Went here this morning with an early appointment. Only had to wait a minute or two. The facility is super clean and the Phlebotomist was professional and skilled. No walk-ins so you have to make an appointment. Monica was very kind and was able to squeeze me in early which was very helpful. I'm a big guy with deep veins so I was expecting a minimum of 3 pokes but Monica took her time to find a good vein and got it on her first try. She made everything about the visit quick and painless. I actually really like this office. I needed to do bloodwork on a Saturday and this was the only place I was able to get an appointment. Yes, this office is by appointment only. This is not a walk-in office which I like. The waiting area was nice and cozy and so was the little lab area. I was in and out of this office in under 20 minutes and I had two different lab orders to do. I will stick to these offices in the Safeway locations from now on as they seem friendlier and quicker than the other offices. read more

The appointment process was easy. Got an appointment the next day. This bloodwork was on a 2 year old. They got us right in They we're gentle as possible with a squirming baby. The ladies talked to the baby to calm her. They seemed very caring. read more

Took my teen in for blood work. Appointment was easy to make online, clear instructions etc. The staff was wonderful. They spoke to my teen and explained step by step what was happening, I felt that was very respectful for the patient vs just taking to the parent. My teen became very light headed/dizzy after getting blood drawn. Staff was so patient, gentle, caring and assuring to my teen that all was well and there was no rush to stand up. They made sure it was safe before my teen stood and walked out and calmed my teens embarrassment. I really appreciate their professionalism and sincere care they gave. Normally I could come here and get my blood work in and out no problem today was a different story 2 lab techs and 5 people total waiting.... 1-5 hours later I'm still not drawn I am number 3. One tech drawing but not sure what She's doing because the doesn't know where labels go and the other slow as heck and hasn't drawn one person just processing paperwork. Now I am a lab tech myself and if I worked this slowly I would be fired. This is the worst I've ever seen it and I will never recommend this location ever again. I got here at 8 am with 2 people ahead of me and it's 930 and I still have not been called. If I could give them a negative score I would. read more

For such a small location and small number of patients the staff has no clue what they are doing.

Social distancing is chairs 2 feet apart, too many people in the waiting area and no hand sanitizer available to patients.

I will NEVER come back! I took my son for his 1 year old blood draw and my poor boy was traumatized. They had 2 phlebotomists in the room, the first inserted the needle and couldn't find his vein. She DUG AROUND IN MY 1 YEAR OLDS ATM WITH THE NEEDLE for a good 60 seconds before switching with the other phlebotomist who dug around for another 30 seconds before determining they were under the vein completely. They had to remove and try again on the other side. They try again and had to dig around some more but managed to find the vein 20 seconds later and draw some blood. I get a call the next day saying there wasn't enough blood to complete the tests. Are you kidding me?! I spoke to a few different managers who all sang the same "I apologize, I will use this as a training experience. Can I help schedule your next appointment?" tune. Neither my baby or myself will be returning to ANY Sonora Quest location. read more

Went to Sonora Quest to pick up a 24 urine container and all they gave me was a container. I am a female, how am I supposed to get my urine in a gallon urine container? Also, was very hectic in the small waiting area. SRO with no guidelines as to wait behind any area due to HPPA, so everyone was close to each other and overheard their personal information. read more

I had a very pleasant experience. The gal behind the counter greeted me immediately & got me all signed in. They even chatted with my son, which was very sweet. I got called back within 10 minutes of arriving. This probably took longer than usual as I had an extensive workout that was requested & lots of labels needed to be organized. Michelle, who did the blood draw, was very friendly & helped ease my anxiety over all those tubes. Very well done! I haven't received results yet, as my visit was just yesterday.. so I can't speak on the efficiency of results yet. But, as for the lab experience, it was great! Edit: 6/11/2017 Due to not storing blood at correct temperatures, I had to go back and redo some of the testing. It was very inconvenient & should never have happened. Changing from 5 star to 2 star. I decided to go to a different Sonora Quest location & so far I'm getting my results (not all are in yet). read more

Breanna was a great tech: organized, effective and friendly. She brought me back early for fasting blood work ordered by my doctor and I was waving goodbye before my scheduled appt time. Her technique was excellent. I'd never used one of these inside-supermarket places and found it to be top-notch, brand new and pleasant. Close by my house and I'll use them again. read more

So slow!! I HATE getting lab work done. Sonora Quest is the only lab my insurance covers, and I have yet to find a location that doesn't leave you waiting for an unnecessarily long period of time. I came into the waiting room 30 minutes ago with two people ahead of me. I now sit here with 4 other people - granted, two people came in with appointments and have gone ahead of me. That's fair. However, there are two people that draw blood, and in 30 minutes, they have managed to draw blood on 4 people (a 5 minutes process). Most of the time I have been here, one of the two phlebotomists has been sitting in a chair like she's waiting for something, but will eventually extract herself and call the next person. Such a colossal waste of time! read more

I have been going to this location 39th Av & Happy Valley ever since they opened. The girls are friendly and it does not take me much time at all for the full process. The have even installled a log in comoputer to use when you first arrive. I prefer going to this location because it is very close to my house and I get in & out fairly fast. This morning I visited this location with my sister and 19 month old niece for her first time having labs drawn. We also had my infant nephew with us in his car seat. Naturally my sister was nervous for this experience and when it was our turn to go into the room to have her labs drawn the woman at the front desk, Jody, very rudely stated to us that one of us was going to have to stay out of the room because two adults, a baby, and the phlebotomist were not going to all fit and basically gave us an ultimatum to decide who was going to go in to support her and who would have to stay out of the room. Mina, the phlebotomist, that was drawing my nieces labs must have seen the worry in my sister's eyes and immediately invited all of us into the room together despite the rude request from the front desk for one of us to stay out. Mina was AMAZING from the beginning to the end. She let one of us hold my 19 month old niece, had amazing bedside manner, got the poke on the first try, was personable and sweet! She made this experience as quick and as easy as possible for everyone involved which is why this Sonora Quest Laboratories gets a 5 Star review! If it weren't for Mina, this would be a one star review because of Jody's demeanor and lack of empathy. Thank you so much, Mina for being so wonderful! read more
