When I drop her off she is always excited to see Brenda and starts whining before I even get the car in park.

If I could give Yappy's 1000 stars, I would. I have a 1 year old mini bernedoodle named Rocco and…read morehave bringing him to Yappy's since he was fully vaccinated. They have been helping me care for him and raise him and I couldn't be more grateful. The team at Yappy's is unbelievable. Rocco is a maniac 98% of the time and they are so patient with him. Every person I have met at Yappy's is truly amazing. Always smiling, they treat the dogs so well, they are just a genuinely great team who really care about the pups. I ask Rocco "do you want to go to the playhouse?!" and he does a little dance and can't wait to get into the car. He knows where he is the moment we pull into the parking lot and can't pull away from me fast enough once he's leashed and we go up the stairs into the building. The facility itself is big! They have several separate areas indoors for the different groups of dogs and they rotate bringing them outside to the fenced in turf area to do their business or enjoy the weather and play around. In the summer they put out a couple of kiddie pools for the dogs to play in. It's also super clean considering how many dogs they care for daily. For daycare, they separate the dogs by at least size so he's not in a group with dogs 5x his size. They post so many videos, reels, and pictures on their social medias and it's the cutest thing you've ever seen. All of the dogs are so happy and enjoying their time for sure. For sleepovers, when he was super young, I would drop off his crate and requested he be crated at night so he could continue to have the same structure as home and get used to the crate and they were great about it. A few times after that, I just dropped it off and asked for it to be left open as an option for him if he wanted it and if he could be put in his own space at night and they were super supportive. Now, I don't even bother dropping the crate off and he gets to sleep and hang with the other pups for a fun sleepover! They have a separate bedroom on site where a person will stay with all the sleepover guests overnight so there is always someone with the pups 24/7. Of course Rocco makes himself right at home and gets up on the bed right against the person staying over with them on his back with all 4 paws in the air haha. They will groom him or give him a bath before I pick him up especially after a longer stay. You can email or call Yappy's and they have an awesome app you download to your phone, you upload all of your pet's information and health records, and you can book your daycare and sleepover appointments right in the app. You pick your days and dropoff and/or pickup time. It shows pending at first and then confirmed if they have a spot open or waitlist if they are full but sometimes they have cancellations day of so a spot could open up. The owner, Kathy, also texts so anytime I need something or she has an update about Rocco, she will text (or call in an emergency of course). The communication is amazing! Also in the app is all of the pricing including daycare and sleepover packages you can purchase in bulk for a discount. They are so attentive to the dogs. One time Rocco threw up a foreign object and they texted me immediately and sent me a picture of what he threw up. It was just a piece of his bully stick he had the day before that wasn't digesting thankfully but they were so great about it. Another time they texted me because they noticed his nails were a little on the longer side. He had just been groomed a few weeks prior but they didn't cut them short enough so Yappy's took care of it for me. I was away when his first birthday arrived and they spoiled him rotten and sent me the cutest pictures. For holidays, they will dress the pups up and take adorable pictures to take home with you. I can't say enough amazing things about Yappy's and highly recommend them! Rocco and I are so thankful!

    Kissable Paws - after grooming

REPOST: original post was deleted…read more My boyfriend and I took Archer, our 1 year old Bernese mtn/Pitbull mix to Kissable Paws July 9th for the first time. Right off the bat, Maria (the owner) was patient with us as Archer would not go inside. I came in to tell her that we would just cancel the appointment as there was no way we can get him in. Maria came outside and tried everything she could to get him in. But with no luck. Archer did like her so that was a good thing. We were recommended to give him a calming meds and rescheduled for the following week. Prior to Kissable Paws, we were taking Archer to Petco for his grooming needs. The last few times were not successful as Archer was more than scared like he was terrified to go inside like something bad had happened. So glad we found Kissable Paws, Maria and her assistant Julia. They are the most patient people and I'm glad that Archer is comfortable with them! Our second try was every bit successful! Maria was ready and she got Archer inside. He saw that there was nothing to be scared of and he got so excited, he just wanted to go in the waiting area with the other cute doggies! As for the grooming itself, Maria has a lot of experience taking care of difficult dogs that other groomers simply reject. She was able to wash him, cut his nails, dry him and trim him (in places other groomers couldn't!) Maria and Julia took care of Archer in a loving and patient way that my boyfriend and I truly appreciated. Kissable Paws is definitely our exclusive grooming salon! Will 100% recommend them to everyone we know with doggies and cats (which we will definitely have to come in and bring them one of these days) :)

