Melissa I can't put into words what she did for me and my wife she give us our baby mama Gigi and give her the best two years. We have adopted 4 more dogs over the years and she is the only person we will ever go to for dogs and is the only non family member I'll ever trust with my dogs.

Melissa is the best! So wonderful with all the dogs! Got both of mine from her and I always recommend her for daycare and/or adoption!

Me being reunited with my loss pup

Dog Mother is absolutely amazing! My dog went missing in Roxbury and some how ended up in the hands of these wonderful people! I am beyond grateful for the love and care the gave my dog! I am even hoping to support them in the future! Thank you for everything you do! Loving and rehabbing dogs is not easy! However it's so much grace in your home! Thank you again!

My Best friend

I had the best experience at the Dogmother. She listened to what I needed and helped me find my soul pup. I am forever grateful to her. She truly cares about the well-being of her animals and provides them with the best care while they wait for their forever home. She responded to every text I sent and has continued to support me even after the adoption. We need more places like the Dogmother!

Patty, the owner seemed lovely. I wasn't thrilled about the size of the crates 6x4, but figured we could do a trial run for 1 night before his actual stay. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!

Updated 11/13/18. I think they have stepped up their front desk staff in the last couple of years…read more All of the staff I dealt with in the past are now gone and those I now deal with are compassionate, personable and on their game. I want to call out one employee, Lois, who I have had the pleasure of dealing with on multiple occasions regarding my dogs' issue with Lyme disease and some of the negative side effects it can have. Lois answers phones and also mans the front desk and is extraordinary with regard to attention to detail. She has my MVP vote and is the primary reason I am upgrading my review. She takes the time to understand what issue or concern you may have when you call, she takes actions to consult with the vets on your behalf and she will call you back with feedback you may need to make a decision regarding care or examination. What more can you ask for? P.s. Just found out they have used cat and small pet carriers that have been donated that you can buy with a $10.00 donation. Lois happened to be the person who took my call inquiring about the carriers and took the time to put one aside for me that was just the right fit I needed to hold two cats without me even asking her to do that!

I would give this hospital and staff a 100 negative star review if I could. For your pets safety…read moreand your own well-being find another hospital. I don't want anyone or their pets have to go through what we went through. If I had to choose one word to describe my experience with this hospital, "abhorrent" would still feel inadequate.DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. THEY DO NOT TAKE FEEDBACK IN FACT THEY WILL DOUBLE DOWN HOW NOTHING IS THEIR FAULT AND BLAME YOU. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. I would not recommend bringing your pets to this hospital. My experience has been incredibly upsetting, and when I raised serious concerns about my pets' care, communication, and follow-up, those concerns were not properly addressed and there was zero accountability from the hospital. My cat Pumpkin passed away under horrible conditions while under their care. What has been especially disappointing is how far my experience felt from the values this hospital and its corporate organization publicly claim to uphold. In my experience, those stated commitments to compassion, communication, trust, and quality care were not reflected in how my concerns or my pets' ongoing needs were handled. Even after asking specific questions about ongoing care for my cats, Lydia and Lilith, I was left without clear answers to several important medical follow-up questions, and I was told to go to another hospital while my cats are in active treatment. Because of the seriousness of my concerns and how this situation has been handled, I am filing formal complaints with the Massachusetts veterinary licensing board and National Veterinary Associates (NVA). Pet owners deserve clear communication, appropriate follow-up, compassion, and accountability when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Please consider all other options prior to choosing this hospital. In my humble opinion the practice should be shut down all together.

McGrupps Doggie Daycare

if you need a daycare, look no further because this is the best one…read more I was leaving on a two week vacation and, very last minute, the person who was watching my one-year-old puppy (Lexapro, Lexi for short) bailed on me. I was absolutely frantic trying to find a daycare for her. I sent a message to mcgrupps, and got an almost immediate response from the owner, Megan. She walked me through the steps of what I would need to do in order to board my pup and got me in very quickly to do an assessment. My dog is very anxious and Megan and the staff knew exactly how to handle her. They answered all of my questions and helped me feel at ease about leaving my dog for the first time. While I was away, the wonderful staff posted pictures of my dog every day on Instagram so that I could see what she was up to, which made me feel so much more at ease. I even called for an update a couple of times (crazy dog mom, i know) and the staff were so kind and took her time to talk to me about my girl. When I came to pick her up, she was bathed and ready to go. Being at the daycare, I can see that Lexi has opened up and made tons of friends. She didn't even need her anxiety medication because of how well she was taken care of. I couldn't be more grateful and I am so excited to have a reliable daycare to send Lexi to whenever I need it. thank you mcgrupps!!!!

We are so lucky to live down the street from this clean, friendly, dog orientated facility - even for the high need pups! Highly highly recommend!

They don't pay attention to the dogs well-being nearly enough, for example we have been leaving our puppy there and have told them that he is having diarrhea but every time we pick him up and ask if his poop was normal they says, "oh yeah, everything was fine" or "I don't know, I didn't work with him" and then when he gets home he continues to have diarrhea. They don't interact with their clients at all, at the end of the day they are just telling you what you need to hear to leave them alone. The only positive thing I can say is that our puppy comes home looking happy and he is tired from playing. Edit: 3 days after posting this review, instead of reaching out to me they called and tried to bully my fiancee into changing it deleting this review. Rather than addressing the issues she just denied any problems and ended up just making my fiancee upset.
