I went in with my cognitively disabled sister to get her a COVID test. She attends a day program and someone on Tuesday tested positive. I was filling out her paperwork (I HAD A Power of ATTORNEY). The individual (uneducated and uninformed person) stated I HAD TO HAVE THE GUARDIANSHIP PAPERS throwing the POA back on the counter. By then I was not a happy camper as obviously she did not know anything about the HIPPA laws. Number one, Legal Guardianship papers are in legalese. I do not carry them in my purse, only the LEGAL, POWER OF ATTORNEY DURABLE HEALTH CARE FORM of the STATE OF ARIZONA, setting out I am given the right and duty to make health care decisions for her due to . . . disability. Our sweet little neighbor kid hangs out at our home, and being in school she tends to share all her germs too. Eek! It builds up their immunity they say. =) Our little one picked up a little pink eye in one of her eyes. I called ahead to make sure it was okay to bring her in as our primary care doctor couldn't get her in for 2 weeks. The two young ladies at the front were so sweet. If it is your first visit and you are an adoptive parent or guardian you must have your paperwork with you. I had just been the the ER for another one and they required the paperwork to, but not being to Banner they don't have it. The office girl really tiptoed around me and felt bad me having to run home first to get it. I understood as there is a lot going on in the world with families and it is important. It is her job. I was very kind about it. I ran back really fast and came back. Our visitor paperwork had already been filled out, so were taken back right away. PA John was super kind and friendly. We found ourselves needing an urgent care for one of my kids this morning and this one seems to have the best reviews and I felt comfortable coming here. Last urgent care we went to in surprise was awful. The location was very clean, front desk employee was friendly, and after we signed in and filled out a few papers we were taken back within 10 minutes. The Assistant that helped us was great and took great care with my daughter. Although we couldn't get an exact diagnosis here and has to go to the ER I was very satisfied with the care here and will definitely choose this location for my family if we ever need help again. read more

Daughter had an earache and couldn't wait to be seen. I called and explained I have 4 kids but wanted to respect their Covid rules of one parent one patient only. So they offered to come out to my car. They warned me that the wait would be awhile with 5 people ahead of me. So I get there they bring me all paperwork, check her vitals, give me 10 minutes to do the paperwork and come back to retrieve it. Once they took the paperwork in we waited maybe 5 minutes for the doctor to examine her. He was so kind and spoke to my daughter (9 year old) about her symptoms and how to make her ear infection go away with antibiotics. We were there a total of 20 minutes MAYBE. Who needs a doctor anymore? Not I, says the fly! I have been here twice, and both times have been great!. First time, my son had an ear infection and the second time, he had pink eye. Both times, the front desk ladies were very quick, very friendly, very efficient and flat out AWESOME! $45.00 copay (Aetna insurance), a page or two of paperwork, and you are back seeing the Doctor/PA within 10 minutes. Height, weight, blood pressure check, a quick diagnosis and you are on your way with your prescription to your local pharmacy. With service this professional and this quick, who has time to sit in a waiting room at the doctors office anymore? I will continue to come here. This place is awful. They do not pay attention to detail. It's not like a restaurant where a missed ingredient will spoil your dinner. A missed detail here could ruin entire lives. I was seen for kidney pain. They told me that there was blood in my urine and sent a sample to get a urine culture and an order for ultrasound. They didn't put the correct diagnosis code on the order, so it was a wild goose chase to get SimonMed to do the test. See my review there for what I had to go through. Then after all that, I was promised results the next day. I called for the next three days and kept getting told that they didn't have the results back. Turned out that Express Urgent Care either put the wrong fax number or no fax number on the order. Finally I get the office manager on the phone, who told me that the lab results were normal. But when I get the lab result from SimonMed, this is what I saw: "The urine specimen was received in the laboratory without preservative. Unpreserved urine specimens tested more than two hours after collection may be subject to degeneration. Changes that may occur include formation of crystals; loss of integrity of cells and formed elements; degradation of some chemical constituents; and excess bacterial growth. Clinical correlation is advised. The preferred specimen is urine submitted in a Jade Urinalysis Transport Tube." So when I called Express Urgent Care, yet again (more than a week after my original visit and still in the dark), I was told that the test was actually submitted correctly (based on what, my lying eyes?) and that it was normal. They also won't mail or e-mail you any records, even to the address they already have on file. You have to actually go back there and sign another form. I guess they want to add more barriers to getting records because they make so many mistakes and don't want people to notice as easily. read more

