Caring attendees Work is wonderful... Downfalls as my dog has become older+ she's been treated 16 yrs. Last time she was partly cut...She's 16~17yrs old + given to a new worker...Very rough when my old girl became combative.. I didn't get a call for some time. When I was called to pick her up I was yelled at for my dogs terrible behavior. She was not cut on one side but I was charged total price. They overbook keeping dogs somewhere between 4 t o 6hrs chained to tables.... Owner and all workers very kind yet too busy to care for dogs correctly. I've been using this groomer for 40 some yrs. Never again... Very sad my girl is now too old for this typ of treatment... I was never told she was having such a difficult time prior...but she'd always had the same groomer... Cathy the owner is very helpful and caring Usually at the store always yet stated she was not there at the time? Would give me some off on her rt next treatment... I have a Jack Russell Chihuahua mix and haven't brought him for a professional bath since our last groomer unfortunately went out of business. He's a rescue and can be fickle around new people. The lovely folks at Linda's told me he did great (I really hope so!) But I will say while he was happy to see me, he did seem very relaxed. The price was very reasonable for a bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, etc and even a bandana! $$ is tight these days but we will be back soon! read more

I posted a pic of my dogs skin, he was literally skinned on his scrotum. I called thinking it was just razor burn idk how he barely has hair as it is, and the front desk woman assured me he was sensitive. Took him to the vet, no he was skinned. Funny that the front desk woman didn't even ask the groomer about it who clearly is at fault and didn't report her mistake my poor baby!!!! I really like booking with Destiny. My puppy always comes back smelling wonderful, clean and brushes/blow all the loose hair out! However, I don't believe that they are as attentive prior or after their appointment. This place is known to be very flexible with drop off and picks ups. It's great for those that need to get errands done. I left my dog w them for about 5 hours max? I was told his appointment would take about 3 hours and they will let him out to do his business in between. When I got him he was pretty shaken, then right when we got outside he started to urinate right away when exiting. But what bothered me most was when I was told a tick was found under the kennel. I asked if they found a tick while getting groomed and they said no. Also, my dog went to the vet that week and he was tick free. He gets all of the preventative. Do they not clean under the kennel after every dog exchange? That's not ok and they should be more attentive. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my dog kimbo...I have always been so happy wit the work Kathy at Linda's has done on my dog buddy as from the previous photos...but I can't sit here all quiet anymore about what happened to my dog kimbo...his balls were injured while getting his sanitary area done...they r denying what they did to him but I'm vigilant n take pictures before n after my dogs get groomed as shown wit my buddy boy...I have talked to a lawyer about it n I have a case pending against this shop...DO NOT bring ur dog n allow destiny to groom them...she hurt my baby...he was uncomfortable for days n after I brought him back for Kathy to look at they denied any wrongdoing...I have been bringing my dogs there for grooming for 2 years n I will never ever bring either of my dogs there again not even for nail trimming...I wasn't n am not looking for free services or anything from this place I'm jus looking for reimbursement for his discomfort...his manhood was hurt...u men out there can relate if u manscape n nick ur sack...I have told all my friends and family do not bring ur dog there anymore cuz they don't care if they hurt ur animals for chump change If I could give a minus review I would...something that was only 10 bucks turned into something way bigger read more

I was pleased to learn Linda's Critter Corral also grooms cats, and brought my 10-year-old cat in for a full groom. I was able to easily make an appointment by phone for first thing one weekday morning to minimize stress and other animal encounters. When I arrived, my cat's name was on the Welcome board, and they took all of our info and details for the grooming. She needed some de-shedding and de-matting from being so fluffy in the recent heatwave, and she came back looking like the gorgeous poofball I know and love. They told me she was very calm and well-behaved, and was even wearing a bow when I got her back. The place is pretty small and low-tech, (e.g., they wrote my client info into a book with pencil and charged me $1.50 to use my credit card), but the service was top-notch. I plan to bring my cat back here for all future grooming needs. read more

