Incredibly rude staff. Since this is one of two Labcorps open on the weekend in the entire valley somehow, the waiting room was over flowing when we got there. The staff was unbelievably rude, yelling at patients in the waiting room and spilling out into the hall. The very short woman in particular was especially nasty. No apologies for the potential 3 hour wait to be seen, no instructions or any effort to mitigate any patient concerns or frustration. Horrible customer service. We ended up leaving because of how borderline hostile the staff was. Labcorp has a bad reputation for a reason but even our experience today was a new low. Labcorp needs to have more weekend available, I work 2 jobs during the week and have no time to get in without missing work which I need every hour for like most families anymore. Labcorp at 9139 W Thunderbird - Used to take walk in's and then posted signs everywhere no walkin's for the last 6 months of 2025. I would always try to get an appt but you have to remember 2 months in advance to get early morning. For 2026 it shows on their website walk ins welcome in bold. So I went today. It was very crowded, sign on door that said appt only was gone but then they have a big sign when you go in. I asked they said no appt needed but the wait will be longer. I checked in and in 25 minutes they only called back 1 person and now there was at least 30-40 people waiting. I asked how long it would be and she said 2 hours with no appt. I asked why they were not calling anyone back and she said they are short staffed. In my opinion this location does not want very much business and they are moving slow to prove a point. Seems like very poor management. I went to Sonora Quest and got an appt same day, which I am sure this specific labcorp was happy about. read more

Awful awful awful. The staff are so beyond rude for no reason and yell for absolutely no reason. The 'team lead' at this location kept yelling then proceeded to say 'everyone needs to stop yelling at me'. Literally nobody was yelling. An older couple was just asking simple questions and the 'lead' proceeded to tell them if they want to even be seen today then they need to just go sit down. They were not being rude in any sort of way and were just confused. They have no sense of organization, patient care is awful, and overall do not recommend coming here. After the lead was yelling at everyone she proceeded to yell that you have to have an appointment here which is fine but was told you do not need an appointment for a urinalysis. Well known and behold you do NOT NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR URINALYSIS! So after getting screamed at and telling them this was for a urinalysis, they chose to start 'being nice'. The only thing the staff seem to care about is 'we have a job to do' but they have zero understanding of patient care. This is a healthcare facility, why are you yelling about the fire code on the building when there are 7 people in your lobby. It's a shame this company is run so badly by corporate. The techs and front office staff are awesome. However, I ran into these issues: 1. My doctor called and asked if they did MRSA swabs. The said they did. When I arrived, they told me this was not the case, that they only sent swabs into the lab, but that I had to bring the swab from my provider. 2. They sent my bill to the address on my driver's license, not my current address. Thankfully, I was able to get the bill from the current residents. 3. The online bill pay did not show any bills for my account. I tried putting in the information manually and it did not work because they had the wrong zip code on file. When I finally figured that out, there was no way to pay as some weird box in the middle of the page showed a buffering sign and there was no "next" button to click. 4. I called to pay the bill and first had to listen to some speech about how talented their employees are (great, but nobody cares. I want to pay my bill). Then I put all the information in the automated system, which was slow and clunky. Then it transferred me to a representative, who took all the same information again! All in all, it took way too long to pay a bill. Next time I will go to Sonoraquest. So easy to pay there. read more

The Thunderbird LabCorp in Peoria, right next to Sun City, is where I have gone for years. The last 2 years or so have been horrific. Standing room only, and out into the hall, waiting at least an hour for a blood draw. Obviously there is a huge demand for their services, especially since adjacent Sun City is a retirement community, full of seniors with health problems. Their solution to an overwhelming demand? Close the place an hour EARLIER, and demand appointments only! Many seniors have no computer, not to mention they crash frequently. MY solution would have been to hire a couple more phlebotomists, and offer LONGER hours, maybe 2 or 3, to serve the obvious need. (this would be a Godsend to folks still working and trying to get in). Instead they basically say they don't care about lots of people needing blood work. I am done with them; had decent care with Sun City Sonora Quest twice. read more

I tried to get a simple blood draw 3 times!!! Ok, first off, they closed the location on 59th ave that I had always gone to. So I went to their 5750 Thunderbird Rd location...PACKED with the line literally out the door. I asked them "when's a good time to come here?" The receptionist told me saturdays. 8-noon. She also said "We only get about 1 or 2 per hour that morning". So I went BACK on saturday morning, and AGAIN the line was literally out the door! There was a lot of people being drug screened for drugs there. So the next monday I looked up another location of theirs that does not do the drug screening, figuring it would not be so crowded. The hours listed on their flyers were 7am to 4pm. Same hours listed on their website. I showed up at 3:01pm and they were CLOSED at 3pm even though their hours posted in the lobby right outside their door side they close at 4pm! They put a flimsy paper sign on the door glass stating that they are closing at 3pm as of Dec 2nd. I knocked on the door and that receptionist waved me away, which was infuriating because I did nothing wrong, but THEY certainly did. I asked if they could let me in because I was only ONE minute late and that was ONLY because they misled me. She just looked away, which was doubly infuriating! I wish I could leave zero stars. DO NOT visit this company. Despite taking your insurance card, they charge you for the full amount of your blood work, send it to billing, and then within 30 days, you'll be refunded for what insurance covers. I asked why in the hell would that be a policy, and was told "it's because customers aren't paying their bills." lol, um but I do? So what does that have to do with me? My lab tech was very unfriendly, didn't ask if I was okay at any point, and actually was "flinging" my vials of blood into a plastic basket right in front of my face as they filled up. Luckily, I'm not one who faints at the sight of blood. I also was sad when hearing the rude receptionist giving an elderly, hard of hearing gentleman a hard time for arriving without an appointment. He was using a walker and could not move around easily, and all the receptionist kept saying was "we are appointment only, so you will be a walk in" and he sat down, and less than 5 minutes later, he was called back by a tech. Seems like they weren't "so busy" that this man needed an appointment. Receptionists need to get off their high horse and need lessons in customer service. Do NOT go to LabCorp. read more

