Cornflake crusted French toast side of bacon Avocado toast Mimosas Coffee
    Adina B.

Made a reservation for brunch to sit on the cafe side of the restaurant which faces out to Newbury St. the tables in this section are small bistro style for parties of 2 only. We were seated quickly and our waitress was was friendly and attentive. I ordered the cornflake French toast w/ berries and a side of bacon. The French toast was delicious, crispy and flavorful. The berries were a little lack luster - the strawberries were either once frozen or sat in a syrup too long, a bit mushy. The bacon was a bit thin and didn't come hot. My daughter ordered the avocado toast w/ a poached egg and a side of potatoes. The avocado toast was delicious and fresh, the egg nice and runny. The potatoes a bit lackluster - just frozen potatoes fried up plain. Two mimosas were nice and the coffee was good. Overall a decent place for brunch for the location.

While visiting my college girl and nephew in Boston, we planned to go to brunch before I caught my flight back to Chicago.Usually, I like to take charge of where we dine, but she took the lead in this one. And she didn't disappoint. We arrived to a busy Sonsie at about 12:30 on a Sunday, about 15 minutes before our res, and surprisingly, we were seated right away. When I say this place was busy, I mean it was packed. Although we weren't seated in the cute, front section with theater-style seating facing bustling Newberry Street, we did get a high-top across from the bar. Our server, Tyler, came over promptly and walked us through the menu and took our orders. I had a Bloody Mary and a Croque Monsiuer; my daughter had the Ginger Crush mocktails and a breakfast sandwich; my nephew had the French toast. Our food arrived quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. Sonsie is definitely a vibe with and the place-to-be for brunch and they have clearly mastered how to work the brunch crowd quickly and efficiently, while watching up delicious eats. Can't wait to go back!

AVOCADO TOAST WAGYU BURGER EGGS BENEDICT

Food was amazing, no notes. Eggs cooked perfectly. Highly recommend the wagyu burger - best burger I've had in a long time. Ambiance was great - on a nice day, the patio doors were open, and the seating is really nice where you don't feel squished against other tables. Being on Newbury makes for a nice day to walk in the city before/after eating. Service was great, nothing to complain about! Would come back here to eat again.

Perfect spot for brunch! They had a great menu with a variety of options. I got their croque monsieur with fries and my fiancé got the avocado toast with smoked salmon. Both were very good and filling. We sat in their cafe section that overlooks Newbury street. It was very nice to people watch as we enjoyed our food. Our server was nice and attentive and made sure we had all we needed. I really liked the artwork they had inside and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Definitely will be back.

    MARGARITA PIZZA

Ok food, pretty disappointing service. After we got seated we waited 20 minutes to place our order. We told them that we wanted to share the pizza and salad and have it served at the same time. The salad came out way earlier than the pizza and once the pizza came they failed to provide share plates even though they placed both dishes in the middle of the table. The margarita pizza had a pathetic amount of basil and was mediocre overall. The cappuccino had an exorbitant amount of foam that further demonstrated the restaurant's inability to meet their advertised expectations. One of the only shining lights was the feta watermelon salad which was pleasant. After we finished the food it took 30 minutes and conversations with other waiters to finally get the check. When the check was given a waiter gave us a card to give a review and then our waitress promptly removed the card as the other waiter walked away to probably avoid having us write this review. The ambience is loud and I can appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the restaurant. However, seated towards the back it was difficult to take in what makes Sonsie somewhat worth going to, 2.5 stars.

    Lobster Rangoon nachos

The host told us that we could get the aperol spritz tower, even with three people, and then we got there and could only get the pitcher instead. European style dining where you're faced out to the road/passerby's. The lobster Rangoon nachos were good, but after the aperol spritz debacle, we decided to go somewhere else instead for the remainder of our girls' night.

Seated is without menus, had to ask after 30 minutes, 10 minutes in was given water at the table. One member of our part ordered late and well after all of the other food came out including his salad, the burger arrived after we inquired. Don't be fooled in the vegetable section the "bonito" flakes are indeed dried tuna. "Vegetable" dies not mean vegetarian friendly :( The peppers were good but didn't have much flavor, the tempura was very very good and the sauce was delicious. The BEST dish of the night were the spring rolls. Very very good, and the pizza had a fluffy crust with ample cheese.

Terrible service. Waited so long for a waiter and did not come. There was this lady waitress that kept looking at us when it was clear we needed help and just kept walking away with attitude, pretending she didn't see us. However, the food was decent.

A great spot for a date night dinner on Newbury St.! Came here for an anniversary dinner, and the servers were very friendly. We tried the Calamari (5/5), Kung Pao Cauliflower (4/5), Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger (5/5 maybe I was craving a good burger but this just hit the spot), the Bolognese (5/5 well executed for a simple dish), and the Cheesecake (which we got for free, though I'm not a huge cheesecake person so it's hard to tell how good it was). Overall great eats and night!

    chicken parmesan sandwich

Everything was great. I got the Chicken Parm sandwich and it was super filling and tasty. Everything from the appetizers to mains were great!

I went early (9:30am when it opened) and managed to snag a window seat on Valentine's saturday without a reservation. Ordered the steak and eggs and mimosas, the drinks came out fast but the hollandiase on the steak was a bit cold/the meal got cold fast due to the windows.

    Hilariously overpriced $20 burrata "salad"

Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance.
