Sim's taste is incredible. He has been an excellent educator on how different patterns and small details of a suit make you stand out in any environment, for any occasion. One of the first things Sim said to me when I first went to Brimble & Clark was that he encouraged me to visit the other bespoke suit tailors because he was confident that the $500 suits that were made in China wouldn't parallel his work. He was right. The Spalla Camicia shoulders that Sim can provide are nothing less than a status symbol and suits Sim provides will have people stopping you on the street to compliment and admire. The suits at B&C are slightly more expensive, but they are worth it through and through. Construction and details aside, Sim is very accommodating in fitting your schedule and works non-stop to meet his customers needs. Sim and the team are awesome! I'm not a very fashion-forward guy. I wear a lot of sweats and oversized shirts... But Sim was able to guide me in the right direction from fit and style down to the type of buttons you should choose. Went in for one suit and ended up getting two! I showed up for a meeting and immediately got compliments on my blue windows and wales (I think that's the pattern?) suit. The experience from soup to nuts was top notch. Scheduling was easy and flexible, as I had to make a fair number of requests to accommodate my work travel and parenting obligations. Customer service was exemplary and obviously prioritized from conception. Each of my three appointments was a true delight. Sim, the owner, takes the time to get to know you. I never felt rushed or pressured. His suggestions are demonstrative of good taste and refinement, yet they are timely and stylish. In DC, home of the boxy $3k custom suit, this is a real find. I originally intended to purchase one suit, but during the initial appointment I developed an immediate sense of confidence in Sim and ordered a second suit and a custom shirt. On to the final product... The suits are extremely well crafted, stylish, and timeless - fine examples of Italian tailoring. Sim made excellent suggestions regarding fabric and cut that resulted in suits that I will treasure. This is a tough feat for a 5'9" man weighing in at 190lbs. My shirt, a white bird's eye, has elegant details and is of obvious quality. Sim also has a fine selection of ties and suspenders, at a fair price. I've ordered clothing from Brimble & Clark and have several complaints about this business. During my interactions with the owner, Sim, I did not feel like he genuinely cared about this customers. Not only was his tone condescending and he did not listen, he tried to force his style on me. It is clear that this is not his area of comfort, and the customer service is definitely lacking. His clothes are also quite overpriced, even for custom clothing, and my clothes took 2-3 months to be returned. I'm guessing that this is because Brimble and Clark buys the clothes from overseas (e.g., Europe). In my experience with buying customer clothes, 2-3 months seems excessive. Overall, I get the impression that this is not the place to buy customer clothing and that the owner is outside of his comfort zone. read more

Sim is the best in the country! I fly from Houston to get my suits from him, and would travel much further if I had to. The quality, design, and experience is second to none. I have tried high end suiting companies in the past including ISAIA, Brioni, and others, and nothing compares to the level of detail that Sim puts into his work. When I transitioned out of the Army last year, I had been wearing the same outfit (well, uniform) to work everyday, for nearly a decade. Needless to say, I was lost when it came time to buy some "real clothes." I don't even remember how I found my way to B&C...but I'm glad I did. I bought two suits and a few shirts from Sim, had numerous fittings, and thoroughly enjoyed my time with his team. It was more than just a fitting/transaction--they gladly answered all of my questions, offered professional attire tips and tricks, and made me feel at home. Each appointment was fun, and their expertise is evident in all that they do. When the suits came in, they were so awesome that I was honestly afraid to wear them, for fear of messing them up! Remember--I was a guy that had never worn anything other than budget retail made-to-measure (and extremely infrequently, at that) and an Army dress uniform that had been issued to me. At first, I only took my new suits out of the bags for special occasions. But eventually, I started wearing them regularly (as I should have from the beginning). My appreciation for the suits has only grown with time. They're comfortable, high quality down to the smallest detail, and will make you look and feel great. I first heard of Brimble and Clark in a Washington Post article that featured Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins in an awesome looking burgundy blazer, and started following their Instagram page to see more of what they had to offer. As summer 2016 was approaching, I was looking for a few suits to wear for some events I had lined up, so I decided to book an appointment. That same day Sim contacted me and we set an appointment for the following day at his place off of Mass ave in DC. I had never had a custom suit and knew very little about suits at the time, but Sim walked me through all the options and detail in a custom suit from different fabrics, colors, lapel styles, inside lining, suspender options, pockets, etc! I was amazed at how much control I had! After going over some recommendations and choosing all the details and options, Sim and I talked a little about my desired fit, and took a ton of measurements down. My goal as to look as sharp as his mannequins so I ended up ordering 2 suits that night, which required half of the total bill as a deposit. (He was able to take my american express card as payment which I was pretty happy about). After leaving that night I felt like I was ready for suit trivia lol, as I soaked up a ton of information on suits from Sim. Fast forward 6 1/2 weeks, Sim called me to let me know my suit was ready. When he pulled them out of the bag, I couldn't do anything but crack a smile, they looked awesome! I tried each one on, and Sim was great in making sure I was totally satisfied with the fit, which included a few minor alterations free of charge. I came back the following week, Sim had me try on the suits again to make sure I was happy with alterations, and at the moment I knew my wardrobe would change forever... One thing I love about the suits I got is that they are pretty versatile. I have worn the full suit to formal events, and the jacket by itself with a t-shirt in less formal events. If you haven't had a custom suit before, you'll fall in love with the amount of compliments and the feeling of having a custom suit (It even has my name embroidered in the lining!). 5 stars from the level of quality, to the amazing service. I will definitely be buying more custom shirts and suits from Brimble and Clark in the near future and have already referred a few friends who have also fallen in love with this brand! read more

Received horrible service from sim. I ordered 3 suites from him he said they would take 6 weeks. After 6 months half of the clothes came in with all the wrong measurements. He sent them back 3 months 3/4 of them came in still the wrong measurements but was some what clothe enough to fit he said he would get back to me with the other items. It's been 14 months I have not received those items or my shirt he said he would throw in for free as an inconvenience. And have called 20 times I get an email saying there is a 1/4 balance and need to pay it omg is this serious do not trust. Secondly the material is questionable.
