They are a joke. It is the most mismanaged company I have ever had the miss pleasure of dealing with it took three tries to get the blood work done with difficulty on all three occasions. The wait time is a walk-in as well over an hour and a half to two hours there is no one there to help you. I would do everything in my power to go elsewhere. read more

I went in this morning as a walk-in (around 7:10am) after learning that the Litchfield location has closed. This is the most disorganized, rude, incompetent facility I've been at. I waited over an hour and my name was still not on the board. A few walk-ins before me had their name showing on the board but around 18-20, and their numbers kept fluctuating. Numerous people would ask staff and they would either shrug their shoulders or give non answers. After seeing this, I just asked for my orders back and will go elsewhere and will never return to this location. I NEVER had this problem at the Litchfield location and never had to wait more than 15-20 min as a walk-in. Nor was the staff rude and incompetent. This location is just horrible and avoid if you can. read more

I had no appt so was expecting a long wait. I do like the computerized check-in kiosk. I was able to choose to wait elsewhere (my car) to avoid germs during the flu season. The front desk was very helpful and said they could take my lab orders in 15 minutes. The text was actually in 5 minutes. Then they said I would have about a 15 minute wait to have the blood drawn. It was about 10! My phlebotomist was Brenda and she was quick, personable and I never even felt the needle go in. I had a number of blood draws done by this facility: in most cases, the test results are on my patient portal before I get home, an hour away. Not this facility. I had a number of vials of blood drawn, and FOUR days later, the lab test results were not posted either on my Sonora Quest patient portal, or on that of my doctor. In fact, when I called the Sonora Quest Patient Solutions Team, my test results could not be found. Funny, I have all the paperwork given me -- including the bill they presented me for nearly $500 for "tests that probably wouldn't be covered by Medicare." -- despite having one of the best Plan F supplemental insurance policies (why wouldn't they cover tests which are a normal part of a normal medical physical?). Surprise! They have NO RECORD of my blood tests! (The paperwork they gave me gives evidence of the blood draws AND the doctor's lab orders...) it's clearly astounding that despite giving them my Arizona Drivers license, my Medicare and Plan F supplemental insurance cards, they can.'t even find me in their electronic records: according to Sonora Quest, they have no record that I even appeared at the facility to have the tests done (not including those on the doctor's orders that they DID NOT DO. This is a very serious breach of federal law, and this breach of the chain of custody of my medical records and samples is very, very serious. There was no one at the reception desk: it was far more important for them to repeatedly demand that I pay them for tests that "Medicare probably won't cover" -- despite giving them proof of insurance by my Plan F supplemental carrier [I was told that I had to pay the portion which they believe won't be covered -- before getting Medicare's Explanation of Billing (EOB).] I was supposed to be given a sample container to take home with me to send back in, but the individual assisting the lab technician disappeared, and after waiting for nearly 25 minutes, he couldn't be found. I was told that I could come back and get the sample container... another day, and another 78 minutes of driving. This is CLEARLY a violation of HIPAA laws, and everyone at Sonora Quest told me that I had to call around to various labs to try to find the test results. Sonora Quest refused to investigate the breach of the chain of custody (not being able to tell the location of where my lab samples are is a very serious matter that carries with it severe fines, and could result in the facility having its operating certificate pulled.). According to Sonora Quest, they don't even have my doctor's orders in their system, let alone the results of the tests. Nothing! "Are you sure you went to the Sonora Quest lab on Bell Road in Surprise?" They have no record of my visit or the lab tests done -- but, amazingly, they DO have my new email address which I provided the at this visit. My partner, who works with Medicare, says that most of those actions required of the lab specified for the tests were not done, and according to the paperwork I was given at this facility, they didn't do five of the required tests specified by the ordering doctor. When she talked with Sonora Quest, she was clearly being put off, promised that they'd look into the matter (give them 2-3 weeks to investigate the matter) --- and flatly refused to escalate this issue to someone in management. We were given a phone number for this facility in Surprise, but not one of the calls was answered. Utter nonsense. They don't care: they don't have to. Good thing I didn't pay them the $500 they repeatedly demanded: I'd be out the money AND the test results. The last straw? Sonora Quest keeps sending me an electronic survey to tell them about how great their service is. I don't think they're going to like my responses. Remember that they have NO record of my visit, doctor's orders, or blood draw -- but they DO have my new email address used to send me surveys twice a day. I don't know what they're doing at this lab. They don't, either. read more

