Great massage at a great price. Really helped work out some of the tension in my back.

Just what the doctor ordered (not a legit doctor) lol Since I moved to Long Beach about 4 years ago, the first thing I looked for was a massage spot. I was driving down 7th street and decided to check this place out. Everytime I walk in I am always immediately greeted by the gentleman working the front desk right by the entrance. I usually asked for an hour massage but they have a few options. I usually decided on the 30/30, which gives you 30min body and 30min foot massage. I always pay up front which I am totally cool with and then I get guided to a private room to undress and get into a bed. Shortly after they come in and ask if you want the massage medium or hard...I of course ask for hard because that's how like my massages. I will say they are very good with giving you what you pay for if that includes time, products, and service all around. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk with offering you the service and payment ls to the actual massage. I have been coming here religiously for years and anytime I have friends or family in town I make sure we stop by for a nice relaxing time. They also offer gift cards for beautiful gifts and don't worry about parking, tons of parking in an open lot. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as I always do. SYoY :) read more

Another hidden gem in the neighborhood at a great price! The place is always clean, and I've never had a bad massage here. Every therapist I've had has been consistently good and always listens if you need the pressure adjusted. I love bringing my out-of-town guests here--it's the perfect way to add a little relaxation to their vacation. Highly recommend! read more

I was quite disappointed with the massage I had here. There seemed to be lack of technique and pressure overall, as the massage was mostly done with palms and heel of the hand. I voiced which areas of my back I had concern for and wanted more focus, but I left feeling the same as I had walked in. I appreciated that they could accommodate same-day service and even 1-2 hours ahead of desired time. Parking lot available outside. read more

Felt Pressured to Tip Lack of technique with massage. Felt like the masseuse used very little effort only using palm of hands and fingertips to massage. read more

My left lower back was hurting so I decided to get a massage. I have only gotten a handful of massages in my lifetime, but had bookmarked Song Massage when I noticed it while driving around Long Beach. I called a little over an hour in advance to inquire about availability for the 70-minute combo back and foot massage. I am sure they take walk-ins as well, but I wanted a certain time. Upon entering, I was asked to pay first. There was a $1 fee to pay with credit card, which was reasonable, but I felt like it was hard to decide how much to tip prior to actually receiving the massage if you also want to tip with card. I then used the restroom and was brought to one of the rooms (partitioned with curtains). I was instructed to undress to my underwear and then lay on the table. I had a female masseuse who asked if I spoke Chinese, to which I replied yes, so we proceeded to converse in Mandarin for the duration of the massage. The massage was very relaxing and comprehensive, and ended up being essentially a full-body massage. I didn't get quite as much focus on my back as I would have liked, but I really enjoyed the hot stone component. I also was wondering if they would soak my feet prior to the foot massage part but for this massage they did not. Overall, an excellent massage with very peaceful calming music and a quiet environment. Pretty good value for the price, $55 for 70 minutes ($65 after the credit card fee and a $9 tip) as of January 2024. Would recommend! read more

Song Massage - Exterior/entrance. - Massage Near Me - Long Beach, California

Highly recommend this place. Very relaxing quiet with good prices & the massages I receive are always 10/10

It was $100 total for a couple massage for 70 minutes for total body w supposed focus on feet but I wish they used their fingers more to massage all my tight knots in my shoulders/back and the acupressure points in my feet but rather they use mostly their palms and heel of their hand. They do use hot stones which were HOT but I got used to it which then felt good. I appreciate they ask the beginning what kind of pressure to use. Overall it was relaxing and affordable. read more

Excellent full body massage which was followed by a foot scrub and head massage. Long hours make getting an appointment very convenient. Will definitely be back. read more

I had an amazing massage, I forgot to ask the ladies name, but it was a lot of pressure (I like it hard) and it was 90 mins long! With a $20 tip the whole thing was $101! (One dollar charge for card) I highly recommend I can't wait to go back read more

Steve gave me the best massage I've had in years. I did massage professionally for 20 years and I know a thing or two... and so does he. I was a bit of a mess and really needed help. He really knows how to work the different areas of the body. Firm but not too deep. I did the 90 min session and had some unusual requests based on my specific needs and situation and he was able to accommodate easily. I immediately booked another session for 2 hours for next week. Very reasonably priced. Great experience. I feel like a whole new man! read more

I had a Groupon gift to visit this massage parlor . It was a late apportionment but it was well needed . The masseuse was super nice and professional and no point did I feel uncomfortable. I highly recommend this place ! read more

