Great service at a reasonable price. Tree looks amazing! Professional and polite workers. Definitely recommend.

There is a reason Slaters get nothing but perfect reviews! Will and the Slaters team do great work, are professional and thoughtful. I needed a stump removed in our backyard before we lay new sod. Will came out and checked out the location and size of the stump. We had decided that someone from his team would come out the following weekend. Well as luck would have it the weather forecast was not in our favor. Will was able to send someone out early to get the stump ground out before the rain came. The results are fantastic, we wanted to keep the shavings to mix into the top soil. I couldn't even clearly find the location where the stump had been even the big roots were all gone! read more

In October 2025, I contacted Dino to trim the overgrown branches on a tree in my Santa Rosa backyard. Dino gave me a very fair estimate, he was there to do the work on time, and his cleanup was perfect. Would definitely use Dino and Slater Tree Care again. read more

These guys are the very best! On August 24th our patio tree snapped and the limb almost hit me. I called our regular tree service along with a couple others and everyone said they could not come out it until late September. I called Dino at Slater and he came out yesterday morning to assess the job. We had discussed removing the tree and the Slater crew showed up this morning to remove the tree - less than 48 hours after the tree split! They cleaned up everything and were done with the entire job in four hours. I highly recommend them and they Slaters will be our go to tree company from now on. Kristin in Santa Rosa read more

This is the second time we have used Slaters Tree! We are very pleased with the quality of service Dino's crew delivered. We have had a lot of work done over the past 2 years including redwood tree removal and a whole fence line of huge eucalyptus trimmed. Also they were so receptive to my showing what I wanted trimmed in my landscaped yard. They just did it! So, if you want a tree trimming for service Slaters is a great choice. Really fair price for the work they did. read more

Dino was quick to respond and come out for a quote. He brought a skid steer to do some excavating/grading in the backyard which included filling in what looked like a crater in the backyard from a prior doughboy pool. I was most impressed with how thorough he was as there were a few times I thought he was done but he would say I'm going to work on that area a little more. Absolutely beautiful when he was done, the yard has a 4-5' difference in elevation and while it had a big crater and lots of swails throughout, it was just a natural clean smooth grade everywhere when he was done. Equipment in great shape, Dino was easy to talk to and I look forward to calling him for future tree needs at my house. read more

Dino came out to see the 6 big trees that needed pruning. His quote was very competitive. His crew arrived right on time and got to work. They took photos of everything they had to move....garden furniture, potted plants, etc.... to avoid breakage from falling branches. This enabled them to replace everything in the right spots at the end of the day, The crew were all experienced, very professional, concerned with esthetics and tree health. They were all very pleasant and easy to work with. All the trees look beautiful. I highly recommend Slaters for your tree service needs. read more

Slaters is my go-to tree service in Sonoma County! I recommend them 100%! They are professional, experienced, hard-working and do not leave until the job is finished and completely cleaned up! A pleasure to work with! Dino, Jesus, Charley and the whole crew was amazing! read more

Slaters Tree Service did a wonderful job for us. Dino came out and provided a very fair quote to remove multiple bamboo trees and cut a co-dominant branch off of a young redwood. The team came out on a very rainy day and swiftly removed all of the bamboo. A few weeks later they brought in a stump grinder and got to the roots as much as possible. Now 10 months later and through the rain and summer months, NO bamboo has grown back which is amazing! Thanks to Slaters, we were able to start with a clean slate to transform our backyard. I would highly recommend them. read more

I can't sing Dino's praises enough. He was professional, on time and gave expert advise. His guys expertly trimmed the trees and cleaned up the yard beautifully. In addition, I alerted him that our neighbors were unfriendly and if there were any issues to let me know. Unfortunately, I was spot on and the neighbor was outside screaming and yelling at the trimmers as well as interfering with their work. Dino handled her himself without issue and was able to calm her down. I definitely recommend this service and Dino! read more

