They did have a lot of hats/caps and stickers for your car, etc. It seemed like they had a lot more football jerseys than NBA jerseys, too. The clerk was very friendly and tried hard to sell us on what he had so I give them some props for salesmanship. If they just could clean the place up a little and maybe make it a little brighter it would probably have more appeal. I'm sure they could have ordered something for us but since we don't live in that neighborhood we wanted something right then. If you live close by and are looking for something in particular and they don't have it, it seems like they'd be more than willing to make sure you get it. For what we needed though it didn't have a great selection.

But I can't speak to the bike dpt as I wasn't there for bikes. Needing some hiking gear for an upcoming trip, I went upstairs and Tommy was quick to see if I needed help, even while he was helping someone else already. The back of the shoe dug into my ankle and took a chunk of flesh. Had to treat ankle and put a band aid to stop the bleeding. 7/31/2013 11:00 A.M. Went to the store in person to return the shoes. The person in the store advised that the policy is that once the shoes have been worn even only one time, there are no returns or exchanges. He advised that I could speak with the owner but he would not get to the store until 3:00 P.M. 3:00 P.M. I called the store and spoke with a rude employee. He said the owner might get in at 4:00 or whenever. I asked for the owner's name and he said Nash, Mr. Nash. He went on to angrily quote the store policy to me and yelled since you now own the shoes if you cannot wear them, donate them to charity and hung up. I called back and spoke with George. I tried to get the name of the person who hung up on me and he said there was no way he could tell, there were 3 of them in all and he was not sure who it was. I explained my situation and George said he was the person I spoke with in the store earlier that day. He said the owner was not in yet but it was best to not call and see him in person. I advised that made no sense because no one could say for sure if and when the owner was coming in and I would have to keep going to the store multiple times in hopes of catching up with the owner. George re-stated what the policy was and said he did not have the authority to override it, only the owner could. Of course parking is rare in DC so hubs parked up the block illegally and dropped me off. I have only ever been to one other location so I did not know what to expect. As I walked in, I also did not have any idea of what I wanted to purchase so I was randomly browsing the store. I started to pick up items I thought I might like and would try on. There were no staff by the fitting rooms and they were open so I took it upon myself to enter and try my items on. The fitting room was spacious enough, with several places to hang clothing and a stool. Trying on clothes is a workout so I usually purchase items and return them if they do not work out. Since lululemon's clothing works a little different for me, I decided to try them on this time. I did decide on a pair of wide leg pants. I found the right size but not the color I wanted. When I was leaving the fitting room, an associate was there offering me assistance. She took the items I didn't want and looked up the pair of pants I wanted. Unfortunately, this store did not have it but she informed me they can order it and ship it to me. They did not seem work $128 but I did like them a lot. She also helped me at the register and ordered the pants for me. I did not catch her name but she was very helpful, personable, and friendly. I will be back!

The matcha's are a beautiful green color that don't taste like grass, but also don't taste super sweet as if I'm drinking sweet milk. My personal favorite at the moment is the Tokyo fog, which is an earl grey tea with matcha cold foam. The staff are very kind, welcoming, & knowledgeable about the drinks and clothing/ shoe collections. I personally love that they have their own merch that you can buy & you can wear/ use it without feeling like you're a walking logo lol. I get anxiety when shopping due to having so many options or other stores breathing down my neck, but the staff makes it so easy for me to shop & feel good about my purchases. It tasted like blue-colored whole milk with a slight "sea umami" flavor from the spirulina. Definitely not worth how much I paid for in terms of quality and quantity.

The day I stopped by, they had just gotten a new shipment in and there were tons of cute styles to choose from in colors perfect for fall. Additionally, they sell accessories like yoga mats, water bottles, and candles. After walking around the shop for a while, I bought a long-sleeved running top from Oiselle to wear during fall training runs, and I love it. It's breathable and warm, and already a staple athletic top in my closet. I also saw a really cool running tank with "Hill Runners" written down the back that I have my eye on, so I'll definitely be back. I'm so glad I stumbled across this place on a walk around my neighborhood a few weeks ago. It's convenient, sells some of my favorite brands, and is different from the lululemon stores around DC, but best of all Summit to Soul is invested in their customers and the surrounding community. Apparently, they host workouts, runs and community events in southeast DC. I really want to join their Wednesday night long run squad, take advantage of the yoga classes, and become part of the running community here.
