My pup is exactly 16 weeks and 2 days today and ever since we got him on August 12 we've decided that this place would be our go to vet clinic due to the convenience it provides us- close to our home and their weekend office hours. Unfortunately I've decided that after the communication breakdown that happened on Saturday 10/7 that we will no longer be clients here. I've included the feedback that I sent to the clinic using their electronic system. At this time no one from their office has contacted me regarding my experience. I do not recommend coming to this place and giving them two stars because the Vets that we have seen seem knowledgeable and caring but their techs need better training on how to provide quality customer service. Feedback sent to Union Square Vet on 10/10- Prior to posting my online review I wanted to share my experience on Saturday 10/7. Being a first time puppy owner is already stressful and when we noticed that we were running late for our 1130am appointment, we called the Somerville Office. I told the Front Desk Staff that we were running late and that we were down the street and would be there in 8 minutes. Our little pup had an accident a few moments earlier which caused our delay. Since the day we got our pup we have been going to Union Square Vet- August 14. We walked into the office and checked in and said we were going to take our pup to pee. Within 5 minutes we were back and we were called to a back room which appeared to store vaccines and the like in a fridge. The tech (unfortunately I didn't get her name) seemed knowledgeable however I should have noticed the red flag when she took his temperature incorrectly and had to place the device into his private area twice causing him to whine. We were told the vet would be with us shortly. After 25 minutes later and having techs come in and out of the room, I decided to go to the front desk and ask what was going on. After explaining that my pup is shy, timid and having people come in and out of the room was scaring him I asked when the vet would be able to see us. The person at the front who was also our tech said to us that we were late and because of this would need to wait because the person for the next appointment showed up on time. Now, I'm an understanding person and said, "why wasn't I told that the wait would be longer?" Further said "I did call and if it was explained to me that I would need to wait then I would have arrived later with my pup to get his vaccine if the schedule no longer worked for the vet." Another tech who overheard the conversation then said out loud that "the vet would see us now." I then go back to the room which seemed like "detention" at which point the tech comes from a door from the storage closet and says, "the vet will take my pup only if he can go to the backroom and he would be given his vaccine and eye exam there." I politely said that I would like to talk to the vet and would like the service to be performed in front of us like it was in the past. The tech went back to the room and then came back 10 seconds later and was adamant that we take it (pup) going to the back room or leave it. I didn't feel comfortable with that set up and left it. Although I wanted to say more and protest further we walked out knowing that my pup still needed the vaccine. I feel like vet offices are already scary for the dog and for first time owners. I was referred to Union Square Vet by my neighbors who had nothing but good things to say. But after the treatment that was received we won't be coming back. I work in a hospital and I know that everyone (animals included) deserves exceptional care without exception and this was not done. read more

Union Square Vet Clinic, though not in Union Square anymore, is a wonderful place to take our precious felines. We have been going there for 10+ years. They are always friendly and happy to talk and they really care about every one of their patients. We had a persnickety older kitty a few years ago who was having a hard time keeping herself clean and needed to be anesthetized to be groomed (the groomer we tried 1st had to leave her haircut unfinished). It turns out that she had about 10 warts that needed to be removed. She was not a good patient and was growling up a storm when we went to pick her up. I believe that Dr. O'Nell has been on staff when Dr. Murphy was still at Union Square Vet. I agree with all the other reviewers that she is not warm and fuzzy. She is very matter-of-factly, and tends to find faults among pet owners. She scolded us for feeding our dog raw diet even though the breeder fed the puppies raw diet before we got him. Then Dr. O'Nell pushed Science Diet on us. We gave up Science Diet after a while for there is hardly any real meat in the ingredient. I had not been looking forward to the visit largely because of Dr. O'Nell. Today, however, there is a new vet who is nice and understanding. He answered our questions, and did not blame us for anything. We love the technicians - they are friendly and knowledgeable. They are actually excited to see our dog and are eager to make him feel comfortable. read more

This is strictly in regards to the grooming: I have taken my dogs here on three occasions to get groomed. The first time we were pretty pleased, they got little bows in their hair and got an even cut. The price was reasonable and all was well. However on each of our following visits the price went up and the quality of the cuts went down. The last time we brought one of our dogs in, the groomer told us to pick up our dog at a particular time and when we did so, our dog hadn't even gotten a hair cut yet. She cut it hastily and unevenly and that was pretty much the last straw- especially when we got the bill which was $10 more than the first visit. read more

