I can't believe I never knew about this spot! A coffee shop AND sneaker boutique in one? Yeah, this is my type of place. They have a solid collection of sneakers and usually carry Jordan releases (definitely check ahead for drop dates). I was debating on what to grab, and the staff gave me great recommendations. I actually came back on a different day for a sneaker drop no regrets at all. So happy I found this gem. :) And the funny part? When someone asks where I got my shoes from and I say "Somewhere," it sounds like I'm gatekeeping but I'm literally telling the truth. Genius branding if you ask me. lol Since I was already there, I had to try one of their seasonal matcha drinks: CARAMEL BUTTER MATCHA - $8.50 I ordered it with oat milk. The blend was smooth and well-balanced. I personally would've loved it just a tad sweeter, but honestly, no complaints. It was still really good. The staff? Super helpful, friendly, and just a whole vibe. The energy in there is welcoming and cool without being overwhelming. They also sell merch, which feels very intentional and on-brand not just random pieces thrown in. Speaking of branding, I LOVE the name and the decor. It's clean, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing. And that blue bag? So fire. Definitely giving Nipsey blue vibes This is one of those spots I'll be back to whether it's for a sneaker drop or a matcha fix.

While I was waiting to attend a holiday luncheon I stopped in here to grab a matcha and finish some work. I had an amazing experience and lo and behold they had a blue matcha latte on the menu which contained blue spirulina. I was in heaven. Between the nice and friendly staff, the music and vibes, free WIFI and delicious matcha. This is a must try. It's in close proximity to everything and you get a great item for the price. I'll definitely be back.

Super chill vibe. Right near the metro with street parking as well. Decently priced coffee and a few other drinks that are really good. They also have pastries and merch you can buy. Staff is nice and friendly. The music played is good. Store is to the side of the cafe with a shoe display and clothing rack with hats and bags. 3 bar seating by the window and 5 stools by the counter and a built wooden bench with 3 small tables. 4 outdoor tables. They do have a ramp which is nice for accessibility.

If I could give somewhere a rating higher than 5 stars, I would! I already loved somewhere before I started coming to the cafe to get the matcha. I'd normally go to the other location just to check the shoes out and pick up some shoes if I wanted them but once I found out about the cafe, I started taking that drive to the other side lol! I loveeee matcha and they make it just right at this location! I get it just about everyday to start my day and it gives me than energy boost I need to get my day going. I do get tempted from time to time and pick up some shoes but I try my best not to lol! The matcha is totally worth it (not too expensive) and they're always so nice when I go in, they know what drink I want now before I even say it and that makes me laugh . They also have loyalty cards and they stamp it at the cafe when you purchase a drink so I thought that was pretty cool too! Everytime someone asks me where I get my matcha, I say "somewhere" and they're like no really and I'm like "somewhere" lol because they don't think it's an actual place so I thought it was time for me to finally do a review on one of my favorite spots! If they put one in Maryland I'd be set right before I go to work but this is on the way to my job so it works out!

This review is for the coffee only- not the retail!!!Wow! Walked in and the vibe was amazing so 2 stars for that ok. Relocating from LA back to DC and I have been looking for good coffee shops and cafes. This one is it! The real deal, I ordered the blueberry banana chai latte with a shot of espresso and boy did it deliver, it was perfectly made and the flavors meshed so well together. Looking forward to trying their other options. Barista was awesome as well!

This place was not what we expected - we were headed to a different coffee shop, walked passed here, and couldn't not go in. It's such a cool, unique spot. Mostly a clothing shop, very modern and clean. And they just happen to serve coffee. Good coffee. Their menu is simple, but everything you need. And great espresso. A few flavor options for your latte, but nothing overwhelming. Definitely a craft experience, the barista was helpful and made each drink individually. Very cool spot, I'm not sure why it doesn't show up for coffee but I would definitely come here often if I lived or worked in the area.

If you had told me two weeks ago that I'd have one of the best matchas of my life at a coffee shop inside a sneaker store, I wouldn't have believed you lol! This spot was such a pleasant surprise....They also offered a variety of dairy-free milk options, which is a must for me, and the matcha was perfectly blended. I'm so glad I gave this place a try! I will for sure be back!

Very chill spot, free wifi to do a little bit of work. Coffee was good and service was quick. Need to come back to check out the shop in the back!

Somewhere is an incredible, local coffee shop and clothing retailer. I've visited this place twice and can't wait to come back soon. The barista is super friendly and patient while answering questions. They also sell freshly roasted coffee beans with a selection of various processing types and country of origin. Each coffee is finely tuned and tastes delicious. You can also order your drink with the coffee beans they sell. Great for those trying to taste the options before selecting their coffee bag. I got a bag of their Natty Cheffe and look forward to trying it at home. Yet to try their matcha but I'm looking forward to it! They also have a good selection of clothes. Each piece like art: beautiful and unique. Well worth checking them out while you're waiting on your coffee. Great study spot!

