I love the note board and quotes. So peaceful here.

Most soothing, relaxing place ever! Heather is super sweet and helpful. I don't know what else to say but that Love it and can't wait to go back for another visit. You can book online, via phone or even text. They are very technologically savvy. All the employees that respond to you are friendly. They have four huge tank rooms. (So me and my two friends could go together!) Not just an isolation tank here. So even if you're claustrophobic, you should be able to enjoy this peaceful experience. There are ambient blue lights and soothing waves sounds. Either or both of which you can turn off if you want the full, immersive isolation experience. If you're claustrophobic, these items will help you feel like you're in a big room floating. Instead of closed in. So when you get there, relax. Have some tea and converse quietly or just enjoy your own thoughts until it's your time. Heather will give you a quick rundown of getting ready to take this delightful trip. No need to bring anything. They have sulfate free shampoo, body wash and conditioner (for afterwards! No conditioner, makeup or oils in the pools!) Towels are provided. And robes if you need to run to the restroom. Earplugs are provided as well. They even have silicone caps if you need one for colored or water challenged hair. Just let them know. Now take your shower and get on in. Time for you to rest, recharge and be with your own thoughts. Or not if you can clear your mind. It will seem like it could be forever but then all the sudden you're done and the gentle Asian music is soothing you into awareness that you don't want to leave. Lol Climb on out and wash the salt off. Dry off and get dressed. Wander down the hall. There is a nice dressing room to become presentable. Combs, dryers, q-tips and lotion provided in front of nice big mirrors. A very bright room of sunshiny yellow to awaken you. Now go back out to the blissful reception area and it's comfy couches, nifty sand table, peaceful nature scenes on the big tv and enjoy the silence and relax with a cup of tea before heading back out to reality. Heather will have whatever flavor you like waiting when you come out. ;)

Tonight was my first float and it was amazing! The studio is very relaxing and clean. Instructions were simple. Shower, get naked, float. This was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. So glad I got myself to disconnect for a little while. Afterwards you get to hang out in the lobby with some tea and good conversation. I definitely will be back for more. Looking forward to it. One thing I want to work on for my next float is staying more still and in the center. I was a little fidgety at first and would bump into the walls. Totally my fault but will focus on it for next time. && yes. You will be able to tell when your float is over. The music is distinct and the lights come on. Something I was worried about but for no reason!

Bucket List: Total sensory deprivation for an hour. Check! Not weird, WONDERFUL! A Groupon for two "floats" at the Anicca Float Club in Warrenville finally let me satisfy my curiosity about what it would be like with total sensory deprivation. Wow! After my float session started, it took a few minutes to get past the novelty of everything. But once I settled in and calmed, it was like I was being wrapped in a gel. Totally weightless with no points of pressure anywhere. Strange but awesome. Total darkness. No sounds. Totally relaxing. Wow. What a place for meditation! I can only imagine how much this could help someone with chronic pain or pressure points. This is a very nice place - classy with a knowledgeable staff. Very "spa like" and clean. Not a cheesy thing in sight. Looking forward to my next float...

So funny every negative review this owner claims it is false. Or her favorite is to tell people how…read moreterrible they are to try and give a (honest) review which hurts her small business. Then the next sentence brags about her business thriving and been around for 11 years. Her flotation pod has been around for 11 years and most likely has the same water in it, that's for sure! You could not pay me to return. I thought it would be something different to take my sister here for her birthday, terrible decision. First we went in the salt room that was highly recommended. It was cold and we were in there with 4 other people in chairs that were so uncomfortable it felt like we were sitting on a piece of plywood. Ok maybe the salt room was not for us but we were so excited for the "Floatation Therapy Tub"... The birthday gal went first. The sessions were 1 hour each at $74.00. My sister came out in less than 20 minutes. She told me to go in the room and tell her what it smells like. I walked in the room and was immediately met with an overwhelming body odor smell. I have 3 boys who play football, it was worse than the drive homes after practice on 90 degree nights with all 3 of them! The room had used towels on the floor and a "Shower" to rinse yourself that had a brownish red substance in the corners of the shower that was running into the middle. The worst part of it is when she told me to open the pod.... There was viable chunks, large chunks of hair floating in the tub and on the sides of the tub. The "jet" button was corroded, there was some floating squishy thing, maybe chlorine? I hope it was chlorine but I highly doubt it. The it was "purple" but it had white blotches, I presume bleach stains on several spots. Looks like it was the only one and was a few years old. I picked of this thing and was again met with a horrific stench, clumps of hair, and a substance that looked similar to curdled milk. I thought it was potentially salt but I put a piece between my fingers and it was slippery, slimy, and smelled like mold, vomit, and wet sweat. The pod was a small cesspool, in all seriousness it should be marketed as a "Cesspod".. I have never in my life been so disgusted in a wellness spa. We never entered the pod, gathered our things, and headed out before I voiced my experience to the girl at the front desk. She was kind but assured me the pod was cleaned after every use. Then was able to speak with the owner who does not even live in the state. Sue again assured me the pod gets cleaned after every use. The amount of filth that was in, around, in the water, tells a very, very different story. The hair... the clumps of hair... the stench of the room, the brown substance in the shower, the slimy, chunky, vomit squish thing. The plastic plywood, pokey netting well used beach chairs in the "group" salt room (which group session was never mentioned), literally everything. The owner went on to tell me since it is a small businesss they are not able to issue a refund but offered 2 free 30 minute massages only good for during the week because the weekends are the busy time. She did not even sound surprised, almost as if this is normal and she had excuses for everything. Not once did she apologize. I believe she feels if she speaks gentle and kind that should offset the atrocious experience. Never in my life have I been so disgusted with a wellness spa. $208.00 and a ruined birthday later, I can confidently say I will never return and politely declined the free 30 minute massages. I can already imagine how unsanitary those massage tables are. The owner should be ashamed of herself, I have no idea how this place is still allowed to remain open. If any health officials come across this review, I strongly urge you to schedule an inspection immediately.