Literally the most boring massage ever!! She used only one hand for 90% of the 90 min service. I had to tell her multiple times to actually apply pressure. Didn't realize I needed to tell a masseuse to use both hands! Also, it's cold in there, so once they put lotion on you, you feel cold and wet. Just another bad business selling their services for cheap on Groupon. Makes sense why. Definitely not returning read more

Love this place. The massage therapists have always been wonderful and listen when I ask for gentle vs my partner who requests a rough down. Been there four times and will continue to attend. read more

Highly recommend this place for a great massage at a great price! I called last minute hoping to get a massage for myself and my two daughters, and they were able to accommodate all three of us at 8:00 pm. The therapists were fantastic - we all felt so relaxed and refreshed. This isn't a fancy, high-end spa with private rooms; instead, you get a clean and organized facility with a lovely, friendly staff and curtained sections that offer a good sense of privacy. If your priority is excellent massage therapists without the premium price tag, look no further! We'll be back for sure. read more

I purchased a groupon for a 60 min massage with hot stones for this place and scheduled the appointment a week in advance with a male massage therapist. I was a little apprehensive cause I read reviews on here about not so great experiences with the staff redeeming the groupons prior to the appointment and if you were late or missed your appointment you were sh*t out of luck... Place is small and in a congested parking lot but I found street parking to avoid the congestion. Since I also scheduled the first appointment of the day (open 7 days a week at 10am) the parking lot was empty and since there were no other customers (the rooms are side to side & separated by drapes) there was minimal noise but you could still hear the staff's footsteps and talking going on. As for the massage itself, when I scheduled it I requested a male massage therapist and an older lady entered so I told her I had requested a male and she gladly obliged. The male massage therapist was a small guy but packed a good punch for it being a swedish massage (they do not offer deep tissue - I choose males because they tend to be really strong and can get to my knots better). The hot stone treatment was a welcome addition especially on my lower back. Overall the quality was decent for the price but would only recommend this place if you get massages regularly and don't require a deep tissue massage for your joints and muscles. read more

I have received massage at different places over the years due to some sciatic issues and work related strains. David at this location is one of the best massage therapist I have ever had. He is very considerate of pressure and asks along the way. He learns areas of challenge over regular appointments and focuses on healing those pains. I am a big bodied person and I hold a lot of tension which requires a stronger hand and considerable intuitive response to trigger points. David will feel one area flair up while he is working another, and ensure the pain is immediately addressed rather than stay on routine. I feel better for longer and I appreciate the hard work he puts in to help me relax. The prices here are very reasonable and hot rocks are included. My advice to customers is if you are not skinny, tip the price of 2 people. This is hard work, don't be cheap when trying to find wellness. read more

No flow, no technique and poor massage etiquette. While I was face with my arms hanging off to the side he positioned his legs so my arm was between his legs. I slide my arm out each time he did it. YES each time. He laid top of his body on my back and head. It was so awkward and annoying. Best part was when it was over. I understand you should communicate with your masseuse but I'm not paying to educate someone with such poor skills. read more

This place was able to accept my walk-in request when all other places nearby to me were booked for the day. I only waited about fifteen minutes or so when I did arrive for a masseuse. Pricing was more than fair compared to most other locations I've been to. The massage itself was good. I asked for a 60 minute Swedish massage for full body. I asked for medium pressure. They applied hot stones to my back which was a plus to the experience. I loved my experience here and left more relaxed. Everyone was friendly and when you walk in the atmosphere is calming and quiet like any other spa. I highly recommend this location for any massage needs you may have. Why did I wait so long to try this place out. Went at 4pm on a Wednesday and was seen right away. The gentlemen were nice and the price was great for a one hour massage. It was clean and I loved the gold fish tank by the entrance. I did the Swedish massage with lavender oil and hot stone. If you prefer strong massages then this place is for you! They also work on pressure points in the hips, shoulder, face/head. Very respectful and polite and offered a cold water afterwards, will be visiting routinely. read more

I was never contacted by the owner even though I responded with the date and time I was there. Probably to make it look like he was going to do something. I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I just had to share my experience at Song Massage with David. My partner and I booked a 90-minute couple's massage on Oct. 3rd, and it was nothing short of amazing. I believe we had a Swedish massage, and David was absolutely fantastic. His technique was on point, applying the perfect amount of pressure throughout the session. He really took his time focusing on my head, neck, shoulders, back, and legs, which made the whole experience incredibly relaxing. The front desk staff mentioned that David is very popular, and I completely understand why--he has an intuitive gift for knowing exactly where to focus and how to relieve tension. Afterward, I couldn't stop telling my partner about it (to the point where they got a bit jealous!). I've been coming to Song Massage for a few years now, and they've consistently impressed me with their professionalism and cleanliness. It's always a comfortable environment--no awkward or uncomfortable vibes at all. If you're feeling stressed or just need some serious relaxation, I highly recommend heading over to Song Massage and booking an appointment with David. You won't regret it! read more

