My first appointment, I describe how I feel, he spends maybe 5 minutes, orders 2 different tests. I complete the tests on a Friday, I ask the front desk, "If I come in on Monday, will he at least have the results of the one test that was completed in office." She states yes. I go into the office to go over the results of that one test the following Monday, in which I waited 90 minutes past my appointment time to see him for 2 minutes to tell me nothing is wrong. What made this situation even more worse is that while I was waiting to see him I hear him in the hall say, "Well I never looked over her test." I am upset that I waited that long, that he never looked over the results, that he spent little to no time with me and that she stated that he would look over it prior to my appt. I asked for a copy of the report while I was in office and Dr Malholtra said no, that I needed to wait. No reasoning as to why I could not get a copy of the report. To make matters worse, I call 2 weeks later as I have not heard anything for the second test, they tell me I need to come in to get the results and pay another copay. I say "well if nothing is wrong, I do not want to waste my time and another copay, I am assuming that if something was, he would and should have called me sooner." She states "Yeah, it's just a routine test." Needless to say, I do not recommend anyone to come here and Dr Malholtra and his staff should be ashamed of the poor quality care the have given me.

When I asked the receptionist what was taking so long she told me there were two patients ahead of me and then I would have my appointment. Although I was supposed to get the results of my stress test today, I could no longer wait. I had another appointment after this one at another facility, so I finally walked out. Hopefully my stress test went well because I am not sure I will ever find out. I do not plan to return to this office ever again in the future if I can help it. After my stress test had begun, one of the staff came in and scolded me because I was not swinging my legs. Yet no one had told me I was supposed to do that during the test, let alone tell me when I was supposed to stop swinging my legs. I don't feel confident that the test results would be accurate since I was not given appropriate instructions prior to them starting the test. I do not recommend this place. If you are smart, you will find another place to have your cardiological needs met.

Getting to see your test results here is like pulling teeth. A few months ago, I mentioned to my…read morecardiologist at a routine appt. that I was going to be getting a leg ultrasound elsewhere to see if my deep vein thrombosis (clot) had improved and discuss it with my primary care provider. She mentioned I could get the test here if I want to, so I made the appt and got it done. I was due to then go to my pri care doctor in 2 weeks to discuss the ultrasound / DVT. So I needed to get a copy of the ultrasound to take along to the appt. I had to make several calls to this office and finally an office mgr who said she would talk to the right person in the back office and finally get my test result after like 3 calls requesting, and not getting anywhere. I was on the verge of having to get my pri doctor to send me to a different lab to repeat the ultrasound. Now fast forward to a couple weeks ago..... I had a routine heart echo test. The appt with cardiologist was scheduled for a week later to review the test results. I kept watching the patient portal for see if they were going to upload it so I could read it before the appt to be ready with any questions I might have. Once again, no test got uploaded to the patient portal. (Why have a patient portal?). So the day of the appt, I get checked in and medical asst/nurse takes me back to the exam room, gets me ready to see the Dr, and I ask if I can have a copy of the echo test.....nope. We don't give you a copy unitil after you have seen the Dr. So, when the Dr came in, asked if I could have a copy of the test to review with her....nope. She then reviewed the test with me, and explained this and that. I could not ask about anything I might like to because I had not been allowed to read the test results. As the appt concluded, I asked if I can now have a copy of the test results. She said to stop at the reception desk and check out, and then it can be printed and given to me. I went home, read it, and noted a couple things that I felt were significant, and remembered she had made comments that I think were related to one of the items, and nothing at all about the other. So I got online and looked up the items and did some reading about them. Now if I want to ask the Dr about thiose items, it will have to be at my next appt in 6 months. I would have thought it would be good to discuss the test results with the Dr at the appt 8 days after the test, but they restrict your access to the actual test results until you are walking out after the appt is done. That is unacceptable. A smart way if they don't want you reading your test ahead of time, would be to hand you your test result, if you ask for it, as you are waiting for the Dr to come into the exam room, then you will have had the opportunity to read it and have any questions ready for the Dr. This practice of saying get it on your way out the door seems pretty inconsiderate and dumb to me. Their policy on this seems to be to suppress questions from the patient. Well, I can say it has worked on me. Very poor.
