Ezra had a great first visit here! Somerville's vets are all booked up with crazy waiting lists, so I decided to try out Bond Vet because I could get an appt ASAP. I booked it online, uploaded all of his prior medical information through their portal, and now have all of his medical paperwork in one place that I can easily pull up and download if needed. I can also easily download line itemed invoices to shoot over to the insurance company for my claims. Easy. As for the visit - it's super clean and staff is super friendly. His vet had already looked at his paperwork beforehand (which is more than I can say about my own doctor) and gave me a rundown of everything they were doing that day, what else they recommended he needed to have done, as well as explain why. Overall - quick, easy, painless (for me, I don't think Ezra liked getting his shots, but he was a trooper!) As for location, it's very easy to get to if you're driving. Just park in the large open lot and walk over. It's 3 hours free parking. No need for the garage or metered street parking. It's right off the Orange Line in Assembly Row if you're taking public transpo.

This is not for the branch but for the company! Horrible Experience - Incompetent, Unprofessional, and Cost Me Thousands I booked a travel service for my cat with Bond Vet, and it turned into an absolute nightmare. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to handle basic paperwork not only cost me thousands but also made me miss my international flight. 1. Unprepared and Unhelpful Appointment I scheduled an appointment specifically for travel documentation, yet the vet had no idea about the travel requirements. They still charged me $100 for absolutely no help. 2. Unnecessary Charges for Rabies Shot I scheduled a rabies shot for my cat, which is required for travel. Instead of just administering the vaccine, they charged me another $100 for a "body check," despite it being less than a week after my previous visit. 3. Health Certificate Disaster They scheduled my health certificate appointment for Wednesday--my flight was following Monday. I requested an earlier appointment, but the best they could offer was Monday at a far-away branch. They didn't even ship my documents until Friday afternoon, meaning they'd arrive Monday morning--AFTER my flight left. When I called to ask for help, they refused to do anything. 4. Unreachable Doctors The doctor promised I could reach out if something went wrong with my documents. When I called, I was connected to a remote employee. I asked for a direct number to the vet, and they gave me the same number I called--play me like a fool 5. Medication Issue and No Solutions They prescribed a calm-down medication for my cat, but when it didn't work (as I had warned them it wouldn't), they told me to just go to a pet store for a solution. 6. Missed Flight and Huge Expenses Thanks to their incompetence, I missed my international flight, costing me $2,000 in Bond Vet fees alone--plus the cost of rescheduling my flight. 7. No Empathy, Just Money-Grabbing I was told their service is for "high-end customers" who pay for "good service." Well, if you're rich and a fool, Bond Vet will happily take your money and give you zero care or empathy. 8. Impossible to Reach Management I tried to reach management and was told I couldn't talk to a manager. They also wouldn't let me leave a message. Terrible customer service. Final Verdict: DO NOT go to Bond Vet if you need proper pet care. They're disorganized, incompetent, and only care about making money. Avoid at all costs.

I'm so happy to have found a low stress facility that is flexible with procedures and processes to make things less stressful for your pet. They don't have a waiting room so you go right to the exam room. You can also wait in the car until the vet is ready if your pet is particularly anxious at the vet. Additionally their exam rooms are very comfortable with couches and dog beds rather than exam tables and hard chairs. We love the staff and the clinic!