Thank you for the amazing massage today! I took my sisters here for their birthdays. All 3 of us enjoyed our massages! The staff are very nice and professional. My husband and I go for a massage bc he thought it was a good idea. This place seemed normal, like any other strip mall/Thai massage place we've gone to. We walk in no appt, they charge $55 for 1 hour, per person. We pay and they put us in a couples room. My husband and I both have sheets over us and I never get the sheet removed when she's working on my back? She is just strangely poking me with pressure through the sheet? After 15 minutes I look over and my husband is getting an actual massage with the sheet lowered, oil and motion/pressure directly applied to his back? I ask the masseuse why my husband is getting an actual massage and it's completely different? She doesn't speak she steps out and gets the manager. I didn't ask for the manager and was not dressed which was extremely alarming. He asks and I repeat my question, he asks if I want oil and I said that's not the point I'm not getting any movement or pressure either, he is next to me and is clearly getting a totally different massage. This makes no sense why he's getting a totally different experience when we asked and paid for the exact same Swedish massage. I don't know if this is or isn't relevant, my husband is Mexican but presents white and I am very obviously a person of color. I say I'd like the service to stop and be refunded and my husband can continue. I get dressed and when I come to the front he wants to charge me half price of the non-massage! He claims I was in there for 25 minutes and I explained I hadn't even parked for 20 minutes according to my phone location history, and I showed it to him. Between the charging and getting dressed and undressed was still total 20 minutes. He then asked me to leave a tip? For the person giving me a non-massage? I decline and am pretty surprised he is asking! I have no idea what is happening here, but would not recommend. read more

We purchased the couples massage for 110 (10 off of the original price) We were this close to buying the Groupon which is about 60 more so thankfully we called in first. As for the massage, this is exactly what we needed. I love it when the massage hits hard so I requested that and I felt all the knots loosen up. My partner loves it soft and she said it was just right for her. This is the kind of massage that is needed to recharge and destress. The ladies were nice and very professional. The atmosphere is chill and it plays the same tune the whole time. Also, they also went the whole 90 mins which is impressive considering other places cut off earlier which is why I prompted a nice tip :) (which they also don't lounge around for) Overall I'd say it's the best massage I've ever had. I'd definitely come back here again. read more

This place is really good and a quality massage for the very reasonable price . The space is clean and calming. They always use the perfect pressure and take their time to make sure I feel relaxed . The first time I came here, the workers did a lot of talking to eachother during the massage so it took away from the experience, but the last couple times it's been quiet and enjoyable . For people leaving negative reviews,if you want some fancy ritzy massage go Pay $300 at Terranea Resort, but if you want a simple enjoyable massage to relieve the tension,at a FAIR PRICE, then this is the spot read more

Very nice place! The massage was great. We did a couples massage. They did a full body massage, facial massage, and foot scrub and massage. They do have male masseuses. Also, it's a mix of pressure. My SO said his was perfect with some hard moments, but I prefer deeper and harder massages so I loved it. (Wish it was more time of deep tissue) They gave us little waters after. Very nice place also, it's calming. Just do note that it's not sound proof. We had two rude people come in loud and laughing interrupting our moments of peace. Other than that, I highly recommend it. read more

First thing I'd like to note is that you need to call ahead for an appointment! The first time my husband and I just walked in and unfortunately they were booked for the day but they scheduled an appointment for us right there. We went back for a couples massage (our first) and we really enjoyed ourselves! The massage was much needed and so lovely, it felt like I took a nap. The hot stones are my favorite part, and they use an exfoliating scrub for your foot massage! We will definitely be going back for future massage dates :) read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I purchased a massage through Groupon and called to make my appointment. He confirmed that there was availability and booked my appointment. I was extremely excited and well overdue for some self care. When I arrived, the man behind the counter had very negative energy. He was extremely dismissive but perked up while a (white) couple was exiting the place. As I continued to check in, he said that I did not book my appointment right and that he gave it away to someone else. He proceeded to say that I need to book at least a day before the appointment, but he gave my appointment away the day of. So I tried to reschedule and he said just cancel it. It was more than clear that I was not welcomed there. I have never felt so dismissed and disrespected. read more