This was my first time bringing Olive to Linda's. It was easy to make an appointment, in fact, they had one available for the next day! When we arrived they had her name on the welcome marquee! So cute! The groomer took the time to ask and clarify how I wanted her cut and was receptive to my requests. It only took a couple hours and Olive came out looking great! The cut was perfect and they were nice enough to add a bandana and matching bow. The most important thing is that Olive didn't come out stressed. She seemed totally herself. I recently made a trip to Boston to visit with family and brought my two cats along with me. While there, we visited with a neighbor who also had a cat. I had commented on the cat's beautiful coat, and they told me that they'd just had her groomed...and that they've been taking her to the same groomer for years. I asked for the groomer's info (it was naturally for Linda's Critter Corral...) and decided to make an appointment while I was in town. But first I wanted to check the reviews for this place here on Yelp. At first I wasn't convinced because I only saw three 5-star reviews, until I later realized there were TWENTY-EIGHT other 5-star reviews for this business, that for some reason were filtered. (So please be sure to read the Filtered reviews for this place as well, to understand how great they apparently are....) I'd heard this complaint before...that Yelp's system for posting vs. hiding reviews is seriously flawed. We recently took our dog to Linda's Critter Corral for the first time because our 6yr old Pit/Boxer-mix, Roxanne, decided to chase after a skunk. Normally we handle bathing and grooming ourselves, or take her to our local 'mega-pet-emporium' for nail trimming, but the wretched skunk smell required professional assistance. We were leery about bringing her our usual retailer, because she had recently become very apprehensive when going in for trimmings, and had even snapped at one attendant. This was a first for her, and extremely alarming to us. So for a full groom, we decided to try something different. Linda's was ideal for us because it is walking distance from our home, which meant we wouldn't have to put the smelly creature in the car! We arrived to see her name posted on the "Welcome board" outside, and we were greeted warmly when we walked in. They gave an approximation of the cost, and detailed the deskunking treatment. While being led out back, Roxie showed minimal signs of apprehension, even though she clearly recognized the smells and sounds of a groomers office. When we picked her up, she was calm-ish and happy. The staff reported that she gave them no trouble, even while trimming her nails. The experience signaled to us that the environment at Linda's compared to the local 'mega-pet-emporium' made a giant difference. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff at Linda's and the level of care they provide. Our canine left smelling better - albeit still slightly like skunk - but more importantly we felt like she had been well cared for, and treated as more than just a number. And while yes, it probably would have been cheaper to take Roxie to a large retailer, it also would have been a far worse experience. We would recommend Linda's to anyone looking for a better experience for their pet. read more

We used to take our dog Fred to one of those commercial pet places. I won't name names here. He was terrified! The last few times we took him, our big 'tough' 85 lb german shepherd mix would pee once we walked in the door with him. He came home from there once with a cut, another time with an ear infection, and another time temporarily lame. We tried grooming him at home because we didn't want to put him thru the trauma anymore and it was hard. Linda's was recommended by 2 neighbors, the vet, and two customers at the vets. We took him today and it was great! Eve groomed him and she was wonderful. Fred has a new friend in Eve and we have a permanent grooming place now. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! I have a 2yr old cockapoo,who from day 1, has been more then "sensitive" when going to the groomers. He came out smiling (if that's possible) & tail wagging!! Sarah, who wast Chico's groomer, did a phenomenal job. She took it slow with him & was so patient with him. He came out beautiful!!!! I couldn't have been more elated. If taking your four-legged companion to a groomer precipitates a tweedle dee or a tweedle dum, reconsider their groomer. Grooming can be stressful for a dog. Imagine a babysitter, faking affection for a paycheck, then when mom or dad leaves, they take you to the back of of the house, and put you in a kennel crate, or a run. In the crate , you watch big dogs, little dogs, dog's dogs, and dogs from all walks of life howl, defecate, bite, shake, growl, wince, and maybe even fall off the groomer's table, nearly hanging themselves trying to escape. Imagine strangers touching you all over, while talking among themselves in a foreign language, brushing, often yanking the mattes from your hair, exercising shears close to your eyes, making you blink as if you've a nervous tick. Imagine having your intimate crevices soaked, soaped, standing for long periods in awkward positions, then sadistically, someone puts a hot blow dryer to your face for 15 minutes. A visit to the groomer's, I imagine, can feel like a dog's P.O.W. camp, water boarding included. Keep in mind, your dog is innocent. Not pleasant, is it? So, choose your groomer wisely. Select him or her as if they were your child's babysitter. Enter Linda's. If it's your first visit, you'll pull up and see a sandwich board welcoming your dog by name. Someone will greet you, then your dog. They'll give you an approximate time and price. They'll call you in a few hours, telling you, "She's ready, and the cost is $$." Cool. You pick her up quickly because she doesn't know this pack, and you want to minimize her potential trauma. Well, when she comes out, she's happy, not angry that you left her. So happy in fact, you wonder if they put something in her water. Rottweilers to poodles, they'll love Linda's oodles. You will too. read more

The staff did an excellent job with our shih tzu mix. We recently adopted him and he had not been groomed in a while. As a result, the staff members worked hard to de-mat and wash him. I am very impressed with this groomer. The owner and the people that work there are kind to both animals and their humans and the atmosphere is never frantic so the animals are as calm as possible in that kind of groomer/veterinarian situation that can be stressful for animals. The place is always VERY clean and they are very good at listening to any concerns or requests without making you feel rushed or like you are being demanding in some way. We have taken many dogs to many groomers in several states over the years and my family has had mostly miniature schnauzers for decades. This type of dog has a very specific type of cut and some of our dogs have been award winning show dogs so expert grooming is an important part of properly showing this breed. When being shown, these dogs must have their coat managed in a certain way so that they grow wire hair. When not being shown, they at least need to have the proper cut to really look their best and represent their breed. Linda's Critter Corral got the cut done correctly on a miniature schnauzer when we asked for them to do a show cut from internet images. I have seen every kind of dog, and CATS, coming out of this place and they always seem pretty happy and look great. We have found a new groomer and we are thrilled! This is a place that makes everyone feel welcome and I would take my daughters mixed breed mutt there as fast as I would a show dog because it is that kind of place and best of all, now everyone is happy when we bring dogs home looking great and done right! update:**** make sure you are clear about what you want with the actual person doing the work each time to get the same 5 star outcome on proper cut every time.
