I'm incredibly disappointed with Sonic!! I've been a customer here for years and have visited this location multiple times, including 3 times this week (I like them I must admit) So today I was sitting in my car, thumbing through the Sonic app to decide what I wanted to order. I'm a bit indecisive about food choices because I love everything. After about 10 minutes, the carhop, manager, or whomever proceed to give the car next me their order, but as she's doing that, talking to the customer as she's pointing at my car saying that I've been parked in that space for a long ( reminded you it's only 2-3 cars insight this morning) so I rolled my window down to hear the commotion (because what I miss) She then walked over to my car and asked me how she could help me. I told her that I didn't need any help because I already ordered my food. She then proceeded to give me a story about how I should park in the Walgreens lot to order before parking because of poor internet in their parking. I politely let her know my internet connection is fine. As I waited for my food, I was really bothered by the situation. When she finally came back with my food, I asked her if I had done something wrong?? Wanted to know if I couldn't park there. She went on to tell me that people do stupid things like record and that she was very paranoid and didn't trust people. I politely explained to her that I had been a customer of this establishment for years and that she takes my order 95% of the time and I had been in this same car! . But today, she just felt the need to do that, and I was baffled. I don't understand why it's a crime to sit in your car. I never had a camera in my hand, and my phone was never on the dashboard. There was no indication that I was doing anything wrong other than sitting in my vehicle minding my OWN BUSINESS!! Sonic, when does sitting my car become a crime?! I'm so good Sonic. I grew up eating at drive inns. Sonic is a definite local favorite. I tried the new fish sandwich. Not on the menu board or app so gotta ask. Grilled bun and both tartar sauce and pickles the way I prefer them. Good basic fish sandwich... Hot and fresh. Yes it's minced fish... Who cares?? This is fast food. My wife got a garlic bacon burger which she likes a lot...oops didn't put much garlic butter on this one ;). Hey but they onion rings were perfect. My wife likes the cherry limeade... I tried the new Dirty Dr Pepper... Work lime slices, sweet cream, and coconut flavor. Very unique. I'm a Dr Pepper drinker... This is very drinkable but I guess I'm a purist and will stick to the conventional. Fun night out!! Quick service on a Friday. February prices. Don't forget to tip your server. read more

We ordered a Dr. Pepper, Oreo shake, Reese's peanut butter shake, and a caramel shake. We got the Dr. Pepper and that was the only thing that was correct. We got three vanilla shakes. One shake contained peanut butter sauce. The carhop was very polite and immediately went and got her manager. The manager came out and told us if we wanted the correct ice cream order, then we would have to pay them to correct the order. read more

We ordered online with the app. We ordered an ultimate meat and cheese burrito meal and a sausage, egg, cheese burrito meal. The sticker on the burrito said bacon, so we let them know it was wrong. The carhop came out and said it was just the wrong sticker. The bacon labeled burrito was supposed to be the ultimate meat and cheese and it had two small pieces of bacon and 8 tater tots. After the Lockdowns and Facelift As the lockdowns wore down Sonic Drive-In underwent a facelift. It now has a cleaner, more modern look. But they are still suffering from the economic impacts of the continual COVID-19 labor market. This is pretty easy to see by the masks still being worn by all customer contacted employees and the blocking of a number of the drive-in parking slots. I am sure reducing the number of drive-in parking slots channels customers into the drive through lane and cutting down on the labor needed to service those customers. I would say that it is a "text book" example of surviving the impacts of pricing theory (both labor and food price increases), increased demand by freed customers, and potential employees returning to the classroom. Prices have not increased noticeably, but wait times have increased a bit. Quality has remained pretty steady with rare exceptions (I sure would have enjoyed my cheese burger more if it would have had cheese on it). But you still see signifiant lines of cars in the drive through lane. That all said, it is good to see small businesses (each drive-in is a franchised small business) making the adjustments to continue to provide expected services at expected prices - and surviving! That slice of cheese was not a deal breaker, but I might mention it the next time I drive through, or I might not. At this point in the slowed down recovery I still find their food equal to or better than others in their market. I have found many of their competitors sacrificing quality, quantity, taste, and price in their efforts to remain in business during the short term - that slippery slope should cull the uncompetitive from the competitive and make you, the customer the final winner. So my advice is to watch this example, and hang in there for better times. read more

If you are hungry I suggest you go elsewhere 6 3/8 ounces and most of it was tortilla and foil. Spent $10 for half a meal. Sonic is going downhill quick. read more

