I ordered food from here via Door Dash. I ordered a burger, corndog, fries, and drink. When the order arrived, the entire contents was wrong. 0 out of 4 items was correct. There was a complete disregard to paying attention. A clear evidence that managers and owners just do not care about the business. There was an entire jar of mayonnaise on the hamburger. Not a real great experience. We came here at an off time, (2pm), the parking spaces were at most 1/3 filled. We placed our order, mozz sticks and a hamburger meal combo. Hubby made sure to ask for marinara sauce for the cheese sticks. I have to agree with the other reviewers, this place is slow with getting the food out. From placing the order to the food being delivered, it was 12-13 minutes. I do often eat pizza and subs, but rarely get true fast food, so it was disappointing that our items were lukewarm. Nothing is better than hot tater tots, but sadly we had almost cool ones. We didn't receive any marinara sauce with the mozz sticks either, despite asking for it at least twice on the intercom when placing the order. We suspect that the person delivering the food to the car was waiting until she had a few orders to take out vs running each order as it was freshly prepared. On the plus side, they do have a lot of picnic tables, so it's a good place for messy eaters or kids to dine. I don't live in this area, but I would avoid this Sonic if I did. read more

Wish I could give this place a zero!!!! Placed a mobile order at 10:51 and had to wait over 30 minutes just for a cheeseburger and a fry! Absolutely ridiculous not to mention I saw 3 cockroaches climbing up the builtin board by the door the employees exit out from. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and smell like pure piss. Okay, I NEVER post reviews, but this is literally the WORST experience I've ever had at any restaurant... We got there at 11:30 - close to closing I know- and ordered at 11:40. We waited for 45 minutes on our food before going to the kitchen area. Some dude who must've been high or something finally walks out after I stand there for a minute and flagged him down. I asked him about our food multiple times before he finally comprehended what I was asking. He then proceeded to walk inside for a couple minutes before walking back out and saying "oh I'm sorry we didn't get to your order and now we're closed... what do you want me to do." ... you have 2 options, and you've already told me that 1 of those isn't an option anymore, what do you mean what do I want you to do... If you aren't taking orders anymore, then say so, or at the least, walk out to the car and say something. I completely understand it's Sonic at 11:40 at night, but the level of incompetence was mind blowing Also, still waiting for our refund. read more

The food was undercooked we ordered a bunch of items and only the sides like fries,tater tots and onions rings. The service was terrible sat in the drive thru for like an hour and the employees were literally sitting around doing nothing but on their phones. About 3 of them were just standing around not touching a thing , the atmosphere of this sonic sucked they never told us that "oh sorry there's a delay or nothing" they just made us wait and they ignored us when we tried getting their attention. This was the worst fast food experience ever, it's supposed to be fast food not supposed to take an hour. Don't choose this Sonic. read more

Sonic in Zebulon is one of my go-to restaurants. They are always good, quick, and friendly. Today, however, they were having issues with the milkshake machine. It took 5 to 6 minutes to get it going . They made the milkshake and gave it to me and it tastes awful so much that we end up throwing it away. I wish they would have given me a choice like a soda instead. I would have gladly accepted it versus being given that and having to throw it away. read more

I'm not really sure what's happening at this location, but sitting in line for forty minutes after ordering to get incorrect food is simply unacceptable. On Jun 30th about 8pm we went to the Sonic drive thru. My whole family was so impressed with the young lady at the drive thru window, she greeted us pleasantly,read back our order , made eye contact and efficiently gave us our order. This is a rare thing to happen at any drive thru . The drive thru line was long but everyone in the store moved the line along very efficiently, great job Sonic. read more

I'm surprised of the low rating. Our experience was nothing but the best, including fast service. If you're in the mood for a burger, go on and get a #3 double bacon cheeseburger with tots. You will not be disappointed. It was probably the best tasting fast food burger I've ever ate. If you're feeling real hungry, get mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. read more

My wife and I were thirsty after working in the yard and we had a Sonic Slushe craving. We drove 25 minutes to the Zebulon Sonic and ordered two cherry slushes. What we got were two cups of lightly pink tinted ice with no flavor at all. We were already on the way back and did not have time to return. This happened a month or two before. Thought that was a one off issue. Maybe they are saving money on flavoring syrup. Either way I won't return as they fooled me twice. read more

We just left here and had the funniest and best experience. My fiancé and I have been craving a peppermint milkshake. We asked if they had it and the guy said no. We were about to pull off and he said that if we were up for it he was willing to try to make us one. They crushed up the mints they give as favors and put it into a milkshake. When we got to the window they were all gathered around and begged us to try the milkshake because they were so excited about it. We tried it and it was perfect!! HAHHAA Unfortunately we were told it was a one time thing but the fact that the effort was put into it, made it the best experience. We didn't catch their names but you know who you are, so thank you!!!! And to their boss, please don't yell at them!! It was iconic. read more