Union Square Veterinary Clinic was recommended to me by a friend with a kitty. When I got my cat, I decided to bring her there. We have been going back for almost 4 years, and are greeted with exceptional friendliness, knowledge, and understanding of my crazy cat lady questions. We have had Dr. Lisa Jablonski for our appointments two years in a row, and I can't recommend her highly enough! She was obviously very concerned with the accuracy of the information she was giving me, but more importantly she made it intelligible for me, and explained everything so I could understand. Further, I think good supportive staff are vital to good quality care. Every time I go to USVC, I feel like the support staff are genuinely interested in the health of my kitty. This is not something (in my opinion) that can be taught... But it makes my experience so much more pleasant and I think impacts the quality of my kitty's appointment, which impacts her health! I am a self-aware cat lady, and I will only accept the highest quality veterinary care for my kitty. With Dr. Jablonski and the rest of the staff at Union Square Veterinary Clinic, I am confident that my kitty is receiving it. read more

I've had positive experiences with my puppy, Georgia, ever since taking her to the Somerville Vet Center, but I just recently had such an impactful experience that led me to write this review. Georgia has a very bad ear infection that required me to take her to the emergency vet to be seen immediately. I made a follow-up appointment with the regular vet to check that she was healing. It turned out the infection had not gotten much better, and it might have been because I was not giving her her medicine the right way. Dr. Kennedy came outside to where I was waiting to patiently show me how to put the medicine in Georgia's ears, and then about four days later he personally called me from the office to see how Georgia was doing and if I was able to give her the medicine correctly. I've never had a vet call to simply check in on my animal and to see that we were doing OK, and it really meant the world to me, especially during the craziness of the pandemic. It felt like someone really cared about my dog, and I'll always take her back to Dr. Kennedy from now on! I don't mind paying slightly higher prices when the staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

Let me start by saying that I do think the vets here are great, and I thought I would always stay with this clinic because of that. However, the quality in staff seems to have gone down since I started going here. You can read from a lot of the reviews the many negative experiences customers have had based on how the staff have treated them. I called to ask questions about my dog, and I have never been treated this rudely by vet staff in my entire life. First, the girl on the phone did a very poor job at explaining things, and when I asked follow up questions, she got audibly short and frustrated with me, taking on quite a condescending tone. Second, when the girl answered one of my questions about a follow-up item for my dog, I replied that I didn't realize that information was in my pet's file (thinking that's good to know so that I could then book an appointment based on the information). She then snarkily stated that she wasn't looking at my dog's file and was just saying general information that she knew. I apologized and said I had just assumed she was looking at my dog's file. She then corrected me in an arrogant tone stating that she did, in fact, have my dog's file in front of her but that she wasn't going through the information in it... I wasn't really sure how to react at this point, but needless to say, I didn't book a follow up appointment. All in all, I understand that vet staff are unable to guide you with final decisions to make regarding your own dog, and I also have had many wonderful experiences where staff are able to answer my questions thoughtfully and patiently, so that I have a clear understanding of the considerations I should be thinking about when making decisions. After this terrible phone call with Somerville Veterinary Clinic, I called a nearby ER, and the woman who answered the phone there was able to answer all my questions (and very kindly, I might add) in 3 minutes. It's sad to see that vets who care about their work will continue to lose clients based on staff who aren't fit for a customer service industry. At the very least, any staff answering phone calls should be kind, even if they are unable to answer questions that customers may have. read more

My cat wasn't getting better after a week, so we took her in for a second visit (follow up visit at a discounted price. Thanks Dr. S!) We also got instructions from Dr. S. on how to give her a pill (swaddle cat in a blanket, hold like a baby, and open the mouth and drop it in then hold mouth closed) She got another shot to help prevent infection as she found a way to get around the cone to over-groom her belly. She's now out of the cone, and a lot happier little kitty. read more

