Unless there's an exorcism occurring in the car park, I find Sonic singularly uninteresting serving barely edible food-like objects from the rapidly expanding acid reflux section of the nation's fast food playbook. However, I have to hand it to these retro obsessed car hops, their double cheeseburger on Texas Toast is not only edible but downright tasty. Score one for the blind squirrel who occasionally finds a nut. Linda Blair loves it so much her head is spinning. Four stars. read more

The food and service is great, my only issue is just the restroom and I think the restaurant needs to be expanded more so it can be better for the customers, plus the restroom should be inside the restaurant not on the outside, I also think it needs more lighting, above all, this place does get crowded from time to time, but I do recommend this restaurant... read more

Food was terrible. I make this mistake every time I decide to give Sonic a chance. It tastes like they microwave the food. When I asked for an item they told me I could not order it at the restaurant and only can order it through the app. When I asked why and what's the difference if I order in store or on the app I was told they didn't have the option on the register to ring up the item. That's some BS sonic, do better. It should not matter if I am using the app or go to the drive thru all items should be available. They always have some of the workers walking around at night while others hustle working making the food, like staff accordingly. Always double check the order you may be missing or given the wrong items in the bag. When will I learn to not give second chances to this place read more

Great experience. Car hops don't seem to run here and mobile order didn't let me select my spot so I pulled into the drive thru. Not sure if this is normal or time of day but everything else was great. Smashburger was fantastic, tots and jalapeño bites were a hit. Coke with sweet cream was fantastic as well. Will definitely stop by again. read more

Burgers extremely unhealthy greasy, hockey puck city , fries hard as popsicle sticks, fries suck . Service ,what service . Ambiance who ?

Excellent service from Alajandra today 5/14 The burgers were sooooo good too! We have had previous problems at this location with the manager Marisol being rude to us so this was definitely very nice! We will just have to make sure to go there when Marisol is off! read more

I can't believe the owner of this location let's this place run like this, for that matter I can't believe corporate sonic let's the owner run like this...the kids cooking have no clue as to what they are doing..I got 2 hot dogs from the drive thru... And they weren't even cooked, I'd swear the cook went through some kind of motions to make it look like the were cooked a little black griddle grease on them...but I was not convinced...I chucked them out the window...I've been to sonics in the south... and they are great...the north east doesn't deserve Sonic...chain won't survive here look at bayonne (closed) look at Totowa (closed)... read more

The drinks tasted like sink water and seemed unhygienic. 1/10 experience. they also were rude.

The ratings for this place seem to be either very good or very bad. All I can tell you is, I loved it. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was fresh and delicious. I had the garlic butter bacon cheeseburger, and the ingredients were well balanced and enjoyable. The fries and onion rings were perfectly crisp and tasty. And the Oreo Sonic Blast was creamy and full of Oreo. I will be returning here soon. read more

After all these years Sonic actually pulled me because I wanted to try the Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger. So I get my hands on it and you can smell that garlic hit you even before open the wrapping. I'm not talking garlic bread I'm talking vampire killing garlic cloud fogging your eyeballs here. And it is messy after the scoop of garlic butter starts to drip through the bun. I take a bite into it and I got the butter oozing out with diced onions, crispy bacon that all crunch in your mouth with a cheese infused beef patty. Just whip out the lobster bib and take another bite. And oh yes I mixed it up with some of those tater tots just to crunch it up more. read more

Went there in Oct 2022, food is always good, but depending how n the time you go, they can be really slow, I was the second one behind another car and it took about 10 mins to get my food order. Perhaps they have staffing issues. Also their packaging can be better. They put my hotdog at the bottom and the food got squished (refer to photos) Not a big deal, but it might be to some other people. Besides that food is good so far and price is great for fast food. read more

Wow, took 3 weeks to reply to the "bad customer service" letter sent. SO, we tried again to see if things had changed only to find it worse! I even informed the employee in the drive thru that the burrito was too small and to please correct it. Here are the photos of your menu pic of a "SUPER SONIC BREAFAST BURRITO" AND WHAT I GOT! The pic that has the fullest burrito is what is on your menu! I got ripped off by your employees because they gave me half of what your menu shows! I've had this issue with this location more than 10 times! TIRED OF IT! IF SOMETHING ISNT DONE, GOOGLE AND EVERYONE ELSE WILL BE GETTING A COPY OF THIS EMAIL! read more

