My doctors office has faxed an order 3 times and Sonora Quest still doesn't have it. Last week I was able to talk to someone who told us they had the order. When my husband showed up at the lab they said they did not have it. It does not show up online. It's impossible to get through their voice response system. It simply does not work no matter what number you press. Trying to save a trip if they, again, do not have the order. This customer service is abysmal. read more

If you want to access your results online, use LabCorp. This was my first time using Sonora Quest, and they rely on a third-party verifier who couldn't confirm my identity--so now they're only mailing my results. Totally unacceptable. I'll be sticking with LabCorp from now on. read more

Poor information regarding insurance coverage. We were re-directed to a Lab Corp, which have 4 functioning locations and zero openings for 3 weeks! After 30 minutes on the phone with a Sonoran rep. we were quoted a price out of pocket. It was reasonable so we returned to the facility. Waited 35 minutes to be seen and charged double. Both times I went with an appointment that I scheduled through my portal which I created. I received appointment reminder messages and the lab confirmed receiving my doctor's orders. Upon arrival to the lab, I was taken right in by very nice and friendly staff. Lab is contracted with my Blue Cross plan. In & out each time in less than 15 minutes! I'd give them five stars for how nice they were, but... Four of my tests were mishandled. Three came back "Cancelled. Test not performed. Specimen was not protected from light," and the other "Cancelled. Incorrect specimen received." Now I have to go back to my doctor, get the tests re-ordered, go get my blood drawn again, and hope that the tests will be handled correctly this time. They were nice though. read more

I get routine lab work done here every 3 months and their online scheduling has never worked. I have to call to schedule, which I wouldn't mind except that it takes 20-30 minutes of waiting on hold to speak with someone. And while on hold, I get to listen to a recording repeatedly reminding me that I can schedule my appt online. If that were true, I wouldn't choose to wait on hold forever! I have told the people on the phone and in the office but it never gets fixed. There's a support number to call for assistance with the site but it isn't my job to help troubleshoot their site that I've already made them aware of numerous times. If you're going to constantly shepherd patients to do everything online, then make sure your systems work!! When I get my blood work done the staff is always friendly and pretty quick, which is the only reason they're getting any stars from me in this review. I doubt people look on Yelp for reviews about lab facilities but I'm hoping this review reaches the business AND someone who cares. Fingers crossed read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. I made an appointment 2.5 weeks ago for 1 simple blood draw. At my appointment check in there was a 3 hour wait. The reason for waiting 2.5 weeks for an APPOINTMENT, is just that to actually be seen at the time you booked. I walked out. This place needs to work on how that manage appointments!! read more

Great lab, great staff RIDICULOUS POLICIES! I have an order in my hand on several different sheets of paper from my PCP. ONE of those tests needs to be resulted to a specialist for an appt next week. Since I get the same labs every 90 days I know it takes 2 weeks to get my results back because they wont result the completed tests they make you bust until all the results are in. I was told TWICE by customer service that I could request just that quick and single result be faxed to the specialist. When I arrived, no dice. I had to pay cash to replicate the order I was holding in my hand so I can get the single quick result faxed to my specialist. Some racket, they get paid by my insurance and paid by me for the same test. Seriously? Again, this lab and staff are fantastic, too bad corporate can't get out of their own way! read more