Super long wait. Rushed through appointment and they couldn't send prescription to pharmacy. Called and they don't answer the phone. Went back to location for prescription and they had me wait again, just to say they'll send it when they can. They will not give you a paper prescription for some reason but still haven't sent medicine to pharmacy almost 6 hours after appointment. read more

I went here today for sore throat pain. This was my first time here and My experience was very pleasant - it was earlier in the morning just shortly after they had opened so there was only about 4 of us filling out paperwork in the waiting room and waiting to be seen. The receptionist was very nice and it wasn't a long wait before I was taken to my room. The nurse tending to me was also kind when doing my vitals and strep testing. I was seen by the nurse practitioner in a very timely manner and her assessments and diagnosis for me where on point. In all, I felt like I was treated very well and the process was very smooth. I have a 4 instead of 5 only because I feel like they can automate their paperwork intake process and have you use an iPad system instead of having to fill out individual sheets of paper. read more

Dont come here for an emergency. I was having an allergic reaction and needed an epi pen. I was standing outside the doors following the rules on the door. Called explained i was having an allergic reaction and they stated they are by appts only and they can get me in tomorrow. I returned after an amazing experience and wasn't as thrilled this time. No wait but the NP said she was sending my prescription and sent the wrong dose. After 2 calls I finally got it filled 6 hours after I had gone in. I can't stomach the prescription I was given so I'll have to wait until I can see my doctor on Monday. DO NOT RECOMMEND! My partner went in on Wednesday Sept 1 for an injury sustained on his thumb that needed immediate x rays and unfortunately, he hado to deal with the pain and discomfort for 8 days before he finally got the results FROM AN X-RAY. Luckily his thumb is only fractured but it's now been a week that his thumb has not been in a splint which could potentially cause long term issues. He called several times for updates throughout the week and expressed how important it was for him to get his results since he works a very laborious job but they just couldn't help him. This place is awesome the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. No waiting time when I got there filled out paperwork went straight back provider was in the exam room with 5 minutes. I stepped on a thorn on Thursday went to a different Urgent Care on Friday they said my foot was fine even though my foot was swollen, red and couldn't walk on it by Saturday I couldn't even touch it, it was so painful. I went to Express Urgent care the provider said yes, indeed an infection gave me a antibiotic shot, anti inflammatory injection and a tetanus as I didn't remember the last time I received one within 2 hours I can walk on it, the swelling has went down its already 80% better. I walked in today for my daughter and they were very nice, answered all my questions and more, also I didn't really have a wait. Hands down the best urgent care I have been to. I visited this location for the 1st time as a walk-in since my son needed to get some stitches. From the the time we checked in and checked out it took a little over an hour. The office is clean and the front desk receptionist and office staff were amazing. First time here today & I was very impressed with the staff. My kiddo was very ill and they got us in quickly. We didn't even wait long in the room like other urgent cares we've been to (and our own pediatrician's office ). Are usually rent and rave about how wonderful this places especially because my experience has been with this wonderful Diana always is very helpful and carefully evaluate my child you don't feel rushed at all however my review is more so for the person in her absence today by the name of Jennifer... My child was seen yesterday- I call 24 hours later (which I was told to do if he was not getting better to see if we needed to prescribe an anabiotic )I called and the lady at the front desk tells me that the practitioner who seen me yesterday was not in and that I would have to wait until tomorrow ..I paid $120 cash for him to be seen and the lady at the front desk told me I would have to come in again today in order to get prescribe anything for my son not only is this ridiculous But it's borderline illegal for her to make that demand. This person "Jennifer" is going to be reported to corporate As I am probably not the person she wanted to disregard -my son is ill and needed a prescription today.And urgent care that only cares about getting your money upfront and not following through with what's right is not the place you want to take your child read more

Wonderful care! No one in front of me. They registered me in a NY minute. The nurse and nurse practitioner were so friendly and sympathetic. The nurse practitioner was so gentle examine me as it was such a painful problem. She Dx my problem quickly. Send in required prescriptions to my pharmacy before I walked out. She also knew what my problem was and 4 days before I saw my PCP for the same problem and she misdiagnosed, put me on a medication that had lots of side effects for no good reason. I was promptly greeted, registered by professional and smiling staff! I was seen quickly and was evaluated and referred to Del Web Hospital (I will NOT be giving Del Web ER a high rathing...slow, inefficient, etc!) for further testing.
