We got the crab cheese dip as an app, which i did not like hot cheese and mayo (?) with pieces of crab- tasted like something heated up in the microwave. Pita chips tasted like Costco - deff not fresh. Wondering why 2 stars? Well our server walks out at the end and says " in the mood for something sweet?" And proceeds to lay down two spoons. He then comes out with a sponge cake desert that we did not order. the impression from us was it was on the house- we didn't pick the dessert and did not ask for it. When it ended up on our bill we felt very blind sided. It was very tacky at least and scammy at the most.

I had the seafood basket with a side, Caesar salad. I think the menu had it listed as six shrimp and two catfish fillets. Mine came with two fillets and four shrimp, the shrimp were quite small like 36-50 size, and very chewy. The fish was greasy but fairly moist, with decent crunch. To clarify the issue with the size of the shrimp, most restaurants in the area will serve 26-35 or larger with an entrée. The Caesar salad had great flavor and plenty of crunchy croutons and romaine stems, there was a few brown and wilted leaves mixed in so it was kind of off putting once I found those. The bread that came with the platter was lightly toasted but flavorless, took one bite, left the rest. Service was fairly lackluster, which is unusual given their high level of service at the downtown location. My side salad came out with my entrée at the same time, which is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but maybe I should've asked that it come out ahead of my hot food . I just usually assume that most restaurants do this so maybe that one's on me. Neither my fish or shrimp were very warm, almost like they were waiting on the salad? Also, it was kind of creepy that a lot of the servers and staff were just standing around leaning on the walls at the back of the dining room, just seemed off. I actually came in here, wanting to have their tuna sandwich, which I've had in the past at the other location and it was phenomenal. Sadly, it is no longer on the menu. We'll definitely come back here and give it another shot because i do like the menu options and atmosphere.

It was a Friday night and the music was loud, you can sit at the bar or at a table. It was several people eating in. We decided on the Wings with Cajun Nawlins fries, and the Bando Nachos. The Bando has a full menu and bar. The service was great and it wasnt a long wait for the food. I asked for sour cream and salsa for the nachos and they didn't have any so I stopped by the store to get some. I was super excited to try the food. It was super salty. Everything was salty. I tried to move past it because I was so hungry but it completely dried my mouth out and I had to stop. I was really disappointed. Experience 2: 4* We had to go back and give it another try before I left and I'm so glad we did! We had brunch. I had the Chicken and Strawberry Crack Waffle and my friend had the Lamb Chops, Shrimp and Grits. Everything was so good! Big A came to greet us and we told him about our food a few nights before and he explained that the meat is marinated and they probably seasoned it again. He was very apologetic. He told today would be better and he would ensure it. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! We really enjoyed it! We also got some gumbo to go and it was really good! I would definitely return if I was in the area!

I am now so excited to try their other dishes. . .but I know that i will be getting the Jamaican patty every time with whatever I order - it was that good! The jerk chicken came with rice & beans, cooked cabbage, and flat cornbread. I know that the latter two food items have other names, but I don't know that they are. I just know that they were tasty! I'll also say that they chose a great location to open. I always drive on Cody Rd S, and I will be sure to stop by more often. Lastly, because they are new, they seem to be working out some of their issues. Be sure to call ahead if you really want a specific dish. They were out of an appetizer and an entree when I called. Their credit card machine was also acting up, so you might want to bring cash as a backup. I am sure that they will work out these issues in the near future.