5STARS for just amazing service. We asked for no sauce but changed our mind close after but were so surprised and happy that the bag was already full of all the sauces we love and enjoy!!! PLUS mints. Absolutely blown away. Thank you so much read more

My first Sonic experience was extreme disappointed and frustrated. I order through the mobile app in one of their stalls. We ordered a large tater tot, large onion ring, Honey BBQ Sauced Jump Popcorn Chicken combo and a Sonic Cheeseburger Combo. They completely forgot my burger. I went to their window and waited to be helped. I told them the situation and ordered again with them in person and still received a wrong order. I ordered a cheeseburger which consist of a cheeseburger with diced onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo and no Cheese. I received a bread with burger patty, ketchup, and mayo. As I waited for my order in person, the roller blades were poorly organized outside of the store. It looked like a pile of dirty laundry. read more

First of all the girl in the drive through barely understood what I was asking for. Than when I get to the window I think all is ok, but when I get home they gave me the wrong burgers. How hard is it to follow directions and make the burgers that I ask for???? Horrible! read more

I ordered the Garlic butter bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was BLACK! I had to go knock on the door because there is no inside it's only drive in or they bring to car. When I told her about the bacon she said she was shocked and then I had to wait for another burger while everyone else is eating and my fries are getting cold. By the way the edges of all burgers were crisp. read more

Absolutely atrocious service with possibly the rudest employees in Jersey. I placed a mobile order and the app said to pull into a stall and enter the stall number. After close to 15 minutes of waiting I hit the button on the board and the person who answered told me I had to pick up my food thru drive thru because they wouldn't come outside. There were over 10 cars in drive through but when I told him he just disconnected. I hit buzzer again and he said I should just cancel my order. When I went to window to get food the manager Roger freaked out. When I asked for his last name he wouldn't provide it. The arrogance of this tater tot jockey almost made me laugh. Almost. I'm wondering if he was one of the Twitter employees who recently got fired. Nothing but entitled attitude. read more

This is my favorite fast food joint by far. When they first opened, it even caused traffic on rt. 17 since the cars were lined up to get in since there really weren't any sonic around in jersey. Now that's slowed down a while ago, but I still come here when I crave their fantastic ice cream shakes and corn dogs. They have a lot of space for cars, so you can order in you bin and the kids on roller skaters bring your food. They are very friendly and quick. You can enjoy your food inside the car, or they also have the normal drive-thru. I like the chicken sandwich on toasted breads, jalapeno poppers and cheese fries. They are very cheap and provide good food for the price. Again though, my favorites are their corn dogs and milk shakes. Definitely check this location out. They are very friendly and fast. read more

The drive through right now?Fuck you Sonic. The speaker sucks, the person's microphone was so low we had to ask repeatedly for her to speak up.After attempting to navigate the large menu with tiny writing too far away...Tried to make the best of it ....Then the woman fixed her microphone and we could hear her fine but she had such a heavy accent,we couldn't understand a fucking word she said.We drove off at that point comply frustrated and still hungry.Really Sonic?????? read more

The food here has slowly been getting worse over the years and today was absolutely horrible. The coney dog was way over cooked and schriveled up. Barely any chili or cheese. All around gross. The chili tater tots had a weird taste to it. The burger was over cooked and everything in it tasted old. The only thing good was the soda. Hate to say it but I think this will be my last time at this sonic read more

I came about an hour to close. I was running around all day with a few friends to get some errands done. We all agreed to come here for a bite to eat. I pulled into a stall and was told that the stalls were closed and to go through the drive thru. So that's what we did. The woman could not hear me through the speaker, I had to shout my order. We got our three orders overflowing in one small bag. We moved into one of the stalls to eat. So far a strange experience, but so far so good. I am starving. However, the food was absolute garbage. The fries were soggy and cold. The burgers were also cold as well. Corn dogs were okay, but were slimy. The Sprite must have been out of syrup, it tasted like club soda. What was even stranger was that they turned off all their lights at 11:45pm. They close at 12. Wouldn't you turn your lights off at 12 then? Or are you trying to get everyone out of the parking lot and close early? I certainly will not be back. read more