They have high turnover of staff. Most, if not all of them, are not knowledgeable and don't know their patients. They constantly make mistakes, including prescribing wrong dose on a control medication or charging you more than they should. They also charge for needle disposal fee and nurse care fee, for each cat, that is another $30. The vets constantly trying to guilt tripping you into doing unnecessary tests. To give one of many examples, my cat fell from a roof, didn't brake anything but had some leakage to his lung. A month later, no more leakage of the lung, he was sprinting up and down the hall way. Clearly signs of recovery. The vet guilt tripped me into doing another x-ray for $500+ not mentioning exposing the cat to unnecessary radiation. I spent total of more than $2500 for this accident. And that is just fluid, multiple x-rays, pain killers. And obviously the x-ray test was negative. Another example to their incompetence, my cat has epilepsy and needs phenobarbital daily. Every 6months he needs to have his blood work checked, but to do so, the blood work has to be done at a precise 4hr post last dose. So many times, the technician book an appointment for me, I get there and they tells me we are out of the window. I would have out the cat through a lot of stress for nothing. They are also inconsistent with how they are issuing out the prescription for controlled substances. Every six month I have to have this argument with them about whether I have to go pick up the prescription at the clinic or they send it directly to pharmacy. And each time, they keep screwing up the prescription in all the different ways they can think of. read more

Came in for my first visit with my dog after a recommendation from a friend. The fecal sample I had brought them came up positive for a parasite. They had these results on Sunday, my visit was one day before on Saturday. I never received a call informing me of these results. It was only when I called in myself that I found out these results four days later. While speaking with them on the phone they claimed "oh we have in our records on your account that we had spoken directly to you about it". Short story, I had never received that call. Either they spoke with a different client, or just flat out never called me and marked it that they did. On top of that I had asked for a quote to get my dog spayed, never received this until I had to ask again. I was then quoted out 800-1200 dollars, ridiculously expensive for a 15 pound dog. Went to another vet and was quoted 250-500. They seem to have good reviews, and I may have caught them on a bad day, but my experience was definitely worth 0 stars. read more

While I have found the doctors there to be fine, I am outraged by their shady billing practices. Every visit there is an unexpected or just kind of shady charge. This last time, was the final straw. I went to my dog's annual visit, had the check-up, routine vaccines and Lyme and Heartworm test. The Lyme test came back positive, and I was told to come back to the office for a tech appt so they could redraw blood and have it sent to a lab for results, which would tell us whether the Lyme needed to be treated or not. After the appointment, which totaled 230$, I noticed an individual 52$ charge for an office visit. When I called to ask why I was being charged for the office visit, since I had already paid for an office visit at the annual exam, I was told it was for the "technician's time" to draw the blood. When I then asked to speak to a manager, I was told that the 52$ charge was actually for the phone call I would be receiving from the doctor to tell me the results of the Lyme test. I feel like after years at this clinic, they care most about milking owners for every penny, than about the animals. Sad. read more

I have been taking my cats here for years and I can't say enough good thing about this place. The doctor is extremely nice and seems to have a natural ability to make my pets feel calm when they are there. The other staff is really nice too, they are friendly and overall the place is very clean. When it came to the bill too, it wasn't that expensive, and I like the way they do it better than the place I went to before. They were very upfront and never try to sell me things my pets don't need. So it you have a pet you care about, take them here, you'll be glad you did. read more

I am a cat rescue volunteer. I used to have the largest file at this vet. I stopped going last year when they insisted on charging me $60 for the mini exam on every cat I brought in - even when I told them I just needed a combo test. They also charge me $75 for a combo test that any other vet will charge me $40 for. They charge $200 more for spaying than Porter Sq vet. If you want to waste your money, feel free. It is not as though the service warrants the extra charge either. There is only one vet there, and I had to wait nearly 30 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time today. The tech staff is nice, but there is nothing about this place that justifies the extra costs. read more

This place is garbage, do NOT ever go there. First, no one answers the phone there and it's hard to contact them to make an appointment or follow-up questions. Took my 8-week puppy there for an initial visit and the vet recommended a treatment and a special diet -- however, he didn't explain any details of the treatment -- he passed on to a technician who was unable to provide any clear answers to my questions -- how long was the treatment for, how long should I feed the special diet? Ended up researching online and was able to obtain better answers -- in fact, the tech later called me to tell me she was wrong about a few things she had told me. Clearly no one cares at this vet about providing accurate information. They don't care at all about providing decent service. I also think I was overcharged because the special diet was for less than a week but they sold me enough for a month -- a total rip off that cost me $500. read more