Starting the New Year 2022, this Sonic, and maybe it's all of them, have increased their prices by 50%. What I used to spend for breakfast in the morning, around $5.50 is now $10.14 for my same selection of items. Their breakfast now is more expensive than McDonalds! Maybe this happened because of the new What-A-Burger Grand Opening down the street! This has prompted me to rethink the breakfast fast food thing in the mornings, and start prepping my own meals & coffee to bring to work. Damn! read more

Outstanding customer service today November 6 while computer registers were disabled. Unlike other businesses that shut down service, the Sonic team kept the food and drinks flowing and calculated the amount owed the old fashion way, and accepted old fashion cash as payment. I love Sonic, so I'm sad that I come here and my order is wrong. I mean, you ask me what my order is 3 times before you pull me forward in the drive-thru, yet I get a completely different sandwich than what I wanted. It seems like a bunch of young kids without any direction. Where is the management? Also, advice for the future...be careful how you place the food in the bag. this sonic is unfortunately always understaffed and ran by teenagers , bless their hearts . Be kind and patient as they are doing the best they can . But always make sure to check for sauces, it seems anytime I ask for ranch I never get it or just one package for a whole meal as if it's deducted from their paychecks . read more

Just ran through here with horrible service. 1:00pm on. Saturday, 2 cats ahead of us, 4 people working inside that we could see and very few at the pull up slots. Ordered 2 waters and a medium coke. 15 minutes before we got our drinks. Sat in front of the window for 5 looking at our drinks on the counter while the employee made 7 other drinks. I grew up on sonic as a kid, every time I forget about the last experience I punish myself again. I don't think it's just this location (however the one located on 150 in greenwood I seem to have better luck) The price of the food keeps going up and the quality goes down. I order the same thing just about every time, chili cheese coney. How do you mess up a hot dog with precooked chili? Oh you either let it sit for what seems like an hour before serving. The chili is never warm enough to melt the cheese. The hotdog is cooked until it is dry and lifeless and half the time they scrape the bottom of the chili pot tp try to "make it stretch". You can usually expect soggy or cold tater tots to wash it down with. About the only semi positive note is I usually come back for a cherry limeade and it is usually good... I am sad to see this Sonic collecting bad reviews - I heart it here. This Sonic makes it VERY difficult to casually drive-by without giving into it's fattening and flavorful sins. As it is my local Sonic, I frequent this one often - they have never messed up my order and have always taken the time to make sure I am served quickly and in a friendly manner. Since I usually just swing by for a flavored soda (HEAVEN!), a drive-through employee often will save me the wait and bring my drink to my car even though it's several cars behind the drive-through window. The facility is always very clean and well lit, AND often promotes local fundraisers. I heart you a little, Sonic. The cholesterol in my heart hearts you, too. read more

I have been in a Happy Hour mood lately; they have half priced drinks from 2-4:00 PM every day. There are so many combinations that you can concoct, but my personal favorite drink is the strawberry limeade that is light on the ice. I also enjoy the Fanta float during the summer. The one downside is that they are always trying to bring new items to the menu, which means that they will drop a great standard like the corn dog. read more

This was my 5th time here, and they never get my order correct. The receipt was correct, but 2 things were missing. The fact that one of those things was a big bright yellow banana = Fail. Was the only car in drive through. Ordered right away. Pulled up to the window and it still took half an hour to get 3 lil' chickies, a "medium" fries, 2 pretzel twists, a "medium" and a small popcorn chicken, mini cheddar bites, and a medium tots. No drinks. The lil' chickies barely had any buffalo sauce on them. It looks like they used a little buffalo sauce packet (the size of those small ketchup packets), poured it into the bun, then put a small chicken finger in there. The chicken was not tossed in the sauce at all. The fries look more like a small fries. The medium popcorn chicken was the same amount as the small. And the girl at the window had tons of attitude. They ignored us in favor of just sitting there and chatting with each other. They acted as if it was a terrible burden to be there and serve food. And this isn't the only time this has happened. It's been going downhill for years. The really sad part is I can't blame it on spoiled teenagers, these were adults. Don't go to this location, it's worth your drive to go to the Douglas location. read more

this location is terrible. Ive been there and waited to order for 20 minutes because the staff is too busy gossiping. Not to mention I never get what I pay for assuming that they even have what I am trying to order. One trip there alone I ordered a blast, two kids meals with tots and slushes and a couple of other drinks. They didn't tell me until they brought everything out that there was no tots, the slush machine was down and they didn't make the right blast. I now drive to the Douglas location instead of this one (that is only a mile from my house) to avoid any problems.
