Been here multiple times, always a great experience! Staff are kind and helpful! The tank is relaxing and it always feels good to disconnect from the world for an hour.

    Owner's response to my review

a week ago NEW I was surprised with my experience. I approached the desk and the representative just stared at me no greeting. I stated I have an appointment at 6pm and gave my name. She asked if I'd been there before I answered yes. She got up and said a few words I didn't quite understand and I followed her to room#2 that I reserved. She backed out of the room and stated "I said I would get the room set up for you you can have a seat over there. Immediately I felt dumb and uncomfortable and unwelcomed like a child and not spoken to like an adult. I sat waited and requested an additional towel. There was specs of black things floating in my water however I didn't mention it because as I stated I felt uncomfortable with your front desk person. Once my time was up I exited room#2 passed the front desk in which in which the agent was not there I was relieved and hurried out the door. My previous two experiences was not like this. There isn't too many black people visiting here and I feel as though I was judged on how I would be treated because of this and the type hair I have especially with how she just stared at me instead of greeting me. I've purchased credits in advance other wise I wouldn't spend my money here again. I will try the location downtown Chicago next time and hoping for a greater experience. Its been my pleasure sharing my experience across the social media and my experience on yesterday! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!....posting photos of when a business owner doesn't know how to accept criticism and a customer's experience well. I posted a review to Google about my experience. This lady claiming to be the owner has harassed my by phone text messages calling my phone and emailing over my review smh. Such a disgrace.

The most amazing experience. Staff is extremely pleasant and kind. They helped me enjoy this experience and have a moment of peace. Modern, clean and comfortable space. I will return with a membership and invite my circle of love to come here too.

I love love love the location. The young woman at the front desk was very polite and explained things out. I was a bit nervous with this being my first time there but the process was easy peasy. Clean, relaxing, and definitely worth the trip. I'll be going back soon.

Float Sixty was AMAZING from start to finish! We had a float appointment at 10 am on April 14th and we arrived a bit early to check in and get familiar with everything. Upon arrival, the owner, Gloria, was a star. She was so friendly at the check-in process and we even had a few friends in common (who have also floated!). When we were ready to begin our appointment she explained everything about the studio with such pride. You can tell by her enthusiasm that she is passionate about her work. She showed us the cryotherapy chamber which looked insane cool, literally. She also showed us where we would go after our float to freshen up. This area had fantastic products for men and women to use post float (Dyson hair dryer, Living Proof hair products). She showed us the bathroom, which was actually super gorgeous and had cleverly placed fish all over the walls. She explained the lounge space for our final stop post float. It was filled with a little couch, books, and pillows. Finally, we moved on to the float chambers. She took us in to see the giant float tank which is for more experienced floaters, but looked very inviting nonetheless. Next, we moved on to the regular float pools. There are three of these pool chambers in the studio. She explained the amenities inside which included a vinegar ear wash, q-tips, Vaseline, makeup remover wipes, and ear plugs. She led us in to the shower area to show us how to rinse before and after the float. She explained the lights and motion sensors and then let us each have our privacy. The float itself was absolutely wonderful. That's the only way I can explain it. I have a handful of health issues and not a single one ailed me while I floated peacefully. The water was the perfect temperature and my skin felt like silk the whole time. I left the light on maybe ten minutes before I got brave and just turned them all off. I then was just calm for the remainder of the time. Your mind goes into blankness and it is beyond relaxing. Had I not just woken up an hour beforehand, I probably would have fallen asleep (after a long day of work, FOR SURE!!). When the float was over, I exited the chamber and showered as instructed. There was plenty of towels and a nice robe to be used after you showered as well. I moved into the freshening up space and used some of the products to make myself look presentable to the outside world. Gloria and her assistant brought my husband and I water and some delicious steeped tea. Then we hung in the lounge space a few minutes checking out all the products and Buddha Board. Upon checkout, we decided we for sure need to come back! But the nice thing was, we weren't pressured into purchasing a package or hassled about booking again. The thing is, they don't need to. You WILL be back. You will want that peaceful hour again. I can't wait to book my next float at Float Sixty NWI!!