I was away for 2 years and returned to the greater Boston area to seek vet care with Heal as a…read morereturning client. I was met with less than acceptable customer service and fired as a client after having one negative phone call experience with front desk staff named Gouri. I had tried to explain the importance of updating my personal details in the system because of a terrifying domestic violence situation I survived but feared that my personal information may have been compromised after not having received a new client form as promised the day I updated my personal details and explained my delicate situation to the staff member. I then followed up the next day to ensure my info wasn't compromised and to ensure my new client form wasn't sent to an old hacked email address I had previously on file. I was treated rudely and rushed off the phone and treated like a task (she stated "why is it so hard for you to give me your email") when I simply needed more explanation as to if my old email was used because the promised new client form had not been sent to my new email as promised by the previous employee. Then when I asked for Gouris name to know who was treating me in such a poor way, she jumped and said "oh would you like my managers name I can set up a time for you to talk to them". In my 13 years working in health care service I've never been met with such a rude response to asking whom am I speaking with. The following events that happened afterwards are actually unbelievable. I obviously did email and ask to speak with a manager after that negative experience. No one reached out by phone. Instead I received an email writing me off without any explanation and told I wouldn't be able to return as a client with my dog. I'll include the email here with their client etiquette policy attached. Days went by, I attempted to speak with someone in admin and finally had the chance to discuss my negative experience over the phone. Basically the phone call when like this, she had two colleagues witness the phone call and that they must take her side rather than my side because they have worked they some years. They also said they never intended to take me back as a client they just wanted me to fill out the new client form as a formality to get my new email and info on file, so I was lied to and mislead into thinking that once I followed company protocol we would be able to book a new patient consult and subsequently be reinstated as a patient again. I went through one of the most challenging times of my life and had to start completely over in every aspect of my life and was met with the worst customer experience ever. Please see email below. Email from Jamie in management "Hello Raquel, Thank you for taking the time to discuss the situation today. I am sorry that we could not find a common ground to repair the relationship. I'd hoped we could talk a bit more to follow up some details about options for care but I understand that you felt we had reached an endpoint of the call. Feel free to reach out to me directly at any time in the future. I do want to reiterate my apology for not getting everything right with our customer service. We hope that you find good care for Scotch soon. regards, Jamie" Client Etiquette Policy Heal Vet is staffed with a group of empathetic and caring people who have dedicated their careers to pet health care. Not for vet reactive pets…read more Prior to this month, I was satisfied overall with Porter Square Vet despite some mild issues, primarily around communication. I don't generally publish complaints but due to the vets unwillingness to discuss their errors, I feel obligated to warn any pet owners with vet-reactive dogs. When I moved to Somerville and brought my dog to Porter Square Vet, I was transparent that my dog is vet reactive. I mentioned that he doesn't like the vet in general but that he doesn't tolerate exams. I also mentioned that I had previously used a fear free vet who was willing to do sedation for annual exams / as needed to ensure adequate care. I was told we could consider that if it proved to be necessary. At my dog's first exam with them, I was given recommendations for dental hygiene products, which i purchase and utilized. At his last exam, I specifically asked about dental cleanings, as I had noticed a good amount of plaque build up on my dogs teeth when I was brushing them. The vet looked at my dogs mouth briefly and I was told it was necessary at that time. I brought my dog in this month due to non-specific behavior changes as well as some dietary issues and worsening bad breath. The vet offered a dental cleaning/check, which I agreed to. The procedure overall went fine, but I was told my dog had significant periodontal disease and that they had removed 14 teeth which was confusing considering I was told a dental clean was not warranted just 5 months prior. Upon voicing my frustration, I was told "the vet was unable to exam his teeth due to being muzzled for the exam." My dog requires additional vet care for which I sought a different practice since Porter Square Vet was unable to develop or follow an appropriate care plan and Porter Square Vet has now opted to ignore me.

They often contradict themselves. For example, they said that stressful situations could kill a cat with a heart condition and so we should never put him in any stressful situations. Then, they said we should take him to a cardiologist (outside their office) twice a year for monitoring. Those are by far the most stressful experiences he's ever been in. Later, they prescribed him a medication in the form of pills that we were to split in half. We were to give him half at each meal. After we ran out of the initial prescription, we wanted them to be delivered. They push people to order medication through Covetrus, rather than Chewy or anything else because they make more money that way (https://covetrus.com/covetrus-platform/prescription-management/online-pharmacy/). So, we tried that. They would not approve the original prescription, and instead asked to buy tablets. They were adamant about that, but those actually were not available on Covetrus. Instead, they said we should get these compounded pills instead of splitting the original-sized pills. The compounded pills are eight times more expensive. We already pay a lot for three other cat medications and could use a break. When I asked to talk to the vet tech about this, the admin said they wouldn't talk to me. In short, something is wrong there. They often don't agree with themselves, and they're not really there to work with you to care for your pet; they're there to get you out of the way.

Although I told her I was fine, she made sure I had a comfortable place to sit and be with my dog, and got me blankets and a pillow that she told me to keep with me). The doctors were always extremely honest and transparent about outcome possibilities. They diagnosed my dog very quickly, and never outwardly broke a sweat or seemed nervous while stabilizing him. I was most impressed by the "transport service" that they provided to the ICU at the nearby major animal hospital which had more diagnostic equipment and had specialized surgeons should he end up needing that care - they arranged everything, were in communication with that hospital to make sure the medical handoff went smoothly, and then transported my dog in a van with vet techs to ensure he would remain stable. The vet techs who helped with transport insisted I keep the pillow and blankets which came in handy as I spent the night in the ICU, and were all incredibly sympathetic. Unfortunately my pup didn't make it but it was through absolutely no fault of VEG, and it is to their credit that he held on long enough to get to the ICU where we were able to discover exactly what was wrong with him and then help him pass a little more easily than he would have otherwise. My heartfelt thanks to whoever worked on Julius at the time (June 5), and especially his main vet tech. I wish I could remember her name, but she was such a comforting presence to have by my side on a night where I was given some awful news about my furry family member.

The doctor who saw us was going to prescribe and oral but they didn't have it in stock so sent us home with topical and reassured me that it should be enough despite the fact she was going to prescribe the oral if they had had it. DID NOT MENTION they could call in a prescription since they didn't have it in stock there at all. The topical was not enough. I called back to get the oral they were originally going to give and they toldme they could not prescribe it unless I came in for another (of the same visit) just bc the doctor that saw her wasn't there. I asked when she'd be back so I could work with her given that she was going to prescribe the oral anyways. They told me they didn't know and after pressing them told me she wouldn't be in for a month! A clear lie. They refused to prescribe the oral for my sick and getting sicker by the day cat unless I saw them for the same exact exam she had already given even tho THEY at the same location had already seen her and the ONLY limiting factor was they didn't have it in stock. They did NOT tell me that they could call it into another pharmacy as my initial option. Compleltly unhelpful and trying to scam money for more visits that they could have treated upfront. They do not care about the animals here they want you to be forced into coming back for more money.