The staff immediately greeted me with genuine hospitality and made sure I felt comfortable and informed about everything before starting. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The facility itself is extremely clean, modern, and well maintained. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which makes it easy to relax the second you walk through the door. Everything looks high-quality and organized, and it's obvious they put a lot of effort into creating a premium experience. The cryotherapy session was amazing. It was my first time trying it, and the staff explained the whole process clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The equipment looked top tier and the whole experience felt safe and professionally handled. Afterward I genuinely felt refreshed, energized, and like my body had hit a reset button. What really stood out to me though was the level of customer service. The team here goes above and beyond to make sure every person has a great experience. They answered all my questions, took their time with me, and made the whole visit feel personalized rather than rushed. If you're thinking about trying cryotherapy or a float spa, I would 100% recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in the area and easily one of the best wellness experiences I've had. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

We were also able to do the BioCharger, but quickly learned it's best to leave your phone/wallet on the other side of the room to prevent damage haha. The float experience itself was amazing. A small private room to change and shower, then hop into the tank and float. We had bought the 90min package, which I'd 100% recommend as 60mins (in my opinion) is too short to FULLY deprive yourself of feeling. Personally, I would also recommend to instead purchase an individual float package. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the couple experience, but we both agreed it would have been much much more "depriving" without anyone else in the tank. The water was barely ever still, and it was easy to bump into each other. Overall, what an awesome way to destress and get away from the world for some time. It is truly an experience one should try at least once. Thanks!

Shannon set up my appointment and greeted me when I first walked in. We spoke about how long I would go for. I changed into a robe, and slippers, in their beautiful changing room and I locked up my belongings in a locker. I entered the suite and was told about the ear plugs, which they had 2 different types. I preferred the blue ones which were attached to a string and went behind my neck. I liked that they fit inside my ear perfectly to block the water during my soak. Shannon directed me to shower prior to entering the tank. Right next to the tank is a stool that contained a small spray water bottle . This is to use, in case of salt getting into your eyes. You enter the tank completely naked. There is no reason to wear a swimsuit. The first thing I noticed was that my breathing seemed to change inside the tank. I didn't really think about it, but I also noticed that my lips were very dry as well. The temperature of the water was almost 96 degrees which is the temperature as the surface of my skin. I noticed that inside the tank seemed humid which made taking a breath difficult at first. I think it gave me a little anxiety. I was able to open up the door and as soon as I did that, I was fine. Right away I talked myself into calming down and I started to breath normally. I listened to wonderful soothing music and there were small twinkle lights right above in the ceiling. I completely calmed down and was able to close my eyes. I placed the blue halo behind my head to keep my head floating. It was very comfortable. I might have even drifted off to sleep. I got out of the tank, prior to my time being up. I took a quick shower to rinse off the epsom salts and washed my hair. I ended up soaking for 45 minutes which turned out to be just enough time. It went by quickly. The first benefit I noticed was how relaxed I felt. My migraine headache was gone and I felt amazing. also was extremely thirsty so Shannon gave me a bottle of water. I got dressed and blew my hair dry with the most amazing blow dryer. The blow dryer was something that might be used in a fancy salon. I loved it. Honestly I felt as though I was in a fancy spa. My experience was truly amazing and I will definitely be returning. My session was $55 for 45 minutes and was worth it. My body felt amazing.

I did some research to find that you go into 10" deep water that has 1000+ lbs of epsom salts in it. It's anti-gravity, so you float without effort. It's meant to be meditative, relieve anxiety, and assist in pain relief and improved sleep. You can float in a swimsuit or your birthday one (which helps increase the goal of sensory deprivation, as the swimsuit can take on a temperature different than your skin and the water temp). I like... the privacy of the rooms where you get your own float pod, shower (for before and after), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels. The water temp is supposed to be 94F to match the temp of your skin, but at times, it felt a little cooler than that. Options in the pod to change the color of the light to any color of the rainbow, or shut it off completely, which I tried for the back half of my float! It did take a while to find the light switch at the end of the session, LOL. Option also to close the pod doors or leave them ajar. I closed mine after a few minutes. The prep room is available for use after you're done floating and showering. I used the hair dryer and leave in conditioner. The complimentary amenities are so nice, including hair ties, Q tips, deodorant, and individually wrapped brushes/combs! Afterwards, I had some ginger tea and tried out the oxygen room, where I got to sample the lavender orange one. I could have fallen asleep in there! I wish... I didn't bump into the sides of the pod as much as I did, LOL. I'm not even that tall. Can't imagine someone 6' or taller fitting into this, but I was told the pods are 7', and a former Bears player who's 6'9" made due. I wonder... how the long lasting benefits of float therapy can help me. It's supposed to lead to a good night's sleep, so I'm looking forward to that! I met Murphy upon my first arrival to True Rest. He was very pleasant and has owned the spa with his sister for the past 1.5 years. I spent over 2 hours there, and it was very relaxing! Felt like I was transported to another world.