I had a scheduled appointment at Sonora Quest in Surprise, AZ, on Bell Rd and Rheem. I went in very early (2 hours) to try to get an early blood draw, but there were too many people waiting. Jamie (working the desk) took my information and when I came back at the scheduled time, she saw me and took me right in and did the draw herself. She did an excellent job drawing my blood. This place was busy for sure on a Friday morning, and I can understand why some people get a bit frustrated. That said, the wait is to be expected if you don't have an appointment, so give yourself time and bring a book! I felt that the staff did a pretty good job of getting people through in a timely manner; they were certainly doing their best. While the front office staff does lean more on the 'down to business' side of things rather than what I would call 'friendly and welcoming', I attribute that to the large volume of people they had to try to take care of. I found the staff to be more than professional and would certainly go there again. read more

Sonora customer service is non-existent. I received a bill that had a miscoded diagnostic on billing. I was able to talk to a person once, that advised me to have my Dr. recode and resubmit. I received another statement with no payment by my insurance. I've called and held for 30 minutes 3 times, they have no option for a return call and no email options. I mailed a breakdown of my previous conversation on having diagnostic code rebilled, but no one has called or responded. I'm going to forward a certified letter so I have a paper trail of attempting to rectify this problem. I will NEVER utilize Sonora Quest for anything again. read more

I went to Sonora Quest on Bell and Reems on Surprise AZ for routine blood draw. Ms. Charmaine was my tech. She didn't introduce herself or provide any kid of greeting. She put gloves on BEFORE touching the keyboard, mouse, table, my paperwork etc and didn't change them before my blood draw. She didn't get me on the first stick. I asked her to restick me and she informed me that she doesn't do that and continued to dig around until she still couldn't get my vein. She eventually restuck me. Honestly I was hoping for an email from Sonora Quest so I could provide direct feedback about the care I received but that wasn't provided and I didn't see anything on their site. That tells me all I need to know about their concern for quality patient care. If at all possible, I'll be avoiding that facility in the future, or at a minimum, I'll request a different tech. Really displeased with my experience. All I was expecting was common courtesy and a sterile environment for my injection site. Buyer beware. read more

I sat in the waiting room for 25 minutes before someone came out to let us know. This location is pretty busy - as a walk-in around 9am I waited about an hour, which the ladies at front quoted me accurately. They were very nice and professional especially considering how busy it is. They let me wait in the car and called me when it was my turn. This is by far the BEST experience I have ever had getting my blood drawn. I have TINY shitty awful veins but Sandra, was such a sweetheart!! She got blood the first try, NO PAIN. My doctors office yesterday poked me 8 separate times in my arms and hands with NO luck, which was the reason for my visit with Sonora today. Wish I would've just come straight here rather than let the other office try so many times. **Also, people!! we are in the middle of a pandemic. If you're writing 1 star reviews because you had to wait over an hour without an appointment or because an employee was stern with you (they have to repeat the same information all god damn day, give em a break!) - chill out and check your privilege. My ONLY suggestion to this establishment is to place a highly visible sign on the door that is locked and to direct them to the other door. Had an appointment for 3:30 yesterday afternoon. They close at 4. Showed up for my appt, handed over my insurance card and ID like I've done 20+ times in the past five years since going to this location. I've had the same insurance for the past five years. Next thing you know, I'm being told you suddenly don't take my health insurance. I found that odd because I was literally here last month and all other months before then with zero problems. Got told repeatedly from the women in front and the "billing manager," that they haven't taken it and contracts change yearly. So I was sent home. Keep in mind, my husband had to leave work early to accommodate this appointment that I had booked in advance. So I head to Google to check the yearly contract, and they 100% took my insurance. But still, gave the benefit of the doubt and called TWO billing representatives from Sonora Quest and my own mom (who's a billing manager for another doctors office), who all confirmed they've taken my insurance and that hasn't changed. I'm incredibly irritated because now my schedule is completely booked up, and they wasted my families time and gas money. Sounds to me like the people in the office wanted to go home early and not do their jobs, or they're not qualified whatsoever to be in a billing position. I do not recommend. read more