The staff immediately greeted me with genuine hospitality and made sure I felt comfortable and informed about everything before starting. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The facility itself is extremely clean, modern, and well maintained. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which makes it easy to relax the second you walk through the door. Everything looks high-quality and organized, and it's obvious they put a lot of effort into creating a premium experience. The cryotherapy session was amazing. It was my first time trying it, and the staff explained the whole process clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The equipment looked top tier and the whole experience felt safe and professionally handled. Afterward I genuinely felt refreshed, energized, and like my body had hit a reset button. What really stood out to me though was the level of customer service. The team here goes above and beyond to make sure every person has a great experience. They answered all my questions, took their time with me, and made the whole visit feel personalized rather than rushed. If you're thinking about trying cryotherapy or a float spa, I would 100% recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in the area and easily one of the best wellness experiences I've had. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

So we decided to try the couples one. Right now they only have one chamber but from my understanding they are in the process of obtaining another one. But honestly, it doesn't matter. Alex is like the nicest person you'll ever meet and makes sure you're extremely comfortable with the process as well as the atmosphere. Upstairs has a private bathroom and another device I haven't tried yet but intend to. The chamber fits two people more than comfortably. This may sound stupid (because the entire point is sensory deprivation) but after my first experience, I just wanted a very dim light (when they say 'pitch black' that is not an exaggeration). They do have them but you don't have to use them. They also have meditation music if you want it but don't have to. The showers are much nicer than the last place I went to. I loved it so much! I thought my husband was just doing this just to check a box but he actually said he wants to do it again. That surprised me. If I had a fancy job-thing I'd do this often. The only recommendation I have is stickers on the shower dispensers saying 'shampoo' and 'body wash'. Granted, Alex told me what they were but I forgot. :) I also never realized this little hidden 'downtown' area existed. it seems like all of the small business are there for each other as they advertise for one another. I think that is baller (yes, I'm 45 and still use the word 'baller'...and what?) We hit up the coffee shop that apparently has a concert venue upstairs. I wish they had a website but still, this is way more valuable real estate than I would have ever imagined.

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

After learning more about the parasympathetic nervous system, I came across sensory deprivation floating as something to try - enter Float Sixty. Honestly, I was skeptical at first - would I be paying a lot of money to float in a big tub with the lights off and earplugs in? Would I even be able to relax, and for a whole hour? Well, I'm here on Yelp to tell you it was a wonderful and soothing experience. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed and (since it was my first time floating) everything was explained thoroughly. I had float suite 2, which has its own shower and comes equipped with essentials like ear plugs. I ended up wearing a bathing suit and didn't feel it impeded my experience - it actually helped me feel more comfortable. Part of the time I was able to relax and float in silence, and the rest of the time I played relaxing tones/music from my phone which I really enjoyed but do not recommend bringing the phone into the chamber since it will accumulate salt. I wish there was an ambient light option and speaker option in the chamber to customize the experience but I understand that defeats the sensory deprivation idea. After the session, there are other rooms to relax in, and a vanity table with toiletries and a hair dryer. Unfortunately almost all of the hair products were empty so that was a bummer. There's also water and tea available after your session, and the tea was actually quite delicious. I would definitely recommend Float Sixty and will definitely be back for another session.

The bathrooms and prep area are located before you enter the door to the pods. You do a quick rinse then you enter the pod. Be sure to have a towel and water bottle close by in case you need to wipe the salt off your face. When you get into the pod, you can close the lid or keep it open/partially open. You can also change the color of the lights or have it completely off. I didn't see the part about changing the music because Krista told me that she controls it. I didn't hear any music during my session. The water is very shallow so there is no way you can drown. There is also a pillow like flotation device that you can rest your head on. After your 60 mins, take a shower to wash off all of the salt. You'll know your time is up when the water starts moving. You can enjoy the oasis room after you finish getting ready. I didn't get a chance to try the tea that everyone is talking about. Krista said she "broke it" so only water was available. After reading other Yelpers' reviews, it seemed like Krista was too lazy to give us tea. The oxygen bar was relaxing. I tried the uplifting one which contained peppermint. Their official website, Google, and Yelp all say they close at 10 pm. I have attached a picture. However, Krista was kind of rushing us and it was only 9:15 pm. She also cut my girlfriend's oxygen bar experience short. Mine was 10 mins and my girlfriend's was 5 mins. Customer service was lacking towards the end, not sure if she was in a hurry to close up. I would definitely do this again. I recommend not to rush your customers and to not close up shop before the posted closing time. Experience itself was a 5. Customer service was like a 3.5.