I searched the web and got several bids from different contractors with pricing all over the board. These guys came in with a competitively fair bid on the lower side of all oh f the bids, and already great reviews. I had been looking forward to meeting the owner Will whom I'd spoken with over the phone, but apparently he was under the weather and could not make it. But that did not stop his foreman Jesus and all the crew who were prompt for the appointment and did a timely, safe, and clean job removing a HUGE, dead coniferous standing at least 70 ft or more ( probably more) over my mom's house. They had to remove and replace several huge rocks in the process, plus remove large swaths of chipper sawdust from the property. All that was left amazingly, was a small spray of the sawdustdust afterwards. read more

If I could give Will Slater and his team 10 stars I would! We had a ginormous, 100+ year old, coastal live oak tree overhanging our roof from the neighbors' yard which we loved, but our insurance company hated. So, we hired Will and his team because a) Will was incredibly knowledgeable about our tree, b) walked through the job with me on the phone because I couldn't be on site, c) got me a truly reasonable and complete estimate the same day, and d) had a stellar attitude. Will and his team showed up on time, all the guys were amazing, polite, careful, respectful of property, and funny! It took all day to do the job and required climbing really freaking high into the canopy, using a cherry picker to get the outside branches, and then they cut the limbs into reasonable chunks (not free, people) to leave with the neighbor. Will was very clear about the maximum amount he would remove from the tree to ensure its health and longevity, which I respect and appreciate. The clean-up was pristine - it got dark so Will sent a crew over the next morning to finish up. Awesome. I cannot recommend Slaters Professional Tree Care highly enough. Go ahead and get lots of estimates, but know that the right choice for your job is going to be this amazing team. Will, thank you for everything. I'll recommend you to everyone! read more

We have a 60 year old Cedar that's never been pruned and the branches were snapping off. I called three different companies for estimates and chose to use Slater's. Will explained the job clearly, listened to my concerns and quoted an excellent price/timeframe. I hired him on the spot. The crew was amazing, professional and did an awesome job! They did exactly what we discussed and tree looks amazing. I was also impressed by their attention to detail when cleaning up the job. They didn't leave a single branch on the ground. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Will and his company and will be using them again in the future. A++++ all the way. read more

The crew from Slaters Tree care came out to our property in Penngrove and removed several large pine trees for us, all of which were potentially going to fall on our house during the next heavy storm. Jason and company were all very professional, courteous, and did an amazing job. Will definitely be calling them for any future trees we need help with. I always do my research when finding contractors. Sometimes you find companies that are smaller or family-owned that do as good a job as any much larger company, but with prices that are fair and reasonable. Slater's Professional Tree Care is one of those companies. I checked their license and asked for a copy of their liability insurance. The owner, Will, was really quick to respond and all the documentation was verified up to date. Their references looked pretty good too, so I decided to give them a try and to my delight they did a wonderful job trimming my large apple tree. They were fast and efficient and cleaned up after. I'm quite satisfied and would use them again. I highly recommend Slater's Professional Tree Care! read more

Found Will's services on Nextdoor and chose him on a whim. I'm glad I did. He's a super nice standup guy. He came out for an estimate to take down the willow in my front yard and the price was right. The day he came out, him and the other guy in his crew took down the tree quickly and cleaned up afterwards. He was also careful not to damage any of the landscaping surrounding the tree. I can't recommend his tree service enough! read more

Will and his team did some major work on a 150 year old oak tree that had been neglected. They climbed, cut, and then cleaned up everything. He didn't try to stretch my budget like other companies. I have already recommended him to my friends! read more

From start to finish, what a great experience to have Slater's take care of our tree. I sent them a message through their website, got an immediate response to come give an estimate the following day. I received the proposal very quickly, accepted it and they scheduled to come out and take care of our tree. All the guys were respectful, polite, careful and understanding. Everything was left better than when they arrived. I strongly recommend them, you will not be disappointed. Leslie Wilson read more