Decided on a whim to drive over from the city to take my wife out for a cheap (but fun!) Friday night date. Sonic is sonic, so the food was exactly what you expect it to be. My favorite drink of all time is the cherry limeade and she always gets the snickers blast. I also got the turtle pecan master blast to go. Now this place in particular wasn't very crowded at about 6 ok a Friday evening, but the first stall I pull into has a broken screen. I move over one and come to find out the credit card reader doesn't work either. If it were crowded the screen and technical issues definitely would've been a problem. Everything took a little longer than we waThere was this kid working, I believe his name was Jake. But this kid was doing it all--taking orders, inputting orders, delivering orders, sometimes all at once! He was killing it, but they should've gotten my man some skates. Anyway, since there was no rush, we sat in the car and ate our food before heading back. This is pretty much the experience of Sonic and I am always happy about that! read more

I highly suggest everyone who has the sonic app with reloadable gift cards to delete all your info and the app ASAP! I have used this app for a while now, just for someone to hack it. Whoever it was made $70+ in charges to my debit card. All they had to say about the ordeal, was to change my password and let my bank know. They are not willing to help fix the problem. Before contacting Sonic about this, I had already changed my password AND deleted my personal card info. The only thing left was a gift card with money still on it, and yet it was still used AFTER I changed it all. I know for a fact I will not return to any sonic since they obviously do not want to help fix this problem. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite on the way to a wedding yesterday. We went through the drive-thru and I have to say it was close to 15 minutes before we got our order, despite having only 1 car in front of us. What's worse is that all we ordered were 3 hot dogs and 2 sodas. That's it. The person taking the order couldn't get the concept that we wanted two dogs with mustard, one with ketchup. They kept changing the quantity or saying "you want one with ketchup & mustard and two with just mustard?" It took me saying it as if I were repeating it for a 4 year old to finally get the point across. The wait was horrendous, though. Someone came out to give us our sodas and to get our payment but then the car in front of us took off and we got to the window. No customer service, no one said "be right with you." Instead, we were ignored. I still can't believe it took 15 minutes to get 3 hot dogs. WTF were we thinking stopping there? Never again. read more

SINCE I HAVE TO give Sonic a Rating it is a Big Zero!. This Specific Sonic is an Embarrassment, a Disappointment, and an insult to the Surrounding Community in General!. The food I order was FAR from Correct. The Chicken I ordered was Supposed to be a large, it was a medium. The Fries were Seriously UNCONSUMABLE!. I wasted $30.32 just to get upset and Go without a quick Dinner. Thanks Sonic you Disappointed me and Lost a Customer. Sigh...I liked coming here 10 years ago...I remember this place being jammed packed and waiting in line to get in. But now....there were no cars...Out of any and every chicken sandwich they have in the world, this would be last and then some. I should have read the comments before going there. Chili coney dog was placed on microwave so it came super hot but with disgusting texture, you are better off with the chili cheese hot dog at 7-11 for $1.79 instead of this one for $3.99. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the Chicago hot dog was a little better, still feels like it was on the microwave but not for long since they do not need to melt any cheese like in the coney. Still the heat from hot dog made the tomato has a weird texture as well, imagine steamed tomato. It was edible so that added 1 star. But don't waste your time and money going here. read more

Sonic what is going on? Other than a pandemic! I was just at the sonic in Meridian on celebration and we ordered a Reeses overload in a waffle cone. When the boy brought it out to our car he didn't have any gloves on and he was carrying the waffle cone at the top where there is no paper!!!! Are you serious??!! All types of food establishments should be going above and beyond not to touch our food it was just as if you people had never heard of coronavirus! I wasn't about to give it back and ask them to make me another one I've worked in too many food places and know what happens to your food when you send it back Lord knows what they would've done with it back in the kitchen so I took it and promptly threw it in the trash when I got home.
