Poor Experience with Long Waits Despite Appointment scheduled…read more I had an appointment scheduled for 7:00 AM today at the Sonora Quest location in Peoria, but it was a frustrating experience from the start. When I arrived, there were already 16 people ahead of me. I didn't get checked in until about 7:10 AM because the line at the kiosk was so long. A big issue I noticed was that many of the people waiting were walk-ins, which seemed to slow everything down for those of us who had actually booked appointments. The staff was polite, but the system clearly wasn't handling the volume well. Suggestion for improvement: Sonora Quest should offer online check-in in addition to the kiosk. This would let scheduled patients confirm their arrival ahead of time, reduce congestion in the waiting area, and help prioritize appointment holders over walk-ins. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience at all today. I understand labs can get busy, especially in the mornings, but with an appointment I expected a much smoother process. I hope they implement better check-in options soon to make visits more efficient for everyone.

Following the advice posted by Breanna B. in her review, I came to this office 30 minutes before…read morethey opened because I was a walk-in, and was second in line. By opening time, the line had extended to near the building's entrance. Check-in was quick because of the digital stations, and I was called in for the blood draw within 20 minutes. In all, I was impressed by the efficiency I experienced during the visit. Because I had problems accessing online results (on my end, not theirs), I called and had difficulty reaching a live person, so I drove to the office to see if I could get a printed copy of the results there. No such luck, they just gave me a sheet of paper with a list of telephone numbers that I had already tried. Knowing that the results were forwarded to my doctor, I drove to the doctor's office and was finally able to get a printed copy of my blood test results there. So my own personal experience is, getting the blood draw procedure done was easy, and if I were not having computer problems, perhaps getting the results might have been easy as well; but I do wish they had a system in place where patients who have difficulty accessing portal results can easily get it from the office in person if needed, or maybe receive a copy by plain regular email.

I said well I can't remember the exact name of the test but... and she cuts me off, "we literally have thousands of tests here I need to know the name" I'm trying to tell her I have a confirmation number from my appointment being scheduled & she can look up the exact name of the test, she keeps saying she needs the name & can't look it up, another (way nicer) lady in the back corrected her saying they have "hundreds of tests not thousands " and I say well if you give me a flyer or something I can point it out. She's huffing and being sarcastic like I'm dumb for not knowing the test name. I say go her let me go to your website one moment and I'll look up the name.. she again is saying how there's so many tests there's no way for her to know. I'm shocked she can't just look it up by my name. Mind you I'm fasting, hungry, no coffee, I have a ton of personal stuff going on & this woman is treating me like trash. I tell her, "there is actually another test I wanted to add, I say you don't have a flyer I can look at?" She rudely says no. Also no one else was there but me, so I was not holding up a line or anything. I tell her again okay one moment let me go to your website. I'm thinking this is ridiculous. She finally says oh, did you say you have an appointment? I say yes that's what I've been trying to tell you. I'm so flustered I can't find the 2nd test on the website. The "nice lady" in the back suggests the 2nd test I may be looking for. The one she suggested was only $50 but the one that I saw at home was $100 so I don't think it was the right one I wanted but I just agree & pay it because I'm so flustered. Once I set back down in the waiting room the rude one goes to playing on her phone as she holds my drivers license (I found that odd and unprofessional) I can also hear the mean girl making fun of people that come in not knowing what they want - WOW . Then the mean one calls my name, she will be the one drawing my blood. GREAT - i thought this horrible woman is going to pull out the biggest needle to use on purpose. SURE ENOUGH. It was the worst most painful draw I've ever experienced. I have donated blood dozens of times. I always get compliments on my veins by medical professionals & they comment how easy it is to draw from me. But for some reason this is the first time in my life it hurt like hell. THEN she has the cruel audacity to hold the needle at an angle . It seemed to take so long I started squeezing the ball even though she told me to release my grip. I did three big squeezes to speed it up as fast as possible it was horrible. Now I have a huge silver dollar sized bruise on my arm and look like a drug addict. Thanks a lot. I had family photos this weekend and had to cover it up awesome. I'm sad about all this because I just discovered this business & was so excited. if you choose to go here I suggest driving out of your way to use any location but Glendale AZ. I hope this review helps the management address training and professionalism so future patients don't have the same experience. EDIT: It's now four days since my appointment . The bruise on my arm is now 3" long and 2" wide. I firmly believe the person who drew my blood did this on purpose out of spite. - also i noticed her playing on the phone with my drivers license when i took my clipboard back, so it was prior to paying. I know it's a minor detail but trying to be as accurate as possible.

I got here at 11:43AM and the door was unlocked, the door from the lobby into the back was left open and no one was up front. She did my drug test despite it being her lunch time. She was really nice and called me "babe."

Also, your sign should be in front of your office rather than in front of your front window. I followed the instructions and dropped off 3078 mL of urine. I know the number because they measured it - and then inexplicably cancelled the test. They didn't inform me. They didn't tell me I would need to repeat the test. They just stopped processing it. Now, I have to repeat the test because someone at Sonora Quest didn't care about doing their job properly. I will never use Sonora Quest again.
