I'm a sucker for redemption stories. Always good to hear how some places find ways to improve and come back stronger. Case in point, this Cracker Barrel restaurant. Our second trip here yielded a much better dining experience. The French Toast and the Benny Biscuit were both better tasting! Wife loved the French Toast so much that she cleaned her plate. My Benny's hollandaise sauce left me a little wanting in the flavor department, but it was nonetheless a workable dish. The surprise was the hash brown casserole. Man it was so good! The service was prompt and quick. Despite the crowd we were seated fairly quickly and received our orders promptly. My only complaint about the ambiance is it is a little too dark for my liking. It would be nice to let a little of the sunlight in. Might come back this time.

Wow have things changed. I have always considered Cracker Barrel to be the nice upper class Waffle House. After going here I'm now reconsidering that thought. Food quality and quantity has suffered greatly to start with. And the interior is extremely trashy looking as well. I have never seen a Waffle House in this poor condition. Does corporate and the area GM not care anymore?

i don't know where to start there was little to no cheese on my salad my eggs weren't even properly cut the lattuce was so saggy not even crunchy and my chicken was very chewy. I love crack a barrel ? but this is my first time visiting this location and all i can say is im disappointed i dont think im ever coming back again. this presentation is just unacceptable.

I was a solo diner around lunch time. Entire staff from the front end to my server, was very friendly. Service was fast and the food was good. I never eat here, this place makes me reconsider. Overall the ambiance/vibe was welcoming and quiet.

Petfiendly. At least, i think it was kind of a first time because the hostess had to ask and verify. Kaley the Server was nice and friendly. Food was diverse and good for the price . However, not great in term of taste. Steak was overcooked and thin. Mac and cheese was full of sauce and did not taste cheese. Overall not very tasty even with the gravy sauce on the mashed potato. We took 4 different country sides but they came up with 2 choices with macaroni and cheese for both of us. Ambiance a bit open air as we were outside. Had many peoples on the rocking chairs outside chatting.

It was built in 1900 and still has the original tin ceiling, decorative windows and exposed brick. Seating is on two floors, providing a cozy feel if sitting in the loft. They have the "Pear Necessities of Life" This is both a cafe for coffee and teas but also a bakery that serves breakfast and lunch. They are known for their bubble waffles, and crepes. But also have a large menu that has sandwiches, salads, flat breads and breakfast items. There should be something that appeals to even the pickiest eater. Ordering is done at the counter, and you receive a number, and the beverage and food are brought to your table. The menu is posted outside the entrance so you can check it out first. I went with a rose and cranberry lemonade that was a drink special, and the bubble waffle, and added strawberries and bananas. The bubble waffle intrigued me as I had never had one before. It is a honeycomb waffle popular in Hong Kong. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It looks like bubble wrap, which is hard to tell as mine was covered in strawberries and bananas. I enjoyed the texture and flavors of it. The Gilded Pear is a great addition if you're looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat.

But it was worth those few extra minutes for front row seats of the action on the tarmac below. We arrived during their lunchtime buffet hours, although you can also order from their regular menu. I'm not usually a buffet person, but since I wanted to try a little bit of everything it was definitely the way to go. For $18 I got some ribs, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. Not to mention, a side of their delish cornbread, and a scoop of two of my Southern faves: mac & cheese and collard greens. Sadly, I was too full of the deliciousness to make a second trip, but if I had it would have been for a heaping pile of mashed potatoes and a generous scoop of their homemade peach cobbler. If you like airplanes and BBQ, add this to your list for your next visit to the area. They also have a full bar, though on this hot day we were happy with bottomless refills of their refreshing sweet tea.

I wish the brisket sandwich was bigger but it was good nonetheless and the hush puppies were very good.