I thought I might try them again after our new Vet was in transition. The office is shabby. There will most likely be no one out in the waiting area when you arrive. Eventually someone may emerge and check you in. There are people on the staff who should clearly only be allowed to interact with pets because they have no ability to tolerate humans. This place should come with a giant red flag. Last week I brought my little baby in after she'd been getting sick off and on for a couple weeks - our guess was she was licking up road salt from somewhere, but she was dehydrated enough that it was time. A rather hefty bill and some fluids later, we headed on our way with some medication I was told was an anti-nausea and antacid medication. Silly me, believing what my trusted veterinarian had told me. This medication (Metronidazole) was in fact an antibiotic for any number of more severe GI infections, with side effects of vomiting, anorexia, and many other ailments that have since gotten increasingly worse. Thankfully, we became aware that the medication was making her sicker, and since stopping it she has begun improving again. I cannot begin to express my outrage at being so boldly lied to. What else was a lie? What else was messed up? They took her into the back room to administer fluids and pepcid - did that even occur? That was one costly mistake on my part to ever set foot in this facility, and it is not a mistake I will ever again make. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!!!! read more

We have had such a great experience at Union Square Vet. We have been with them since we got our puppy last year, and they have been there for us through the many vet trips we have had. Always gentle and accommodating to our sometimes feisty little dog. They have also recently expanded their office, and it looks great in there. Very clean. We moved recently, and still make the trek to Somerville to use their services. Highly recommend. read more

We had a mix of positive and negative experiences during our year bringing our cats here, both in terms of the staff and the care. Ultimately, their misdiagnosis of my cat's heart condition is what makes this a 2-star review. We brought our cat in because he didn't seem to be feeling well, and during his exam they told us that he both had a heart murmur and severe dental disease that would require many extractions. In order to do dental surgery, which itself would be $1,000+, they told us we would need to pay $495 for an echo to check out his heart beforehand. Since his vet paperwork from his adoption made no note of a heart murmur, we wanted to get this double-checked before considering spending so much $$ and putting our cat through all this. We had two separate vets, including one that specializes in heart conditions, check him out -- there is no heart murmur. Not only that, but when we took him to get dental work at a different vet, the quote was half of what Union Sq. quoted us. And after they cleaned his teeth, they determined that he didn't even need any extractions! I hope the team at Union Sq. looks into how they do physical exams for cats so that other pets don't get misdiagnosed and end up with unnecessary and costly procedures. read more

Don't judge this place by it's overall star rating on Yelp. The current vet, Dr. Scanlon, is wonderful, as the vet tech, Jess. (Apparently Dr. O'Neil is in on Mondays, though. I've never met her, so this review is only about Dr. Scanlon). Dr. Scanlon was truly wonderful when one of our cats was very sick, calling us with test results before the clinic was even open, promptly sending records to the vet hospital, and writing a personal note after everything was said and done. He has treated our other cat and new kitten as well, and has a wonderful bedside manner, as other reviewers have mentioned. He never makes me feel like a bad pet owner, a feeling I've had at other vets, and our cats always seem happy to be poked and prodded by him. I've also never had a problem getting an appointment, even on short notice. One last thing- the first time I went in, there was an owner in who's dog was very old and sick. He came in without his dog, just to talk to Dr. Scanlon about treatments, and when would be the right time to make that difficult decision. Dr. Scanlon took him into his office and the talked for about 15 minutes, just going over how the owner was feeling, how the dog was feeling, etc. It was certainly above and beyond what I would expect from a vet, and definitely above and beyond what I've ever experienced from a people doctor! This place is great! I had just adopted a cat and neeed to find a vet close by. This place is walking distance from my apartment. I called around 9am to make an appointment, and they got me in for the same day!! It was raining and just so miserable outside. On the way to the vet, my cat (Angelica) shat in the carrier. Poor Angelica was sitting in her own shit. And I freaked out, not knowing what to do. (I have never had my OWN pet. But I have lived with many pets over the years. And my boyfriend is the more experienced one, but he wasn't with me on this vet visit.) I get to the clinic and look all panicked and said "she took a shit in the carrier!! what do i do!!!" and the lady (Assistant?), without hesitation, said "I'll clean her up don't worry." They gave her a bath AND gave me a towel for the cat carrier (Thank you!!!!). So kind!!! Then when it was time to meet the doctor, I was getting nervous. But Dr. Scanlon is VERY kind. He could tell I was very jittery, since this was my first time to bring a cat to a vet on my own. He explains things very well, and very thoroughly. He makes sure you understand everything, and you aren't left with any questions. I will definitely come back and I think this vet is great!! read more