Be aware, a very cute cat named Cooper roams and "supervises" the store (just in case you're visiting with your pet). This store is full of cute toys for both cats and dogs. They also have a good variety of name brand treats along with the classic staple items. They have an in-house bakery for their biscuits and cute decorated cookies in the bakery display case. You can also shop their biscuits and other dog and cat treats/products on their website too! Our little dog became obsessed with their blueberry biscuits, and we ended up purchasing a cute decorated cookie from the bakery case, too. Emma provided us with exceptional customer service that truly made our and our little dog's day. You are truly amazing, and we look forward to visiting you again when in New England. We were warmly greeted by a kitty upon our arrival. He didn't even try to run out of the store! Their case in the back of the store had several different options of biscuits to bring home in cute shapes! We opted for the lobster biscuit (we were in New England after all!). The only reason I knocked off a star is because the biscuit was a little bit hard for her to chew and the red dye in the icing got ALL over her beard and on the rug. I would still say this is a great little shop to patronize!

She is 2 1/2 and spent her early life in captivity so she really behaved like a puppy, with some bad habits like chewing electrical cords and shredding paper. Rich trained her and us in the use of the e-collar, and she responds great to that, but it is even more amazing that we don't need to push the button very often. Rich did much more than just directly work on breaking those habits -- he worked on her confidence as well. Of course we all loved Meri like crazy even before the training, but now she is just such a better member of our household!

Rich is an absolutely incredible trainer-- and I say this as an owner and also as a dog trainer…read moremyself. I reached out to Rich a year ago for help with my aggressive (with a 5 count bite list), reactive, 7lb chihuahua who was going through the adolescent stage (1 yr) and was impossible to housetrain (or so I thought). My dog loves HIS people but disliked ANYONE else and would not hesitate to bite. I was at my wit's end and knew I needed a trainer who, unlike myself at the time, was e collar saavy. I chose Rich to work with for a number of reasons. Firstly, he has the dogs with him in his home for the board and train-- he doesnt kennel your dog in a separate building overnight. That is huge to me! After speaking to a handful of trainers who incorporated e collars into training, I decided to give K9 Reset a try because not only was Rich extremely knowledgeable but he is kind and respectful and really took his time to talk to me openly about his process and protocols, to reassure me and address my concerns (regarding the misinformation surrounding e collars) and that essentially my dog wouldn't be harmed, and ensured that my dog would benefit from the training. Even as a trainer, I definitely had concerns because of the plethora of misinformation out there regarding e collars and anything that deviates from all positive/force free so I was cautious, but I was also ready for and needed change. Fast forward to today-- a year from my dog's board and train and he is a totally different dog! He is 100% housebroken, never has accidents in the house, he loves his crate and sleeps there every night- no problems at all and he stays dry all night long. I take my dog hiking and for walks and he is so well behaved that no one knows he's not friendly until I inform them (and that no, he doesn't want to say hello)-- he is calm and walks so good with me. He can walk by people or dogs and no reaction-- even children. My dog still isn't "friendly" to strangers but now he behaves so differently and so much better and calmer-- which is what I hoped for. As a trainer and owner, I want to express... it is imperative to follow through and continue the training after your dog comes home no matter where they train. Rich shares so much information regarding your dog and how to continue the training with them at home so you can be successful. I not only became a better owner because of Rich but also a much better trainer! At the go home session, I got to meet Rich's wife Sue and both of them shared so much valuable information and feedback about my dog that truly helped me to be more objective when I work with my dog. I owe so much thanks to them both. Rich taught me so much and anytime I have issues, I reach out and he is there. I also have a german shepherd and have done 3 sessions with Rich during times where I needed an objective opinion and effective help. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything Rich has done and taught me-- his help has been invaluable! I know many trainers and have worked side by side with many--- Rich is truly one of the best trainers in the area! Whether your dog is large, medium, small, or teacup... if you want to change their problem behavior and create positive change... you are in GREAT hands with Rich. You won't regret it or be disappointed and you'll absolutely see results.
