The cozy slippers were a nice touch! My massage therapist took the time to ask about my concerns (stiff shoulders and neck) and checked in throughout to make sure the pressure was right. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, dim lighting, peaceful music, and even a heated table. By the end, I sincerely felt so much better. She also showed me a few simple stretches I can do at home, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Laura! I'll definitely be back and am excited to try more of their services. We did to want to do the nude portion of the spa. We spent four hours at King Spa. WE checked out all the rooms plus the ICE room. It was so relaxing and I did fall asleep a few times. Upstairs they have the Meditation rooms . Those rooms are the Oxygenated room and an infra red room. On the first floor they have a theater room, a salt room, a gold room, a sun room, a charcoal room, other rooms and a cafeteria area. You can also pay for a massage. Most of the massages were 60 minutes for 120$. I will definitely go back and take my husband there on a date. Love it!

Look, I think it's important to pay people a good wage and I value spa services, but these just seemed high.

She carefully used the skin protecting balm around my hairline to protect my skin from staining. She also evaluated my previous single process color done at LifeSpa-Northbrook and we chatted on my likes/dislikes. Unfortunately the previous stylist at LifeSpa-Northbrook do not enter colors in the computer system and when I asked the Manager at LifeSpa Northbrook, her idiotic response was: " ...it's like you asking for the formula of a Tiffany perfume!"---Really??!! EXCEPT that formula is ON MY HEAD!! Atorena was very reassuring and explained that a good colorist can evaluate hair and match color very well or even gradually change it if one feels it needs to. She carefully mixed, saturated my naturally curly hair with color and used a plastic cap to cover the hair. The results were terrific. My grey coverage was even and precise without stains on my face/neck/skin like previous at Northbrook LifeSpa salon. Her rinsing off the color and shampoo/conditioning process was very good to ensure no residual color remains on my scalp!---Lifetime Northbrook salon shampooing is a hit or miss making it impossible to enjoy a blowout without an itchy, color ridden scalp! She also said she will enter color in the computer system. Her blow dry was beautiful. She is very masterful with the Round Brush Technique after I showed a photo of how I like volume and bounce at ends. During her blow-dry, she did not pull my hair and it seemed effortless. I cannot believe how great ALL of the staff were to my staff at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics from the Chicago office last weekend. Our bosses treated us to a spa day. In which Lifetime offered us the day to use as a membership pass. We not only had an excellent spa treatment, but we also were able to use their basketball courts, workout area, sauna, pool, etc. We were even given complimentary treats after our Spa treatment. The manager from the Spa, Tayag Nikko, was very polite and accommodating for our needs. He went above and beyond what I expected as a non member for this health club. I truly appreciate every staff member at this location and would like to return someday as a member with my staff, family and friends. Thank you again for a memorable experience that will go in the books forever!

I have belonged to this fitness center on and off for 15 years and am a huge fan…read more No, it is not a deluxe health club and spa facility, it is a good, basic gym with everything you need to get a fine workout: plenty of cardio and weight machines, exercise mats, jump ropes and other tools for calisthenic work. There are freshly laundered towels and a basic locker room with showers. The water fountains are cold and there are hanging TVs that are tuned to radio frequencies so you can watch and listen to a variety of TV shows. The price is $75/month, or something like $60/month if you pay the annual fee. All in all, pretty good value for access to all that equipment. There is also childcare available for $6 up to an hour and a half, which seems pretty cheap to me, especially given that so many people rave about its quality. They have started offering a few group fitness classes, but I can't speak to those other than by saying that all the classes are early morning, and there isn't much variety. I am not giving it five stars because I think its day pass rate is expensive ($15) and wish it provided a punch card option for people who can't work out regularly, but would nevertheless like occasional access to the gym. I would also like more variety of fitness classes (spinning?). Nevertheless, I recommend this to anyone looking for a low-key, no-fuss gym.

There's also a small slide for the little guys as well as some water spray features. My 3 year old loves zero depth entry pools so he was thrilled. There's also a second pool that was deep enough for my stepkiddo to get her swim on. There were three lap pool lanes open as well. Again, the hours for all this is on the website. The staff is kinda meh. The woman working the desk was not sure what was going on but the life guards were nice. The locker rooms are nicer than I was expecting. There's also a couple family shower/bathrooms which is nice. Bring a lock and towels!

I have been to several other Lifetime properties in the Chicagoland area and this is in my top 5 locations. The staff is great as well as the trainers that work there. You can tell business is good when you rarely see a trainer solo. Instead they are working with clients, training away. I do find it strange that the GM trains some people as he's taking away from his other trainers. The folks at the Cafe are wonderful and friendly as well. Let's not forget about the workers at the Daycare! Doreen, Wilma and their crew all work their tail off taking care of the babies, toddlers and kids. God bless em.