This is a cool spot! It's a joint clothing store and coffee shop, and it's really unique in its offerings and setup. The quintessential offering here is the blue matcha (might look a bit grey in this pic but I swear it's blue) and it's actually delicious and tasty too. One of my favorite matchas I've had. I've also tried a banana bread and cold brew here and have enjoyed everything I have. I'm happy Navy Yard has something like this, it's unique and the workers (security, baristas) are all wonderful.

Super cute, unique store with cool clothes & sneakers. I came for the blue matcha latte though! Which is actually REALLY good & not just a hyped up drink. Will be coming back to try more of their menu items.

Delicious pour over with notes of nuts for me. Drip was also good (per my wife). We've been trying local cafes near our Courtyard hotel.

Whew weeee!! This…read morelocation was something to talk about. I have been dying to get in this place for years but always on a tight schedule to get elsewhere. This was a Lion and Tigers and Bears OH MY situation! It's quite crowded in here. Not cluttered but crowded. They have soooo much stuff and it's all in order. This place could be 2-3 floors easy!! I saw all of my fav brands at great prices. They have a huge selection of high-end wear for a great price. They have a huge selection of summer, spring and winter wear. The cosmetics and body care... chef's kiss!! They have everything in every color/ scent/ size!! Cool accessories, luggage galore, etc. I did not take a gander at the shoes as I had a show nearby to attend. I bought 2 gorge blouses and a short sleeve loose fitting denim blue top. I will revisit very soon for some more shopping greatness.

Lots of great "stuff" and finds....if you have the patience to look around and dig for it…read more This Nordstrom Rack is loaded with brand name products, designer clothing, jewelry, household goods and all at decent prices. The only gripe I have specifically with this location.....is that it is waaayyy too cluttered-- overstocked with just stuff everywhere! And, let's talk about organization to make things easy to find....forget it. It sort of reminds me of Filene's Basement (on Connecticut Ave) from back in the day or a " sub high-end" Thrift store. If you park on the street nearby this store, you better load up your parking meter to the max.... Because you're going to need the time to roam around this place. Note: There is no parking lot or garage..... so you don't want your parking meter to expire because we all know parking tickets in DC is like paying rent or the amount of a one night hotel stay. lol Other than this, not a bad shopping experience here. There's something for everyone when it comes to looking for bargain clothing that's from designer labels and semi on trend. One plus I will say about this Nordstrom Rack location, is that they carry a large selection of men's business and casual clothing. This location carries tons of business suits, dress shirts, ties and business casual slacks-pants. I think the reason for this is because this location is centrally located in the downtown DC area and business district that is primarily surrounded by law offices, lobby firms, consulting firms and federal government agencies. You often don't find this at a lot of Nordstrom Rack and bargain clothing, places like Marshall's/TJMaxx around the DMV. There are also tons of men's athletic shoes, casual sneakers, great running shoes and dress shoes. In all, you can't go wrong shopping here. Although, the Pentagon City location is more my speed. This location is not all bad. Lots of good finds and decent customer service. Just have a little patience and time to roam around this treasure trove!

I had a good time visiting lots of stores during the day. I always use a cross body bag whenever I'm downtown. When I use the red line at night, I take Chinatown's metro stop. The streets are well lit and I have less unsavory characters to deal with. The police have a presence at Capital One Arena and the convention center. There are new businesses on the Mezzanine level that are interesting. A case study is whether Wolfgang Puck's Bar & Bites will stay. A pop art installation has replaced Ann Taylor on the mezzanine level. The space that housed Victoria's Secret is still empty (rip). My Swatch store (rip) is where Amtrak passengers wait for trains. H&M is now on the lower level (where Borders Books was located). Walgreens is hanging in there too. Chipotle is always a favorite (but the 4th St location is closer). The main hall is a beautiful event space. All that marble floor used to have benches where DMV residents & visitors could sit and visit. It is one of the reasons I don't hang out inside that gorgeous building as often. Most of the seating is gone. The Amtrak gates are just gates. All of the seating was removed after homeless people caused injury to Amtrak employees. Union Station is beautiful. We used to visit more often. I loved trying items in the food court. The vendors change over more frequently. Wendy's is gone. Taco Bell is hanging in there. Raising Cane's is there (as of 9/26). We attended the grand opening of Halal Guys. I'm happy they are still in business. The "suggested rule" for dining in the food court area is staying for 30 minutes. I have never been asked to leave when visiting with friends but we're usually in Chinatown where places are open after 8pm. The food court shuts down promptly at 8pm. If you are lingering after that time, all the other tables and chairs have been stacked and moved. Wok a Holic was a disappointment but meat eaters can find a dish (just don't order fried rice). Unos was a big loss (rip). We loved having pizza or pasta and two floors of places to dine. The main purpose for visiting Union Station is taking Metro, Amtrak, a bus or the Marc Train. The loss of the Circulator buses is another reason I don't visit frequently. Enterprise Car Rental has taken over dozens of spaces in the parking garage. The expansion project fell apart & was halted. The Postal Museum is across the street and worth a visit. If you park in Union Station you can still get a few dollars off of your parking by validating your ticket at the bus entrance level.