I've been coming here for the past year and a half for both of my kitties and have had an overall great experience. Very cost effective services, easy to make an appointment with flexible availability, friendly techs and vets! My older cat has had quite a few trips due to allergic skin issues, and dr's have been very thorough in answering my questions and giving me the best treatment options. Also, she is NOT a fan of being handled. The techs and vets have been very skilled at handling her despite her temperament, and now she is getting used to the every three month visit :) very grateful to have this vet in my neighborhood! read more

Dr. Scanlon is a well trained vet, excellent at explaining what's happening and what your options for treatment are, easy to talk to and great with followup. (It does always take me a minute to adjust to his brogue--he talks so quickly and so softly!) He even called to check on my kitten who had been suffering a hell of an upper respiratory infection--sticky yellow goo coming out of eyes and nose--and the antibiotics he prescribed cleared that up. He has vaccinated my cats, dewormed them, told me what to do about the big spreading rashy bald spot one cat had on his back leg. I've also been there when he had to treat unscheduled emergency cases a couple of times, with enthusiasm and a real desire to get the animals well. He's not incredibly affectionate with the cats, but I'm not taking them there for cuddles. He gets them well. Now a qualifier: this vet, while good at treating injury and disease, does not seem to have thought much about nutrition. The place is stocked up with Hill's food, probably the worst pet food I have ever seen. If this vet hands you a sample of that food, smile, say thank you, then as soon as you're out the door, pop it in the nearest trash. read more

I've been taking my cats to Union Square for about 2 years now. I can't say enough about Dr. Scanlon. He has such a nice way with animals and is so knowledgeable. The girls at the desk (I believe the vet techs) are so sweet and you can tell they love each animal that comes in. Have been here a few times. Was told they will take pet in, then the vet will call you to discuss what will be done moving forward. Until my pet's vaccination appointment they brought out a quote, took my pet, said the vet will call you. I was never told reading a quote is "Informed Consent". I didn't sign anything to consent or never verbally said ok he is getting these vaccines. Would have been nice to know which vaccines was decided on. Instead the vet called me and said he did great with his vaccines. As even before the appointment the vet tech said ya we don't know if we will do rabies today, he is of age, but might be too much for today. In the past a quote was never brought out before the appointment. In the past the vet called and talked about what would happen moving forward. Called to discuss this with the office manager. She was very rude not apologetic at all. She demanded that by me reading the quote that is informed consent. When in the past due to covid the vet will call you and decide on treatment. The office manager should have been way more acknowledging to their lack of communication. Would not recommend. read more

I have never been treated in the manner that this staff has treated me and my dog . They left me waiting for an hour. To fill medication for a dog that is in pain. And may be dying. Never told me it was going to take that long. They did not give me the option to know that I could have come back. After all that they did not fill the prescription correctly. When ask why they put us threw all this the stuff the staff told me they had no reason and because we were upset they said they would no longer take my dog that is real sick and the have seen her for 10 years. Very cold no compassion. Disrespectfully was talked to Also gave my husband a hard time He is in the middle of cancer treatments. Very weak This place is not a place to ever bring your animal. Our old man cat Clovis is a notorious crank; he doesn't like people in general and only tolerates 'family'. His nails become ingrown now and his coat gets matted since he's gotten so old and doesn't groom himself. He'll let us tend to his ears and face but HATES to be brushed. Union Square Veterinary's staff know him and cater to his grouchiness and tend to him with tender loving professionalism. He went in today looking like some poor old vagabond street cat (his favorite place to sleep is under our car in the driveway) and came home looking 10 years younger and so handsome with his lion cut!! I don't know how they did it !!! Regular grooming parlors haven't worked for Clovis so thank heavens for USVC in keeping our guy healthy and comfortable!! read more

Please don' t take your dog their for grooming service! My poor golden doodle got transformed into a rat. The groomer has no sense! She basically just shave everything she can including ears, face without caring about the original look of the dog. Even I could have done a better job! This is the worse grooming I have ever seem in my life. I recommend the clinic to hire real groomers and not just someone who can shave dogs without even thinking. And the tail was left unshaved!! read more

Well, with the luck of the Irish...they have a new vet who is very good. Dr. Scanlon is from a large vet hospital in Watertown/Waltham so I was pleased to see him on board and had a previous positive experience w/him. I was taking my mongrel to a different vet in Cambridge when we suddenly had an emergency and weren't able to make it to the regular vet. The girls behind the desk are really nice and patient, and I found the vet to be both as well. She was very personable and kind, and took great care of my girl. We had to come back for a re-check a few weeks later, and everyone in the place remembered my dog's name and seemed happy to see her again. I am switching to this vet permanently, it feels less like a huge corporation and more like a caring, comfy little clinic. read more

