Excellent Service and competitively priced. Quick reaction to an in person estimate and back with a quote same day. They did some serious pruning on a row of Privets that have been a problem. The birds eat the berries and leave droppings all over our deck and barbecue. They also removed two large branches that extended over our neighbor's yard from an old Ash tree. All of the pruning had to be done around a maze of wires (Not high power wires). That was a concern to me and they made it look easy. They left the property in impeccable condition. This will be the company that I use for our home and rental property from now on. We have used several other tree services before and we either were not happy with the job or they were too expensive in comparison to this Tree service. read more

During our recent two day project we had our 100 year old Redwood, giant Sequoia and incense Cedar cleared of dead wood and week branches. We included pruning, shaping, and trimming our Bay laurels, horse Chestnut, tulip Magnolia and Hawthorn trees. In addition, our red tip Photinia hedge and bushes, several Nandina and Pittosporum were all pruned and shaped. Finally, our three story tall palms were shaved, pruned and cleaned. We would highly recommend Sophisticated Tree Services because of Jair's knowledge of overall tree and plant health. His crew made the process stress free. They used excellent working conditions, proper use of tools and equipment and showed very good safety standards. They handled all the challenges we gave them. I have had major tree pruning and removal done at my house two times now through Jair Bustos at Sophisticated Tree Services. The crew is outstandingly professional, courteous, and hard work and the results are impeccable. ! I have had an old oak tree pruned and shaped to open up the view from my deck and bedrooms. I have had a huge tree removed from where it was growing up through an opening in my carport roof and next to the PGE power lines. I have had cherry trees pruned, and Toyons pruned and ivy removed to save a large tree above my house that was being choked and pulled dangerously toward my roof. Each of these efforts required precision work on a fairly steep hillside with fences and rooflines to consider. We needed about a dozen tall redwoods limbed up & away from structures per the proposed upcoming "Zone 0" requirements, 3 old fruit trees removed, and the neighbors 6'-8' overgrowth into our yard trimmed back the entire length (+/- 300ft) of our country property. He staffed his crew to enable this to be completed in one day. The last company we hired to limb up our "trophy redwood" said we'd have to dig up the plants we don't want crushed, Jair's team gently lowered the limbs & carried them over the plants. Jair returned my call quickly, showed up on time, gave me a price a lot lower than the others and did the work so much better than I could have imagined! the yard is free of all tree debris. The crew was really friendly, professional, wore all the appropriate safety apparatus and worked very efficiently to remove 2 huge branches-one eucalyptus and one very large pine. This is the 2nd year that I've used them to clear cut the large hill behind my house to comply with fire regulations. They responded promptly to my email request to schedule for a Saturday and did a great job again! They have upgraded their equipment to be all electrical and it is much quieter and performs equally as well as gas powered equipment, and is better for the environment. My neighbor has also used them and had a very positive experience with them on his portion of our very steep hill. He began the job earlier than planned, 20 minutes or so, no problem, and pruned a mature walnut tree, and a mature hawthorn in my front yard.
