that stick up & a totally different charge than first quoted & top it off your nails lift less than a week... Poor poor customer service & salon!!! See my photo for proof. read more

This is my third time at Windy City Nails and my experience has been exceptional. My first time I came I received a no chip which lasted for over two weeks with no lifting or peeling. Friendly staff but my nails came out awful. Very thick on the acrylic and not smooth.

I recently moved to Jefferson Park and the Nail Salon hunting went crazy for me for months. I tried Rose Nails, Dream Nails, S&J Nails, do not get me wrong some salons were decent. My nails seem to break or chip off quickly in a short period of time with this places. Since Windy City Nails Open, not one nail has had a tear or broken and have lasted me up to 3 weeks! I have zero complaints. I work with my hands, lift and wash hands constantly and i do house cleaning. In my opinion, nothing compares to the customer service and nail service provided. This is my Third time since they opened and i always leave with a smile. I am very thankful for a close nail Salon with excellent service and customer care! Thumbs up! read more

Went in for manicure and was told they were too busy and to come back in a half hour. I did and still had to wait, which is fine, weekend and no appointment. Got a regular manicure (was going to do no chip but the lady did not speak English very well and just kept saying regular so I went with it, also fine). All went well. Next day, my manicure was chipped. Was going to go back but got very sick and couldn't. Called when I felt a bit better and had to talk to two different people. I was told, "we not responsible for nail polish, regular nail polish we not responsible. You have problem you should have come back next day". Now, I understand that in a perfect situation going right back would have been best but due to the fact that I was sick and in hospital, I could not. Even though I explained this to the owner he kept saying, "we not responsible for nail polish, regular nail polish we not responsible." read more

My girlfriends nails kept chipping and we needed to find a place fast! You know happy wife and happy life. So we started looking because we had a date planned in two hours and i gave the manager a call and he said that he would be able to accommodate if we came within 15 minutes. Driving like need for speed, we were there in 5 minutes and within an hour my girlfriend came out looking like Beyoncé at the Grammys. Recommend! read more

Terrible experience on my 8th visit. Do. Not. Go. Here. Long story short... it all went down hill in a matter of seconds. I was told by the owner that I would be charged$5 to take off my no chip (hands only) because I wasn't getting a no chip on today's visit. This salon gave me a no chip.1.5 weeks ago, I came back to get a regular mani and pedi for myself, and hands and feet painted for my five-year-old. it was her birthday and they were aware of this. I was shocked and confused as this has Never been the case at any other salon and I've been getting no chips for at least 10 years. Spearing all the details I was accosted he was unprofessional argumentative called me a name in front of my daughter my daughter ended up crying he never even consoled her or came over to apologize for his behavior. I am absolutely stunned and still shocked as I write this review. she was in the middle of getting her nails done so we finished up her set and I left I mainly went to my old salon and asked if they ever heard of such a thing and they said they have never heard of charging a customer $5 to take off a no chip when they are getting another service. What's more upsetting than him charging $5 is the way I was treated, felt like he was treating me old school male chauvinist- like a woman has no say so. I was truly trying to understand where he was coming from and confused why he would charge a returning customer to take off polish. . I could go on but just beware that if you have a no chip he's going to charge you unless you get bullied into getting a no chip every single time. this photo was taken after my daughter had a complete hysteric meltdown, he never came over to apologize to her he is a true heartless person. read more

First time here and I truly was excited that there was no wait time-bad idea. Very rude service by Judy. She was very abrasive with me, provided no massage to my feet while I was getting my feet done. Additionally, I was scolded by her repeatedly while getting my no chip fingernails done because I didn't know how to use her light that had a delay than most. I asked her for a color similar to a natural pink that I had on and the ending result was a light white pink color which I cannot wear due to the nature of my job. I was scared to mention how poorly painted they were because when I asked her why she was using acrylic polish on my nails, she ignored me about 4 times and practically bit my head off. You would think the owner/head in charge would say something to his employees about the way they speak to their customers but apparently he fully supported her and tried to tell me that he seen her give me a massage and tried blaming me saying I didn't see it because I was too busy on my phone. Very disappointed with this salon. I never comment on salons that give mediocre service but I am completely appalled at the customer service that was given. They said if I wanted to change my color and redo my nails, I would need to return and reschedule because there were others waiting. I do not recommend this salon and I've been to a couple that have rude service but never felt so disrespected and humiliated like I did at this salon. read more