I went to have my blood drawn this morning that had been ordered by my physician. The clinic is clean and the lady at reception was very friendly. I got there on time and they had me back in a room exactly at my appointment time. Theresa was my phlebotomist and she was very friendly and had great technique. I barely felt the needle going in. Unfortunately for me I started feeling faint as the last blood tube was being collected. Theresa was so kind and understanding. She immediately started fanning me off, got me a cold cloth for my forehead and had someone bring me cold water. She never left my side. I walked into this lab about 40 minutes before closing. I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was called back. The phlebotomists here are always friendly, professional, yet quick. I was really disappointed in the service I received while trying to get my labs done. Receptionist was very rude loudly making fun of customers on the phone with other employees. My daughters and I were able to walk in and get their blood tests taken in close to 25 minutes which isn't too bad. I'm happy we didn't have to wait much longer then that as having five girls in one place can sometimes be an entertaining experience. The lobby is clean and the location is close to my girls pediatrician. The staff was friendly and was able to get my girls in without their insurance cards. March 5, 2020 I had an appointment at 11 AM at Sonora Quest on Frye RD in Chandler, AZ to have my blood drawn for a bunch of blood labs one of my doctors wanted. I had fasted for 12 hours. I had maybe less than a one minute wait in the lobby, because the girl behind the front desk in the lobby that day was a Rock Star at her job, & I should know, because this was "NOT my first blood draw Rodeo". I am an AML Leukemia survivor who received an HCST (Bone Marrow Transplant) 5 years ago. So,I must be closing in on about a zillion blood draws by now. More important, though, is WHY I am writing this review: the phlebotomist, (whose name tag I noticed read SYED) who collected my blood in 5, 6, or 7 vials that day, was THE BEST on so many levels. He was about my age, (I will soon turn 60) & I have a little bit of anxiety about the stick on the needle, and I can't bear to watch, so I turn my face away from it. The older I get, the more tender I become, so it seems, for blood draws, (or when I am in the dentist's chair). SYED was relaxed & conversational, & quietly humorous. We'd both spent decades "in the trenches" of every person's battle for health, LIFE, & everyday survival, whether we are at our jobs or whether we are at home, & how the battle doesn't ease up even after my husband & I have finally reached our retirement-- whether it's yet one more blood draw I have to do, or it's yet one more item to be repaired or replaced for the house, or the car. I have met a LOT of skilled & nice phlebotomists, but SYED is THE ONE that I WANT to YELP about: Of course he was genuinely attentive & caring, but he was also humorous and entertaining. Usually, blood draws are a DULL task on my list of things I have to do, but this time, SYED's kind attention to our conversation affected the quality of my whole day. (Now, THAT is a high art!) I left in a much better mood than I arrived. I've submitted to more blood draws than anyone could try to remember, but after this blood draw, expertly done by SYED, I drove home to immediately tell my husband how delightfully surprised I was by the lovely "visit" I had just enjoyed with my phlebotomist at Sonora Quest, whose name was SYED, and how it had affected, lifted, my mood. Now, even 26 days later, I still remember it! So, I've decided to tell the whole world about it in a Yelp review. I do not know whether or not Sonora Quest allows their customers/patients to request a particular phlebotomist, but I would absolutely recommend SYED to anyone, of any age, even a baby, -- in a heartbeat! Absolutely the worst place to go to get blood drawn. I made on line appointment. I waited and waited, after 45 minutes I went up to the receptionist and asked her very nicely "do you know how much longer it is going to be" she looked at me and said NO! You know, when you see yourself in your mind climbing over the desk and ripping her tongue out, it was time to leave. I said her, could you please give me back my paperwork it took her 5 minutes or so to find it. While I was there, there was a baby about 2 weeks old that had to get some blood work done and they were there 1/2 hour before I got there. When I was leaving I held the door open for a family with a small child and a baby weeks old. I called my husband to chat and he said to go to the Sonora Quest on 7st and Bell Rd so I did. While I was waiting, the family that I held the door open at 27 Ave Sonora Quest came walking in. We said hi to each other. The man said to me we left and came here because the tall phlebotomist man at the 27 Ave Sonora Quest was hurting that 2-week old baby and she was screaming and the mother of the baby told the man to stop squeezing her leg you are hurting her. It sounds like things really got heated over there. The man said no one is going to hurt my babies so came to 7st and Bell Rd. read more

If the team at Sonora reads this just a simple recommendation, open the door a few minutes early. A couple of elderly people arrived early and did not have a place to sit. I absolutely hate getting blood drawn I have avoided it for years as every time in the passed it takes the person several tries and I always leave in pain and bruised for days. Wednesday was definitely a change. Sonya did my labs and she did amazing. No pain what so ever and I can't even find the dot from the needle in my arm. My second visit to this Sonora Quest location very close to home is a plus.....But the customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I don't understand how hard it is the put a smile on your face say words like "thank you for you're patience", "please have a seat". This tech was about to take my son's blood for the second time...almost. My son 6 yrs old like any other 6 yr old is really scared right. He started to cry she didn't even try to talk to him or make him comfortable....Excuse me your the one the huge needle and your not going at least try to show sympathy to my child or smooth out the situation like they normally would at a Dr office for example: show them a cool sticker to take their mind off of pain they are about to encounter. Have some heart lady. What upset me the most was her tone, attitude and her overall rudeness how can you have such a cold heart toward an innocent child.