The lobby was packed and my daughter was fussy and she took us in after 20-25 mins and made sure that I knew it's because she couldn't handle me starring at her (which I didn't complain or stare at her like she made it seem) Once she took my daughter and I in the back she tells me "it's not even your turn but I can't work with you staring at me... " and I let it go.. and she said again.. "yeah if you are in a rush make an appointment because you starring at me work doesn't help". It literally took everything I had to not walk out because my daughter needed the tests bad. She had to poke my daughters arm 4 times (she is 18 months old).... it was a nightmare. read more

I've been to the Thunderbird Peoria location twice in the last week and had great experience both times. I easily made an appointment online and checked in at the kiosk upon arrival. On my most recent visit I had a 1:00pm appointment on a Wednesday afternoon for blood work and was in and out by 1:10pm. Very friendly staff! I had a student draw blood this same appointment she did a wonderful job. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE, it's quick and easy and will save you time, they take priority in their appointments. (Side note, do not call Labcorp locations and expect to speak with someone. I say this because I heard an older couple waiting say they couldn't get ahold of anyone and the receptionist stated it was an automated response system.) read more

I came in thinking I had an appointment today, it was actually scheduled for Thursday(completely my fault) and we were having trouble interpreting the tests my doctor ordered. Allison and Cheryl worked so hard to contact my doctor, look up the correct codes, so I didn't need to come back Thursday. Allison, Cheryl, and Don went above and beyond for me, and I am so grateful. She called my name to give my doctor's order and when I got to the window, she asked me what I wanted. I said that she had called my name. She said she hadn't. I told her my name and said that she had just called me. She said, oh right, sorry. The phlebotomist came with 3 vials. Knowing what I was to have done, I said that wasn't nearly enough. Okay, Get this - you won't believe it! This is the lab both of my elderly parents use. (Have for 15+ years while my dad underwent blood testing every 3 weeks for his medicine levels) Sometimes they go in, sometimes I just drop off a sample for them. Its usually really quick either way. TODAY however, they wouldn't accept a sample drop off because I didn't have my father's insurance card with me. As I said, this is not a new patient. When his insurance changed, they scanned the new card. THEY HAVE THE INFO ON FILE. They wouldn't even accept a fax from the doctor, or an electronic file with his insurance info on it. The SAME INFO THEY HAVE ON FILE. They now apparently are required to scan your insurance card every time you stop in. WHAT? NOTHING HAS CHANGED with the info, only their policy. I asked the girl "So, if I drive this sample across town to his doctor's office and drop it off, then your team will drive over there and pick it up without seeing his insurance card, but I can't leave it here? She said "yes." That was the stupidest thing I've heard in a while! Needless to say, I got in my car and drove to the doctor and told them this story and the girl at the desk said "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." The other employees and patients waiting in the lobby all nodded their agreement of its absurdity. (Yes, I'm friendly with my doctor's staff - so I talk in normal conversational tones rather than hushed "doctor's office whispers"). Even some of the back office staff and nurses asked what I was doing back the next day - my reply was don't get me started - ask anyone in the lobby. Gave it to receptionist when I checked in only for her to tell me that I don't show an appointment and she can't find the confirmation I gave her. My prospective employer scolded me saying a drug test should only take "30 minutes tops" after I waited for 90 minutes at another Labcorp facility where I had to run out of their lobby to make an appointment and consequently take the longest pee of my life at the nearest QT/bush/discrete location. The solution? Send me to another Labcorp facility. Which brings me here! Their hours were posted incorrectly on the information given using the portal for employers ordering drug screens so I wasn't able to make their "latest" time which I had to speed to once I was off work at 3pm Paradise Valley to Peoria. You read that right- PEORIA. I'm peeved that the availability and efficiency of their labs made it impossible to get my pre-employment screening done. Leaving me high and dry for the job opportunity I had lined up. If you are reading this and you have a lab coming up- arrive early, advocate for yourself, and check more than one source for their hours. Chances are you have the wrong information. read more

You know, its a lab. The front desk isn't the friendliest and they don't want to even engage you unless you have already checked in on the kiosk which is right in front of the desk....even to just drop off a lab sample! When and if you do need to get in the back to "donate" they are friendlier and very professional. This is a VERY busy location so my suggestion would be to make an appointment before heading in as you will be taken MUCH faster if you do...otherwise make sure your phone battery is full because you will be waiting! read more

Well to say the least labcorp is not the best place at all. Been to 3 of the different labs in my area on the west side and they all have the same issues. Under staffed faulty equipment and super long wait times. Seems like the company does not want to put any money into keeping up there company and let it fall waists side.
