I'm very disappointed with my overall experience with Edicine…read more I called the front office to schedule an appointment yesterday for a lingering cough at 1:45pm and she said she didn't have anything available until after 3pm. After talking to her for a few minutes she told me to head over as she'd squeeze me in at 2pm. When I arrived, there were no patients waiting in the lobby which seemed weird that she made it seem like they were fully booked. Nonetheless, the check in process was fast and I was grateful to get in so quickly. The front office staff member took copies of my DL and insurance card, charged my card for payment and a few mins after I was taken back. The appointment was very brief; the doctor checked my vitals, throat and ears and wrote a prescription for antibiotics. The medical assistant asked for my preferred pharmacy and I gave her the cross roads. I received a voicemail this morning from THE WRONG PHARMACY 20 minutes away from where I live... stating the prescription needed prior authorization and had not been filled due to insurance issues. I called Edicine and left a voicemail as soon as their office opened explaining that I needed a different prescription sent out to the Walgreens by my house and stated the address in full, including my full name, DOB and call back number. I have called Edicine 6 times today and have not heard back from anyone. I'm going out of town tomorrow morning and it feels like a complete waste of time and money getting seen by their facility when they completely screwed up the most important part. I'm extremely frustrated to say the least.

Wendy and Jaquie have been amazing and very easy going and flexible as far as scheduling an appointment and or surgery.. They go by the time that fits you and when you can go and when they take you back to the room they atually take their time to talk to you about whats going on and make you feel comfortable and within 5 minutes the doc will come and see you i have never waitted more than 5 minutes to see the doc.. .. . Dr. Ranade (my surgeon) And Dr. Perez-Soto (his partner) have been nothing but AMAZING .And if i needed to see him and he wasnt available outta town in surgery etc.. I was always been able to see Dr.Perez -Soto . Dr.Ranade was my surgeon for past 3 yrs and have been nothing but Greeat .. He did 3 out of my 4 surgeries and he always stays positive and very optimistic about things even when complications arise and he made sure that i was okay and gave me meds when i needed them and treats me like he would treat his own family.. He will spend as much time as i needed to talk to me .. I saw Dr.Perez-Soto couple of times when Dr. Ranade was outta town and shes been great and flexible as well very understanding and explains stuff to the patients and make sures that you go home with full understanding of things . Both Dr.Ranade and Dr.Perez-Soto are easy going very very very UNDERSTANDING and Great surgeons.. and UNLIKE OTHER DOCTORS.. They care about their patients and treat them with respect and listen to their patients they are one of the few docs ive seenn that actually fallow up with patients and if something unexpected comes up you can give the office a call and they will take care of the issue by paging the doctor and trying to help you as much as they can till the doctor doesnt call you .. and if its after hrs they have people that you can talk to and they will contact the doc and within the few minutes the doc will cal you and make sure everything is okay.. I personally never had issues and was always been able to make an app same day or within the couple of days and would strongly reccomend this place and the doctors.. AMAZING people and amazing place..

Her office may have extended wait times, but it is because she spends quality time with each patient. It is hard to find an MD these days who will actually listen to you, and act on the information. Modesta has no problem doing this, and uses her experience and knowledge to treat and address issues, not just pre- populated power plans. I trust her and will always see her for my internal medicine needs. I am a fan of real life medicine applied using the physicians knowledge and experience. The TPC (ThePilotCenter.com) website is really easy to navigate, and booking on their portal website Vagaro.com was simple. I was relieved to see there was plenty of availability, and could have managed a same day appointment (but I don't procrastinate when it comes to that First Class). Now what sets this office apart is their communication. Appointment confirmation when booked, a few days out I received an email and text to confirm, and the day before almost like a checklist to make sure I didn't forget any important documents (pilots love checklists). During the appointment the office visit was seamless and very efficient with little to no time wasted. Before I knew it Dr. Dykema was ready for me to head back. All of the same exam items one expects for a First Class (this time including an EKG because getting old sucks). The price is very reasonable and receipt was no problem for reimbursement from the airline. In the end, absolutely no reason to be nervous. I had a great experience, and expect you to have the same.

I've only ever had two staff members draw my blood, both of them have been efficient, pleasant and enjoyable. It's easy to park and get into their office and they have live local people who answer the phone when you call customer service, which I also appreciate. I usually book my own labs directly on their website, which is easy to navigate and also to download results from. They usually have some kind of monthly discount special also for cash pay clients. I would choose to have my blood drawn here over any other lab I've ever been to in my 40+ years on this earth.

What finally caused me to write this review unfortunately has nothing to do with the provider herself, it's the company's process. Today's call to make an appointment ended with asking for my insurance information and reminding me (first time I've heard this) that they do NOT verify insurance, it is my job to do so. WHAT?! Since when did this became their policy? So if you don't fully understand what the comment means, IF YOUR INSURANCE IS OUT OF NETWORK AND YOU DIDNT CAL YOUR INSURANCE TO CHECK YOU WILL BE RECEIVING A BILL that would most likely have been covered or had a higher coverage rate had you gone to an in network Dr. So if this isn't a problem for you make sure you always verify with your insurance because they can be in network for one visit but for a future appointment no longer be in network.