I've had problems at this Sonic in the past, so I went online and left feedback on Sonic's website. I got an email response the next day apologizing for the experience I had and a promise of further follow-up. A few days later I get a call from Randy, the new manager. Randy asked about the problems I experienced and asked what he could do to keep me as a customer. After a 10 minute conversation he told me he'd comp me a meal the next time I came to his store. When I stopped in to grab a sandwich, Randy came out and spoke with me again. This Sonic is a great place to eat, and the new manager is working hard to get things back in top shape. read more

ordered 1 shakes & 2 blasts, I ordered triple chocolate, and oreo blast & banana cream shake. Both blast looked alike, I asked if this was a triple chocolate, the girl took it in and said they were fixing another one. The next one(same one with more chocolate) definitely had lots more chocolate, and we left. I did not finish it & put in freezer when I got home. I took it out tonight and removed the top I noticed what looked like a bite mark piece gone on the edge. Never going back here again. I guess they say do not complain about your food. I had to give it one star but wish zero stars. This is the slowest and laziest Sonic I've ever been too. The workers are incompetent and disrespectful except for the one guy that work there. I'm tired of the fact that every time I go to the drive thru I'm sitting there for 10 minutes until someone decide to finally do there job. I will report them to headquarters because this is has been going on for too long to still have those people have jobs. read more

Hate to be writing this review, I usually like sonic but the past few times ive been they've been slack. I gave them a few more chances and decided its time to write this. Today I went through the drive thru. Its always kind of slow but I dont mind.(I like sonic) So after ordering I wait about 10 minutes. I get my drinks. They accidently added a hotdog to my order of 2. I didnt mind have an extra one. It'll get eaten. So I drive away and get almost home :( then realize they forgot my Fries. AND napkins....EVERYTIME I go there they never give napkins...anyway I call them and let them know im coming back. I ask the manager to make sure theyre gonna be hot. He reassures me theyre going to be hot and fresh..well to my disappointment they were cold..so I just take them and go home. I get home and take a bite of my hotdog and its cold too :( im just sad about today's visit. Last time I went I had to drive back for something too. The manager today did give a few coupons for BOGO hotdogs but If I have to microwave them when I get home I dont wanna go back :/ Maybe ill try back in a month or so. read more

My first and probably last time going to sonic. Had to wait 40 minutes for two crispy chicken sandwiches and they still messed up my order. They gave me tater tots on one of the orders instead of fries but I was tired of waiting so I decided to just take it and leave. The chicken sandwich was bland and all you tasted was pure bread. The fries were average at best but had a weird after taste the tater tots were decent but just drowned in grease. It still had the same weird after taste don't know if it has to do with the oil they're using or some other factor. read more

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I am the last person to resort to a review but please do not go to this location. We stopped by on a trip and waited 20 minutes in the drive thru (not pressed about that, pretty normal time to wait) but despite our order getting confirmed back to us, half of it was not rung up or given to us. We pulled into an ordering space and pressed the button. We waited 20 minutes before being spoken to and when we politely told them of our situation the person taking our order hung up and said NOTHING. We waited 15 more minutes before I got out of the car waiting to get a workers attention (karen move, I know). They all looked at me and ignored me. I walked up to the little picnic area and finally got someone to speak to me and he was pretty nice and got the things we were missing. It was still wrong when it got brought to us. A 20 minute stop turned into an hour and it was just a terrible experience. The food wasn't good and it was frustrating and disappointing. Nobody was directly rude but it very much seemed like nobody really cared how many people were missing food/ getting the wrong food. The guy in the car next to us had a worker come back THREE TIMES because it was all wrong. People were leaving after getting frustrated from waiting too long. It was just super disappointing and I really hope they get their ish together because Sonic is such a great chain!!!! I just wanted to write a review and warn people of what they can expect! We probably should have listened to the Apple Maps 2.5 star rating the restaurant has. read more

One of my favorite pit stops! My food is always right, always hot and the service for a drive through is always top notch. Me and my husband had only one issue; we came home and our food was cold, the buns were stale.. It was not edible at all. We called and spoke with the nightly manager (his name started with a C.. Maybe Charles? I don't remember) however he was very sweet and understanding and so forgiving. He refunded us over the phone and told us we could come back and get new meals. Its fast food so don't expect a fine steakhouse. The food is consistent, and pretty good for fast food. Service is great. Everyone there should get a raise just for how many hats they have to wear. Drink menu is awesome. Hot dogs are good, a little overdone with toppings, but still a good dog. Ice cream is good. Cheese sticks are probably the best fast food ones I have ever had.