I appreciated being able to make an appointment and get finished within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Bev, the tech, was excellent. The problem came with lack of seating and the snippy response of the receptionist when asked if they could provide an additional chair for a very ill cancer patient. The chairs were placed 8 feet apart and there was room for at least two more chairs in the center of the room. That's very poor customer service. This was at the 1432 S Dobson location. If not for this problem I would have rated it as a 5 because the tech are really good and never have to stick me more than one time. read more

I booked an appointment for 915 on 912. They always encourage you to make an appointment. I walk in at 9 AM early this morning and was rudely told that it would be about an hour for my appointment. I said why I made the appointment for 915 and I'm early so why do I have to wait an hour. The gentleman at the counter whose name I have it won't put into this complaint says the following to me. Do you want to book another appointment or not. I said why do I have to do this my doctor said she wanted these labs done two weeks before my appointment my appointment is on the 26th and that's why I made this appointment. He said do you want an appointment or not. And while I'm looking in my purse to get out my phone to look at my calendar he says do you want me to book something or not again I said just let me let me see what I have here I got frustrated. I said well I need to get this done as soon as possible because my doctor wanted these labs two weeks prior to my appointment. He days that's ridiculous your doctors wrong we get his labs done in three days. So my doctors wrong in requesting them two weeks before my appointment? I think the young man at the desk needs to learn some customer service. My husband was standing there and he was shocked. All Banner facilities are awful. I wouldn't take my dying cat to one. They hire only the nastiest slave drivers for management (who happen to be the laziest people themselves). When they fired the kid who was the nicest blood drawing person at this facility, I had to switch labs to LabCorp, as I'm sick of this disgustingly odious "business". Do yourself a favor; steer clear of Banner/Sonora Quest and stick with Abrazo, Honor Health and LabCorp. Banner stinks. Literally. read more

Our doctor needed a blood draw today (this was at 8:10AM) for my sick wife. She suggested going to quest so she could get it today; so she could prescribe the correct med. She said she would call it in within the next ten minutes. She suggested getting an appointment on line. On line, the next appointment was SEVEN DAYS away. So I took my wife to to lab to wait. Once arrived the girl at the desk was rude. She said it would be at least 90 to 120 minute wait. There were no places to sit down, plus dozens of sick people standing around in the waiting room. We said we would wait outside, and was rudely informed that if we did not answer when called we would be taken off the waiting list, and they would not check outside. I've been to several Sonora Quest Labs (I take my annual physicals seriously!), and compared to all the ones I've been to, this facility was the cleanest & had the most efficient and friendly staff. Big thumbs up! Now, having said that, yes, it is still crowded,,,, ,it seems like ALL the time, lol. But like I said, they are fairly quick about going through everyone. You can make an appointment, which guarantees you a speedier turnaround, but you CAN NOT be late. If you are not there by your appointment time, you will still be seen BUT it will be as a walk-in. Take a number & get to the back of the line! There aren't actually any numbers, but you get my point ;) This office is small, but clean & the chairs are tolerable. read more

Had my annual blood work done this past week. I usually go to labcorp, however they are no longer a in network facility. I was told to use Sonora Quest Labs, I called in the day before to see If I can make a appointment. They were booked until the next day. The receptionist at the front desk told me if I don't mind waiting for a bit, to walk in. So the next morning I came in and was called in with in a half hour. Everyone was nice, facility is really clean. Only reason why it was only warranted four stars! The man that was probing my arm for the vein was using me as a pin cushion.