Incompetent techs and vets. I took my cat here for her annual vaccines and thought it would be a safe bet given their yelp review. My cat is totally friendly and has never had a problem at the vet, but these techs/vets man-handled her and terrified her. First of all, the tech asked me if I could hold her while they took her temp. Sorry, but that is your job! When I said no, they took her to a back room to take her temp and give her her shots. Every vet I have ever gone to has done this in the exam room with me; if you're a competent vet you should be able to give shots in front of owners and know that you'll be able to handle the pet. When I asked if they could do this in the exam room, they put a muzzle on her, claiming it was 'routine procedure.' (No wonder they wanted to take her to the back room). I have never seen a vet put a muzzle on a cat! Let alone for a regular check-up & shots. I called a vet down the street to make sure I wasn't missing something and they told me they never do that. I felt bad because my cat got terrified and started hissing, but seriously she wouldn't have done that if these techs had handled her better from the start. After all of this I had seen enough and asked to leave without her getting her shots, and they still charged me. I get that the exam shouldn't be free, but I clearly had a bad experience and felt uncomfortable with the whole thing. You'd think they'd not make me pay for having terrified my cat. read more

I was a big fan of Dr. Murphy's, and when I found out he left I was very disappointed. I read the new reviews on yelp and got worried about bringing my cat there again. I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Knox was gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. She really kept my cat calm, making the whole thing as painless as possible. Don't give up on Union Square Veterinary Clinic! They are one of the more affordable vets around the area. read more

I've been taking all my cats here for 16 years, always to Dr. O'Neill. She had to deal with some aggression and gross stuff from one of my cats, handled it with calm and humor, and sent me a card after that kitty died that made me cry. What a great place. While most local practices turn up their noses at so-called pocket pets, I was able to get an appointment quickly for my kids' sick guinea pig. Assistants were kind, efficient, and very sweet to the pigs. Dr. O'Neil's gotten some rough comments here on yelp, but my experiences with her have been extremely positive. Not necessarily the warmest and fuzziest - but based on my experience (and after speaking with friends who are vets) a darn good doc. Which is really what matters, frankly. She got the diagnosis and the treatment right and spent a lot of time with us along the way. read more

I had been going to USV (10+ years) until I recently moved out of state. (insert sad face) I absolutely LOVED Dr. Murphy and was very sad to see him go however Dr. Scanlon is just as pleasant. He is very cognizant of your animal's experience which is a big help when you have a very scared little kitty. He even knew when I brought one of my cats in that this was the first time he was seeing her. The office "girls" are also wonderful and always say hello to my pets and give them a pet. Parking can be tricking at certain times of the day (bring quarters for the meters) but in my mind it's a small inconvenience for the experience you get. read more

I can't say enough good things about this vet. My cat is an unbridled terror when it comes to dealing with vets/strangers/most of humanity and they did a great job with her! She had to have a leg amputated due to a tumor and the vet's office was great help with everything from making the decision to cost and aftercare. They even lent us a larger wheeled carrier to transport her home in, which was great since I don't have a car. They followed up with us everyday for the first week after her surgery and even snuggle her when she's drugged up and not trying to maul them. I also really like how they are open 7 days a week, so whenever your pet needs something, you can get in contact with them. I highly recommend this place! read more

I was hesitant to bring my pup here at first as I'd heard mixed things. However she was sick and it was a slightly urgent situation and I love down the street. The staff on the phone was incredibly helpful and calming. (I'm a VERY nervous mommy) and took me an hour later. They were super sweet to my dog when we arrived. The vet seems like he really likes dogs which is a plus in my book. He talked to her throughout the whole exam and really had a calming effect on both of us. He explained everything that could be wrong and went of every course of treatment. He answered all my questions in a patient and sweet manner and really made both my dog and I feel incredibly comfortable. I used to got to a SUPER cheap vet in NH, so I don't really have an idea about what a vet in a city should charge. It was more than I paid in NH, however when I was presented with the itemized bill, nothing seemed over the top or outrageous. I mean nothing is to much when it comes to my dog and I didn't feel like he took advantage of that. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. read more