Yesterday, 10-13-2021, Slater's Professional Tree Care came to our home and did an incredible job trimming (and more) the badly overgrown oaks with branches touching our roof, plus various other trees on our property. Speaking with each friendly person, it was obvious they have a lot of "tree knowledge" and enjoy their work. Before they began they moved potted plants and patio furniture, something that had not even occurred to me, and when they finished they replaced everything. Before they left, they even took away every last twig and leaf! I highly recommend Slater Professional Tree Care to everyone in need of help with their trees. read more

We immediately hired them for several more jobs on our property. I highly recommend them!! read more

Dino, Will and the guys did heavy pruning yesterday on 5 large old live oaks in my yard, as well as taking down a smaller dying oak. I have used them before, and always find them on time, well-coordinated as they work, cheerful, efficient and excellent in bringing out the beauty of the old trees while preserving the health of them. When they first arrived, I happened to show one of the guys a huge bamboo root clump I was trying to dig out and mentioned it would be great if they could find the time to help with it (I had it partially loosened but couldn't do the rest). I didn't mention it again, but when I walked around the property after they had left, six hours later, it was out! They raked thoroughly, stacked the firewood, dumped the chips exactly where I wanted them etc. I'll definitely use them again. read more

We highly recommend Slater's Professional Tree Care. Will and his crew topped and thinned our redwood trees with extreme care as to not damage the sprinkler system and plants below. Will always trims trees with the thought of how the final product will look. They arrive on time, are reasonably priced and will go the extra mile to please you. Our yard was totally cleaned when they left. We will certainly call them again for all our tree needs. read more

Slater's Tree Care - Will climbing the tree to remove a dead branch - Tree Services Near Me - Rohnert Park, California

Was looking for someone to cut down my mom's cork tree. We found a couple other companies but they wanted a little too much or they didn't have insurance. I found Slater's Professional Tree care on yelp and decided to call him for an evaluation. He set up a time that worked for everyone and was very communicative, and never left us guessing what was happening. When him and his two workers showed up, they got right to work without hesitation. They were friendly and easy going and we had no doubt they knew what they were doing. While taking down the tree I noticed they worked great together to make sure things ran smoothly, such as being sure the tree limbs were secure before letting them glide to the ground by being tied to a rope and another guy on the bottom to receive the tree limb. Also the tree had apparently grown into our neighbors border fence, but they carefully made sure to still cut down the tree and not harm her fence. My mom and I were amazed at the wonderful work they did, and was able to do it all including clean up within an hour and half. If we need another tree cut down, we will be sure to contact them, and from my personal opinion, anyone who hires them for a job should be equally happy from the work they do. read more

I had such an amazing experience with Slater tree care. I have a huge oak tree in my backyard that I have been trying to have pruned for quite some time. Each company I called either didn't call me back or didn't show up as promised. I talked to William, the owner on Sunday, and we set up a time and date for today. The bid he gave me was very competitively priced. He and his crew showed up on time, prepared and far exceeded my expectations for the job. They were all very professional, very polite, engaged with my son and my dogs, took care of the tree in a very timely manner, and cleaned up everything wonderfully before they left. Will definitely be using this company for all my needs moving forward and will highly recommend anyone else. read more

During the recent wind event and fires part of a redwood tree came through our roof. The tree also made a huge mess in the yard. There were pieces everywhere. I called Will and he came out that same day to give me a quote. The quote he gave was fair. It was even more than fair, as he promised to come back later that day, and clean the whole mess up, not in a week or two weeks, THAT DAY! I have a crazy dog, and asked him to call first before he arrived, which he did each time. It didn't take him very long, and he had cleaned up the roof, the tree, the back and the front yard's removing every single trace of the redwood mess. He was quick, efficient and professional. He also took a look at a few other trees on our property when I asked about their health etc. We have 1/4 acre and 16 fruit trees, plus a huge oak and some giant bays.
